  • Pretty Pink Posh – Birthday Celebration February 2023 New Release! Gift card holder birthday card!

    Hello crafting pals! Happy Saturday! Hope your week was awesome! We have had a couple of weeks of sunshine here and the flowers are going crazy. We already have about 20 fully bloomed daffodils, and the tulips are sprouting! Tons of blossoms on all the trees and lots of camellias too. It feels good to be outside this time of year and I like it that it's still cold at night. I've been busy with tons of activities, mostly at church, and not as much crafting. Life is good here at the moment. Today I'm here on the blog as part of the giant Pretty Pink Posh Ninth Birthday Celebration! One of my favorite companies is nine years old this month – yay and congratulations to Pretty Pink Posh! 

    In order to celebrate PPP's birthday, there is a huge four day blog hop and also next week a big Instagram hop! Today is my day to join the blog hop and I'm glad you're here!     My finished card is an A2 cream card base. I layered pretty purple cardstock and purple gingham as my base. My card features the brand new Gift Card Bag Die, The brand new Birthday Sentiments stamps and dies, and the brand new Wish stamps and dies. I used a color palette of purple, green, yellow and cream, with bits of gold and some sparkly glitter!

    The star of the show is the awesome new GIft Card Bag Die! It perfectly holds a gift card for any occasion. I made a fun birthday card with mine to use all the new supplies! I die cut the bag from cream cardstock and gently inked just the bottom of the bag using Distress Ink and a Blender Brush. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto a vellum strip to go across the bottom of the bag. The sentiment is brand new and I LOVE it!

    The top of the bag die has a pretty zig zag edge which just adds a nice detail. When I die cut the bag, I die cut a purple handle for it. I used a previously released die set to make some matching purple bows for the top. I tucked in some crumpled up vellum to look like gift bag tissue!

    I colored everything with Copic Markers and added white gel pen accents. I splattered on gold paint and purple ink to the bag for a bit of artistic interest. I used a scallop circle and another cream circle to serve as my focal point for the birthday icons.

    Here is my card with the coffee gift card tucked inside!! Fun fact about me – I collect Starbucks cards! For over twenty years! I have hundreds of them and so I can always find one that matches a theme or is perfect for the person! This one has a pretty birthday cake on it.

  • Pretty Pink Posh January 2023 New Release Blog Hop – Love in a Mug!

    Hello my sweeties! Happy Friday – the first Friday of 2023! Happy new year again! LOL…. Seriously, wishing all of you a great start and hope you've had a good week! We have been having glorious magnificent rain all week. Our thirsty ground is soaking it up, and it's perfectly cozy inside by the fire. My favorite! My week has been pretty busy with work and organizing (and the dreaded taking down of Christmas decorations)…  It's time in the craft room to transition over to Valentine's Day mode! Hearts, and candies and cupids and all those fun things! I always like it when it's time for a new crafting season. I'm ready for LOVE! Today is day two of a giant three day blog hop celebrating the new Valentine 2023 release from Pretty Pink Posh! Woohoooo! Always so happy to be included in the festivities!!     So today's card combines two of my favorites things – coffee and love! Because I LOVE coffee! Hee hee. My card features the brand new Valentine Mug Dies and the brand new Love Shadow Dies. The Valentine Mug Dies pair perfectly with the previously released Winter Mug Dies. My finished card is an A2 card base made from cream cardstock. I like the cream cardstock instead of bright white sometimes. I made a pretty pink mug and then went to town adding all the fun accessories.

    Here's a close up of that beautiful new Love dies set… I used red cardstock and shadowed it with vellum. Here you can also see my layers and placement. I affixed everything else to the card first and then glued on the love last.

    I made my own background for this card and I really like how it came out! I die cut ten of the stitched hearts (that come with the new mug set) from cream cardstock and glued them onto another cream panel. I used Distress Oxide Ink and a blender brush to ink pink only on the top part of the panel. I used silver metallic watercolor paint to add some splashes and splatters. It looks so pretty in person!

    I mean, who doesn't want a pretty cherry on top of some whipped cream and a coffee??? EEK. I die cut the 'stick' from white and red and then hand cut out some stripes. I stamped the words onto vellum banners and glued them on behind the stick part. You can see lots of yummy glitter. I used my Glitter Duster and Rock Candy Glitter for this part. Love it!

  • Wishing you a very Happy New Year and a great 2023!

    Hi everyone! Happy New Year wishes! Sending you love and good vibes on this first day of 2023! Can you believe it?! Another year just flew by!! I have high hopes for 2023 and I hope we all have a wonderful year ahead. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your love and support in 2022. I am so grateful for all of you and your kindness and encouragement. This is my happy place, and you guys are a big part of it. Always a kind word and a little note to keep me going. I love sharing my joy of creativity with you and I'm hoping we can do some fun things in 2023. I don't know what's going to happen but I'm optimistic! Let's do this!!

    I have a fun and sparkly new year's card to share with you today! I used a simple color palette of gold, white and kraft to make this one! Oh, and lots of stars! The finished card is an A2 card base. I layered woodgrain for a bit of texture, then a white embossed layer, and then all the good stuff. I used products old and new from my stash….

    I started by die cutting lots of stars from vellum, gold paper and kraft paper. Then I embossed my white layer with a stars embossing folder. I splattered on some gold metallic paint over the white layer and let that dry.

    I die cut the numbers from kraft cardstock…. And I die cut those pretty words from gold cardstock!

    I mixed and matched all the paper stars until I had a layout that I liked, then I attached them to the card with foam squares to pop them up a little bit. For the finaly touches, some white paint, white enamel dots, gold sequins and mirrored stars… I just kept adding things!

  • Pretty Pink Posh Holiday 2022 New Release – Mittens – You Warm My Heart!

    It's me again!! SO many projects this month!! Whew!! I am loving all of it and it's keeping me out of trouble! LOL!! I have one more card I made with new supplies from the Pretty Pink Posh Holiday new release!! I posted my cards for the blog hop already, but today's card is part of the PPP Instagram Hop! If you're on Instagram – be sure to pop over and check out all the participants and enter to win a prize! 

    Today's card features the brand new Mitten Shaker Dies and the Winter Foliage Dies!! Cheery pink mittens and a sentiment that says You Warm My Heart! Nothing better than that for a winter greeting! My finished card is a 5.5" x 5.5" square card. I used the new Layered Snowflakes stencils to make my background layer….

    Here's a side view of all my layers… Those pink mittens are so perfect! I used glitter paper to add the snowflakes to the mittens…and a couple of little hearts to go with the sentiment. In this photo you can see the platinum white pearl paint splatters that add just the right amount of shimmer.

  • Pretty Pink Posh Holiday 2022 New Release Blog Hop! Winter Wishes!

    Hi everyone! How are you today!? How's your week going so far? I'm having a good week, but it's going by way too fast! Like how does time even go this fast?! It's finally starting to feel like Fall here in Northern California and I am absolutely loving the cool mornings! Hope you're doing great!

    Today is a HUGE blog hop to celebrate the beautiful new holiday release from Pretty Pink Posh! I'm so happy to be part of the hop and to help introduce the new stamps, dies and stencils. Everything is just wonderful. I think you're gonna love it too. Really puts me in the Christmas and Winter mood! I am sharing two projects today with the new items – a card and some paper ornaments.     Here's a side view so you can see all the layers. I die cut everything out first with my favorite cardstock colors…. Then I laid out my design to make sure it would all fit!

    That awesome coffee mug is the star of the show, but I wanted more wintery goodness! I stamped and die cut out the pretty Pine Wreath to use kind of like background paper. I die cut the Winter Wishes from rich black cardstock to be in contrast to the other colors. Everything was generously splashed with snow (white paint) to look icy.

    I die cut the candy canes and gave them a good coating of my favorite Rock Candy Glitter. I added a bit of ink to the marshmallows and also dunked them in glitter.

    Next up, I made some pretty Christmas ornaments using the brand new Pine Trees Dies! These would also be nice tied onto a gift bag or a present! They are just the right size, and really easy to make. These were made using the larges of the three tree dies.

    I die cut six pine tree shapes out of really old paper from my stash. Feels good to use up the stash! I used my Scor Pal to score each tree in half and then glued them together – so simple! I used some twine glued in the center so I could hang them.

    I splattered all the ornaments with white paint and I also added bits of Platinum Stickles to the tips of the branches. I was going for a nice vintage look. There is no end to the ideas!! Add sequins or gems, ink blending, glitter cardstock…..

  • Double Double Toil and Trouble! Bubbling up some Halloween fun today!

    I'm baaaaaaack! LOL! More Halloween fun today with a card using fabulous supplies from Pretty Pink Posh! I had this idea in my head and couldn't shake it off until I made it! A spooky (but still cute) cauldron boiling over, and some cute witchy ghosts!! Hee hee! I am OBSESSED with these ghosties! They are one of my favorite things released this season from any company. EEP!! So the idea I had was to make some green bubbles like they are whipping up a potion! I think it turned out pretty good! I'll go through my process in a minute!

    My finished card is a white A2 card base that I covered in purple harlequin paper. I used a PPP Wonky Rectangle for my base layer. They I die cut a cauldron and some ghosties! I ink blended with green and purple – ooh la la!

    Here's a good side view of the cauldron and bubbles! I die cut the cauldron from super dark grey cardstock. I ink blended with black soot distress ink around the edges. Then I used metallic watercolors in several layers for the texture. I used black metallic watercolor and silver metallic watercolors. I let each layer of splatters dry in between. That way all the colors didn't run together!! The bubbles are a mixture of Doodlebug enamel dots and PPP Droplets dyed with alcohol inks!

    I took a plastic disposable cup and made a mixture of yellows and greens colors of alcohol inks. I put in several PPP clear droplets in different sizes and basically dyed them green!! I glued them all onto the card around the cauldron using a fine tip on my Bearly Arts Glue. I think it's pretty cool!!!

    I die cut the background from Bristol cardstock and used blender brushes and green/purple distress inks to make the background. I splashed on some silver metallic paint! I stamped and die cut two ghosties and a witch hat and colored them in with my Copic Markers.

    I heat embossed the sentiment directly onto the cauldron. I mounted the cauldron to the card with foam tape.

  • Pretty Pink Posh September New Release – Fall Blessings Wreath!

    Hi sweet friends! Hope you're having a great week! What's new?? We finally have gorgeous fall weather here, and I am like a new woman! Spending lots of time outside finally and decorating the house for Fall….Opening the windows and generally doing good! And we had some glorious rain too! It's my favorite season. And, once again, I have so many ideas, and I'm already thinking I'm going to run out of time to make everything!! What have you been crafting??  Last week – thank you for all the super nice comments on my post for the new release blog hop for Pretty Pink Posh!!     My card for today features the brand new Autumn Leaf Wreath stamps and dies. I LOVE the Pretty Pink Posh wreath series, and this new one is a beautiful addition to the collection! My finished card is a white A2 card base. I did some pretty distress ink blending and then featured that pretty wreath. I also added a few elements from some of the Fall items released last year.     Here's a side view of my layers. No colored cardstock or patterned paper on this one! Just clean and simple layers. Both the ink blended layer and the wreath are attached to the card with foam tape.

    I started this card by ink blending the background! I used orange and teal because those are my favorite Fall colors! I inked the color on with blender brushes and gently faded to white in the center. After I ink blended, I die cut out the panel with a stitched rectangle die. I used silvery watercolor paint to splash on some shimmery bits!! I added white and clear enamel dots also.

    I set my inked panel aside to dry, and started working on all the other fun things. I stamped everything with black ink, and used Copic Markers for coloring. I added white gel pen accents as I love to do! I used the Falling Leaves Stamp Set and the Fall Corners Stamp Set to make my grouping of leaves and pumpkins on the left side of the wreath.

    I lined up my sentiment to go into the center of the wreath… Tip – use washi tape to tape the wreath down and then stamp inside for perfect placement!

  • Pretty Pink Posh – September New Release Blog Hop! All About Fall!

    Hi everyone!! Welcome to the September New Release Blog Hop for Pretty Pink Posh! Thanks for joining me! It's day one of a big three day hop introducing the new Fall collection from the awesome Pretty Pink Posh. Leaves, and apples, and pumpkins…oh my! Everything good and pretty for the Autumn season. You know I love it all! So happy to be part of the fun and festivities this week. I think you're gonna love this release too!! I have two cards to share today… Oh, and there will be a fun Instagram Hop next week, so I'll have a third card to share then. Yeah! Let's go!!

    First up is a card that absolutely represents FALL!!! I used the brand new Fall Basket dies with some previously released PPP stamps and dies. To say that I am obsessed with this new die set would be an understatement. My finished card is an A2 card base layered with some petite gingham and an oval frame. The rest of the card showcases those pretty new dies.

    Here's a side view of my layers and construction…. I used the Spooky Fence die to add an old white picket fence to the scene. The oval was die cut from white cardstock and then ink blended with Distress Inks.

    I knew I wanted a sign on this card….but hmmmmm. How to make it?? I used the Build A Gift Dies!! I die cut out a "present" and a "ribbon" from cardstock and then colored it like a sign using Copic Markers. Then I stamped that perfect sentiment onto the sign. I really like how it came out!! What do you think?

    All the die cut pieces were cut from colored cardstock. I used Copics to add shading onto each element. The basket was die cut from two different shades of wood cardstock and also shaded with Copics. Can you tell I had fun making this card?? (Oh, and MORE apples!) (inside joke)

    I assembled and reassembled all the pieces until I had a design that I liked, then glued everything down with liquid glue and/or small foam squares.

    I added a few tumbling leaves and some clear droplets onto the finished card.

    Next up is a card I made with the new Apple Stencils set. It's a three stencil set: apples, leaves and stems. That way it's easy to use three different colors. My finished card is a white A2 card base, layered with green gingham, then the stenciled panel. I wrapped some vellum around the card and used the brand new Grateful word die as my sentiment.

    I tried a new technique for ink blending/stenciling on kraft! I first used white pigment ink to stencil all the elements. I let the white ink dry, and went back over it with Distress Inks and blender brushes. I thought it would come out much brighter because of the white ink… It's more muted than I wanted but I think it looks sort of vintage or something because of that!! Sometimes it's a happy accident!

    Here's a photo on my work desk with the white ink concept!!! It was very easy to do this and I think I might try black cardstock next. The goal is to make the color pop against a darker background…

  • Pretty Pink Posh August 2022 New Release – Trick or Treat Candy!

    Hi sweet friends! Are you having a good week?! Are you crafting a lot this week? I've been pretty busy in the craft room this week – lots of good and fun things coming! Our weather has calmed down a bit and I can feel the light changing for fall…. I've been working on something super fun that I will be able to share next week that is alllll fall and Halloween fun too! Anyhoo! I'm here today to share my second card I made with the awesome new release from Pretty Pink Posh for August 2022!!     My card today is a white A2 card base, layered with black and white and purple! I am featuring the new Candy Treats Dies, Ghost Friends Stamps, and Stars Stencil. I'm also featuring two products from last year's release – the Boo Shaker and the Trick or Treat Dies. I used TONS of bright colors on this card. I think that's one of the best things about Halloween cards – you can just use ALLLL the colors and it looks fun!

    My inspiration for this card was a old timey trick or treat bucket! Like the ones we used to get from McDonalds with that hard plastic and the swinging handle! Brings back such good memories! The other inspiration was the CANDY that went inside that bucket! Lol! The new Candy Treats dies are wonderful. I die cut out the pieces from several colors and glued them all together. I added bits and bobs of glitter…and white gel pen accents!

    This card has a lot going on!! To make the background I did one of my fav techniques – distress ink blending tone on tone with colored cardstock! I used purple cardstock and then used purple distress inks to ink around the edges. Then I used super dark purple ink to ink the stars stencil over the ink blending. SO cool. I stamped and die cut out the ghosties and colored them with a few Copic Markers.

    I used the same ink blending technique on the pumpkin – orange distress inks on top of orange cardstock. FUN. FUUUUUN. The pumpkin die is the perfect size for the front of a card, and I use it a lot!

    I used the Glitter Duster and Rock Candy Glitter on top of some of the candies – looks pretty in person!! (Kind of hard to photo)…

    I scattered candies all around my card until I got the right look. I die cut the sentiment from silver glitter cardstock. I used glue to add the sentiment onto the bottom of the card. The silver looks pretty against that dark purple.

  • Pretty Pink Posh – June New Release – You are DINO-Mite!!

    Hi there! Nice to see ya today! Hope your first week of Summer is going great! We are in another 100+ heat wave all week so we are staying inside and crafting! Ha! We went to the Farmer's Market last weekend and the fridge is chock full of yummy summer fruits and veggies so we are all set! The one good thing about summer?? FALL is next! Lol. I'm not a summer person at all…. How about you?? What are you up to? Hope you are doing great!

    Today I'm sharing my second card I made for the new Pretty Pink Posh release for June!! There is a big Instagram Hop going on this week and I'm in that hop today. Head over to Instagram to see all the cards and enter to win some prizes! So you remember last week I made a card with trucks??? Today I made a card with Dinosaurs! I channeled my inner child to make a super fun scene with these oh so adorable stamps!! 

    My finished card is a 5.25" x 5.25" square kraft card base. I layered white circles, and some kraft hills, and the sentiment on a vellum strip…

    How cute is that sentiment?? I stamped it in black Stazon ink onto vellum and added some brown hearts – you know – keeping it masculine but still cute! All I can think of is JJ Walker saying DINO-MITE and I am transported back to the 70's! My color palette was inspired by the 70's actually!

    I stamped and die cut out all the pieces: trees, dinos, volcano… I colored everything with Copic Markers and added white gel pen accents for good measure. The leafy border was die cut from green paper and then inked with a sponge dauber and distress ink.

    My finished card is an A2 white card base covered in pretty rainbow plaid paper. I layered some white layers, with ink blending, and then my trucks! This card would be so fun for Father's Day or Boys' birthdays, or really any masculine card….

    I love this sentiment!! I ink blended my background with blender brushes and Distress Ink and stamped the sentiment on top last. I stamped and die cut out all the elements and colored everything with Copic Markers. I added white gel pen accents of course.

    I wrapped some twine around the bottom white layer and then affixed everything with foam tape… Here's a side view to see the layers.

  • Pretty Vintage Pinwheels!

    Hi friends! Happy Monday! Did you enjoy a nice weekend? Did you celebrate Easter or Passover? We had a really lovely Easter weekend! We did tons of church activities and rested and enjoyed a rain shower and it was all good! We also binge watched every episode of The Gilded Age on HBO! Gosh, it was soooo good. If you were a fan of Downton Abbey then you have to check out The Gilded Age too! The same writer/creator as DA and this time the story is set in 1882 New York City. Marvelous!! This week is pretty busy here in the studio with lots of good things happening. I hope you have a great week! XO

    Today the mail arrived and in the mail was an awesome package from Pretty Pink Posh! And I finally got my set of 3D Pinwheel Dies! Well, you know I ripped open that package and made pinwheels on the spot! Ha! I was so excited to get these pretty dies. I stopped everything! I mean, pinwheels, but with scalloped edges??? Yes please!! Sign. Me. Up. I made some vintage looking pinwheels out of a beautiful paper collection from Simple Stories. These are great for decorations: cupcakes, place settings, packages….even cards! You can use them on anything! Here are my pretty vintage pinwheels!

    I can't even tell you how easy these are to put together! Paulina thought of everything – One die cut, one brad, done! The edge makes it perfectly festive.

    These look the best I think with double sided papers!! SO PRETTY!!! I used my glue gun to attach the pinwheels to some paper straws. So easy to just stick in a cupcake and poof – you have a party!

  • Pretty Pink Posh – Hoppy Easter Card!

    Hey friends! We made it to Friday! Yay! It has been a crazy and crafty week around here! Thanks for stopping by each day to see all the good new stuff. I have loved sharing all my projects with you! I have one more post before I take a blogging break for a few days… One more card made with the new Pretty Pink Posh Release! There was a big Instagram Hop for PPP this week, and I wanted to also share this project here on my blog. It's a Hoppy Easter card! Full of bunnies, chicks, carrots and butterflies! I used lots of Copic coloring and Distress Oxide Ink Blending….and loads of Easter colors. Let's go!

    My finished card is an A2 white card base. I layered green gingham, more white, and then my ink blended panel. The card features the new Easter Wreath set and the new Hoppy Easter Die….

    I stamped and die cut out the Easter Wreath, the extra images and the bunny and chick. I colored everything with Copic Markers and then added white gel pen accents.

    I attached the wreath to the card using foam tape to make it pop off the page. I glued the script words over the opening of the wreath. I ink blended the bottom panel with green at the bottom and blue at the top to mimic the sky and grass. I used Citron Distress Oxide Ink and Tumbled Glass Oxide Ink and my trusty blender brushes.

  • Pretty Pink Posh Spring 2022 New Release Blog Hop! Pretty Butterflies!

    My card for the hop is featuring three new products – new Butterfly Stencils, A Butterfly Shaker Die and the Smile Word Die. I went with a butterfly theme and some of my favorite colors! My finished card is a 5" x 5" square card – you know, to give that butterfly room to fly around and to showcase the stencils!

    Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop

     

    I started by creating my pretty shaker element using the new Butterfly Shaker Die in a medium aqua/teal color. I filled it with teal and yellow gems, sequins and beads. The shaker element is the star of the show here!

    I stenciled the background using new stencils and pretty inks with my blender brushes. I splattered the entire panel with white ink also. I added more gems to the front of the card to tie it in to the shaker element.

    For the sentiment I stacked three 'smile' die cuts in black and affixed them to the card over a vellum circle. I like a pop of rich black against all the other bright colors. Makes the sentiment stand out!

    I started by die cutting out a bunch of presents and bows and then I played around with the layout until I got the stack just right! I added enamel dots in pink and gold to finish off with a bit of sparkle.

    Pretty Pink Posh has the most beautiful script sentiments. This die actually says "happy birthday to you" so I die cut it from bold pink and then snipped off the 'to you' portion to make it fit on my card. PERFECT!!

  • Happy Birthday to our friends at Pretty Pink Posh – Here’s some cupcakes!

    Hi there crafty friends! Happy Saturday! What are you doing this weekend? We don't have any big plans for the weekend – just some errands and church and maybe a walk in the park. We had weather in the 70's all this past week and our flowers are already blooming! We have lots of daffodils and a few tulips are trying to pop out too! So we might have to do some yard work already! Spring has sprung in Sactown! I hope you have a delightful weekend!

    Today's post is part of the big celebration of Pretty Pink Posh's 8th birthday! There's a three day blog hop and then also a three day Instagram hop, prizes, fun, inspiration, new products and more! I am so happy for Paulina and Pretty Pink Posh and wish them many many more happy birthday celebrations! One of my favorite companies for sure!!

    My card for the hop has a birthday theme (of course!) and I used the brand new Build a Cupcake stamps and dies and a vivid, happy color palette!     I love this font, and I love that there's a matching die cut so it cuts out perfectly to put on your card! I stamped and die cut out three cupcakes. I colored them with Copic Markers and added white gel pen accents and glitter accents too!

    Here's a close up of those cheery cupcakes! The stamp set has add-ons like a cherry, a candle, a star and more! For the background I used the awesome Star Stencils from Pretty Pink Posh! I used two shades of yellow distress inks and my blender brushes to make the stars. They made the perfect background for a birthday card!

  • Happy New Year and Cheers to 2022!

    Hi friends! One more day until it's another new year! Can you even believe it? I can't! I'm gonna say – good job on making it through this past year. We did it! We made it! It's been a hard, crazy, mixed up time – that's for sure! But here we are on the brink of new opportunities and a fresh start. I am sending everyone a giant hug for the new year. I wish you nothing but peace, happiness, health and love in 2022. I do really hope that we get a break and we can get back to hanging out with our friends and having fun. Thank you so much for encouraging me this past year and for always showing me kindness and love. I am so grateful for all of you!!! This crazy crafting community is such a bright spot in all the darkness. Bless you and thank you! Happy New Year!

    I have one final card for 2021 to share with you! Of course, it's a New Year card! I went with a super muted and 'quiet' color palette and also a different sized card. I felt like making something just a bit different!! I used lots of kraft cardstock and lots of mixed embellishments to give the aura/feeling of champagne bubbles! Let me know what you think! The finished card is 6.5" x 3.5" and it's three layers of kraft. I distressed the edges and each layer is attached with foam tape so the card has lots of dimension and depth.

    The main element is that AWESOME swirling stars die cut! Oh man, I love it!! All those stars are one die cut. I used it twice, once on each side of the card. The other main element is that beautiful script happy new year die. I used rich black cardstock to make it pop.

    At first I had the script words directly onto the top card layer. But it felt like it needed something so I added a vellum circle to highlight it. I used my favorite gold paint to splash gold all over the card. Can you see it?

    I went through my embellishment bins and found items in a 'champagne' color palette: gold, cream, bronze, clear… This is the first time I've tried mixing lots of different embellishments together and I have to say I really like it!! Seems super festive.

  • Pretty Pink Posh – Autumn Greetings!

    Hi everyone! Guess what today is? Officially the FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN 2021! Yayyyyy! Happy Fall Y'all! I'm giddy with excitement that my favorite season has finally arrived! Sunday morning we went to a local antique fair and we went out early in the morning….the air was crisp and cool and fresh….and it felt like Fall. And there were big poofy clouds. Thank you Jesus I exclaimed! After the hot dry summer we've had here, what a relief to feel some fresh air. Football has started, we already went to the apple orchards and our house is wall to wall decorated with Fall decor. Life is good today! I hope you're having a good week. Lots going on right now!

    My card features the new Fall Corners Stamp Set. I tucked it into the Easter Basket Die and added a sweet scarecrow! The finished card is a white A2 card base. I layered some olive/white gingham (very old from my stash), some kraft, and then white. I used lots of Copics to color this scene with really vivid colors.

    Such a cute guy! Tip: I chose my patterned paper first and then matched the green in his shirt and the leaves – for a cohesive color palette. This is one way to bring your cards to another level. Two different greens would have looked nice, but I feel like this looks planned and matching. I put a cute little acorn tucked into his hat.

    Here's a close up of those gorgeous pumpkins!!! This floral/pumpkin spray is all one stamp. Super easy!

    I die cut the Easter Basket out of kraft cardstock and then inked it with some distress inks and added white splatters…

    I tied a bit of twine around the handle and added one orange enamel dot.

  • Pretty Pink Posh September New Release Blog Hop! Cozy Fall Critters!

    Hi crafty, fall loving friends! It's time for more Fall funnnnnn! There is a wonderful new release from Pretty Pink Posh this week, and it's ALL about FALL! Think leaves, and cute critters wearing sweaters (my fav), and pumpkins….and all that good stuff! This is Day two of a big, fabulous three day Blog Hop!     My card today features three new stamp sets and dies! I used the Cozy Fall Critters, The Falling Leaves and the Fall Corners sets!! What's not to love…and everything goes together perfectly. The finished card is an A2 horizontal Kraft card base. I layered white, and created an oval for my little scene.

    These new Falling Leaves stamps are the PERFECT size!! I'm going to use these A LOT. I stamped and Copic colored several leaves and added white gel pen accents. I wanted to create a frame of leaves around the oval…. I popped in some acorns too!

    Here are the adorable sweater wearin' cute critters!! I used a warm palette of gold and orange, and then popped in some teal. I love how they can hold leaves and acorns. I used bits and bobs of Diamond Stickles for a bit of glittery goodness.

    I used the PPP Spooky Fence Die to go behind the critters. I made the hill by die cutting three of the Borders in green paper….Gotta get creative!

    I used Distress Oxide ink and blender brushes to make a pretty teal/blue sky and stamped the sentiment directly onto the ink blending. I like how the color of the sky matches their outfits and sort of ties it all together.

  • Pretty Pink Posh – Happy Halloween Shaker Card!

    BOO! How about another fun Halloween Card? A shaker card! Yippeee! So fun and festive! Today is an Instagram Hop for the Pretty Pink Posh Halloween release!! I'm happy to be part of the Instagram Hop, and I also wanted to post my card here too. I used the brand new Boo Shaker Die and the brand new Happy Halloween script die…. This card was really fun to make!! I hope it makes you smile as big as a jack-o-lantern! Be sure to pop over to Instagram to see the hop and leave comments for a chance to win a prize!! 

    My finished shaker card is an A2 white card base. Layered with some tiny gingham, then another layer of white as my foundation. The shaker is the star of the show…. And I added some bats for good measure! All the supplies are listed at the bottom of my post.

    I love the scripty font of this halloween die!! It's the perfect big size for a card front! I stamped some yellow stars on the background after I glued on the words. In this photo you can see the side of my shaker. I used two layers of foam strips to make it extra tall for more goodies inside!

    I used one of my favorite die sets ever from PPP – these stitched leaves – to make a pretty leaf for the top of the pumpkin. I tied on a bit of twine too for good measure.

    I used liquid glue to add the face to the acetate.
