  • Pretty Pink Posh 4th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! I'm so super excited to be able to share in the excitement as we celebrate the 4th Birthday of Pretty Pink Posh stamps, dies and sequins! I have been a mega fan of Paulina and her gorgeous designs from the very beginning. And she is the sweetest, kindest person too. I was so happy she asked me to participate in an awesome blog hop to introduce her new release! Everything is adorable and happy…and I had fun making this card to share today. To see all of her designs – CLICK HERE! To see her beautiful design blog – CLICK HERE!

I chose to feature the new Birthday Scene stamp. Yes, this is one big stamp! Makes it super easy to stamp and color. These little animals look so cute with their balloons and party hats. These critters made me think of story book animals so I chose water color pencils as my coloring medium. I stamped on cream cardstock with brown ink. This lends an overall vintage and soft feeling to my card. But, of course, I pumped up the color with some of my favorite plaid paper!!

I used colors of the rainbow, in muted tones, to color the balloons and hats. The animals were made in soft furry colors! I picked up the turquoise blue as my in between layer between the cream and the rainbow plaid. I stamped and colored a present from another PPP stamp set to use as an accent at the top.

I used some of the new sequins to add little pops of yellow to the party scene! I also gently inked the edges of the cream layer with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

  • Pretty Pink Posh March 2017 Product Release Blog Hop! You’re My Favorite!

    March2017

Hi there crafty friends! Welcome to my stop on this fun March product release blog hop from Pretty Pink Posh! Yipppeeee! I LOVE PPP stamps and dies. Paulina does such an amazing job of making the cutest stamps and most innovative dies for us to play with. I'm very excited to be joining with so many wonderful designers today and tomorrow for this big hop. If you're new to my blog today – welcome! Happy to have you here for a bit! The full list of blogs for today's hop is at the bottom of my post. If you want to start at the beginning CLICK HERE to go to the Pretty Pink Posh Blog! This is a two day blog hop! (YEAH!) and there are four prizes up for grabs. Please leave a comment here for a chance to win a PPP gift certificate.

For my card today I had to use the brand new Friends Forever Stamp Set and matching dies! This stamp set has the cutest little boys and girls and a beautiful heart balloon. I used loads of PPP dies too, and a color palette for Spring of aqua and yellow. Whenever Spring hits, I am all about yellow! It's such a happy color. I used my Copic Markers to color everything and then used some new PPP Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix sequins to finish off my card.

Pretty Pink Posh March 2017 blog hop. Friends Forever

I started with a crisp white A2 card base made from Neenah cardstock. Then I layered pretty aqua on top of the white. I cut out my white layer and the scallop frame in white also. I backed the frame with yellow gingham paper from my stash. Next I stamped, die cut and colored my two girlfriends and the balloon in shades to match the papers. Before I color with my Copics I like to choose my papers first so everything will match. It's much easier to match the paper than to try to find paper to match a colored image later!

The girls are attached to the card using foam tape for dimension, to make them pop right off the page! They are so cute in their matching outfits!! The bow is from the Twine and Bows Die Set and it's just a little something for there at the bottom of my card!

  • Watercolor roses and gold hugs!

Greetings! Hello my crafty pals! How are you doing this week so far? I hope you're doing great! I have been laying low in my craft cave and quietly working on some really fun things to share with you! I had something happen recently with a friend and it really shook me to my core. I'm processing that out and trying to make sense of what happened and just generally feeling kind of down and very sad. So the best medicine for me today is time with Buddy, time on Facebook chat with my dear friend HS, and time in the studio. Those things heal my heart and keep me going. It's been a long time since I was knocked for a loop like this. I'm looking to God and completely trusting in HIS plan and knowing I just have to keep walking… His plans for me are far greater than my mere dreams anyway. There are lessons in every situation. So if you have time, stop and send me a virtual hug and I'll do the same for you!

I felt like watercoloring something and it is close to Valentine's Day and all, so I thought I would watercolor some pretty pink roses with my Zig Markers! I used the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Roses for You stamp set and shades of pinks, greens and red to create a sweet greeting. You know what they say, right? A card is a hug with a fold in the middle! I started with an A2 card base made from Fog Cardstock, which is a beautiful soft gray. Then I die cut a Stitched Rectangle out of Prima Watercolor Paper (This is my go-to watercolor paper recently).

SIMON SAYS STAMP ROSES FOR YOU STAMP SET. ZIG CLEAN COLOR MARKERS. VALENTINE CARD, HUGS DIE. WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUE. WANDA GUESS

I used three of the circle roses stamps from the stamp set, and two of the leaves stamps from that same stamp set. I randomly stamped them in clear embossing ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. All of my stamping was done on watercolor paper. Kept it really informal and loose. No plan for this part. After I heat embossed the main part, on a separate piece of paper I heat embossed the big heart from the stamp set and die cut it out.

I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers, a tiny paint brush, and lots of water to color in all the roses using two shades of pink. I colored the leaves with a pretty lime green Zig and a touch of blue. For the background I used a beautiful soft sky blue Zig Marker. Of course, the big heart was saturated with ink from a red Zig Marker. Once I was done coloring, I gave it all a blast from my heat tool to dry everything. They I went back with some pink ink and made my splatters! (I love splatters!)

I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Hugs die out of rich gold cardstock. Then I layered the heart onto the floral background with foam tape. The hugs die is glued down with some glossy accents. Use your tweezers! LOL. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Droplets for a nice effect.

I gently curved up the top parts of the heart to make it a bit more dimensional. I love that pop of color on there!

    SUPPLIES FOR TODAY'S PROJECT!

  • STAMPtember Collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh – Winter Wishes!

    Exclusive_pretty-pink-posh-01-600x282

Hello crafty and creative friends! Happy weekend! YAHOOO! It was a great and gorgeous week here in Sac-town last week. SUCH nice weather and Fall is definitely in the air. I had lots of activities with friends and with the hubs and have just generally been out enjoying the season. I'm a little sad, though, that STAMPtember only has one more week! Hasn't it been a fun ride? So many new products and so much inspiration at every turn. I have three more Stamptember blog posts and this is the first one of the three.

Today we're celebrating a limited edition stamp and die set from Pretty Pink Posh! The stamp set is called Winter Bird Friend and he's the cutest thing! A cheerful little birdie with accessories – a hat, a scarf, etc. TOO cute! I made a sweet Christmas card to share today. I used a couple of new patterned paper pads from this season, and my Copic Markers. Supply links at the bottom of my post!

I really like to combine patterned papers! Here, I've used three different papers to create life and lots of color! Then I die cut a simple stitched rectangle to make the focal point of the card. The holly leaves and berries are new enamel accents from Doodlebug. SO festive!

    Exclusive_pretty-pink-posh-01-600x282

I die cut two stitched circles to make an accent piece for the card. This is a technique I use a lot. I popped up the smaller circle with some foam squares.

I colored my birdie to look like a sweet blue bird – and picked up the aqua color in that gorgeous plaid!

  • Pretty Pink Posh New Release Blog Hop!

    AugustRelease

Hi friends! I'm happy and excited to be sharing in the fun as the lovely Paulina hosts us on a blog hop featuring her newest dies and sequins! Yep, Pretty Pink Posh has three new die sets and loads of new sequins in the shop! Woot woot!

I'm sharing two cards today featuring all three of the new dies. I used fun and fab stamp sets from Lawn Fawn on both cards. This is really a cheery post – hope you enjoy it. And, I hope you will complete the entire hop (list below). There are prizes!  Paulina is giving away (2) $25 gift certificates!! The winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. (Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 8/9/2015. Winners will be announced on the PPP blog)

You should have arrived here from the Pretty Pink Posh blog! Now let's get started! My first card features the Storybook 1 Dies and some new mini sequins. This die set is a set of stitched squares that fit together into a larger square. I thought it would be fun to use some ice cream images from the Lawn Fawn set called Here's The Scoop!

You are a sweet treat! Card by Wanda Guess. Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop stamp set. Pretty Pink Posh dies.

To tie my project together I used the same colors in all the different squares. I added pops of red to each item also. Then I finished off with some pretty pink twine. I colored all the images with my Copic markers and added touches of Diamond Stickles at the end. The sentiment is a long stamp with all the words in a row. To make it fit this spot, I stamped each word separately!

For my second project I used two new PPP dies. I used the Stitched Speech Bubble Dies and the Twine and Bows Dies. TOO cute! Then I had fun with some Doodlebug patterned papers and the awesome Gleeful Gardens stamp set. I put my card together first and then chose Copic Markers to match the papers exactly! These are some funky colored snails! LOL.

I love that tiny bow as an accent piece!! I was inspired for the project by the pretty flower shaped sequins Paulina sent me! I put a golden yellow one right in the center.

See that cute border on the bottom?? That is another PPP die called Stitched Borders 3 and I use that one all the time! It is such a happy pattern. Here I added some more flower sequins. I love how they match the shape of the flowers on the paper

My background and my images were both watercolored with watercolor pencils. They are so fun and easy to use with a water brush. For the background I used the edge of a pencil to make a nice, light shading of pink and wet it down randomly. The cupcake and the cake stand were colored with watercolor pencils to match the papers.
