Hi friends! Let's start the week off right with the next, latest, greatest, STAMPtember stamp set! Today I'm introducing the limited edition stamp set collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and our lovely friends at WPlus9! Yay! It's called Holiday Trimmings! I have been a fan of WPlus9 for a very long time and this Christmas set designed for the STAMPtember event is lovely! I used the Christmas trees and the beautiful sentiments to stamp a set of gift tags to tuck away for the holidays. I can grab them and tie them on a package or a gift bag when I need some extra flair. I used kraft paper and white ink which is always a good combination in my book!
The trees stamps are two step stamping and I love that! I started by die cutting my pretty SSS stitched tags out of kraft paper. Then I went back with the scallop edge die and cut a border across the bottom. Then I die cut a second tag out of patterned papers to layer underneath the scallop edges! Easy as 1-2-3! (Supply links for the dies and paper are at the bottom of my post). I stamped the trees in crisp white ink and then layered red, green and aqua ink over the white. Very retro chic!
I added white ink snowflakes using the included accent stamps. Then I took Silver Stickles and added shiny glitter to the centers of the snowflakes. Just for a hint of shimmer! Pretty twine bows make the project complete!
I had fun mixing and matching the colors of the words and the twine/papers! There are soooooo many pretty 6×6 paper pads for the holidays this year. I sense some paper hoarding in my future! LOL.

I love patterned paper, too, but am resisting any new purchases until I’ve used about half my stash.
