Hi everyone! Happy Weekend! Hope your week was excellent! I had a busy and good week. I donated Platelets and Plasma again on Wednesday after a great Bible Study class…. And I actually built in a day of pampering for myself during the week (reading, facial, quiet time, organizing…) Last night was really fun too! Our church puts on the "Enchanted" Prom for teens and young adults with special needs, and it is seriously the most uplifting thing ever. I volunteered to be paparazzi and greet the guests and take photos!! Everyone gets to dress up and walk the red carpet and dance dance dance. Makes my heart incredibly full. Today is a day to get caught up at home! Chores and blogging and creating! I hope you have a fun weekend planned! I think we are finally at Summer here – it's the 90's every day now!
***I am aware that some of my project photos are still missing from random blog posts! I can't fix it on my end (ugh) and I'm waiting for Typepad to resolve it for me. Thank you for being patient while this all gets ironed out. It's been super frustrating! Photos are my mode of communication and it's making me kinda cray cray!***
I have a fun blog post for you today! I am a guest designer this month for the wonderful new Summer Release from Sunny Studio Stamps! I have loved their stamps and dies from day one…. Everything is so happy and cheerful and fun to create with. I made two birthday cards to share with you!
My first card for today features the brand new (and perfectly named) Scrumptious Cupcakes stamps and dies! I made a rainbow of swirly cupcakes using the genius three step stamps!! My finished card is a white A2 horizontal card base. I covered the card with teal stripes and then a frilly frame…. I used vellum and silver heat embossing too!! It's a confection! I wish I could eat this card. LOLZ.
Here's a side view of the card. I put all the layers together first, and then wrapped the embossed vellum around the entire card front. Then I glued it onto the white card base. I didn't want to detract from all the colorful cupcakes!! The cupcakes were affixed to the card using foam tape.
Silver embossing, that pretty sentiment and that perfect font!!! The white card layer is made from gorgeous dies from Sunny Studio!!
I stamped each cupcake top in a rainbow shade using three colors of inks…. I kept the cupcakes the same (brown) and the papers the same (gray) to make the colors pop!!
I added tiny hearts to the bottom of each cupcake for a bit of LOVE!
My second birthday card for today features the brand new Birthday Cats stamps and dies and the brand new Bright Balloons Dies!! My finished card is a white A2 card base, layered with rainbow stripes, red and an inked panel…. It's so bright and colorful! And birthday cats??!! SO CUTE!!!

For the top, focal, panel, I die cut a white zig zag rectangle with the MIni Mat 4 die set, and ink blended just the top with Distress Oxides and Blender Brushes. I stamped the sentiment right onto the blue portion after it was dry. How adorable are those birthday kitties??!! I stamped and die cut the three images and colored them with Copic Markers. One is Lucky, of course! The other one is Buddy, my sweet orange Tabby who passed away…and that third one is my childhood pet Tippy!! Hee hee.
Here's a close up of my layers and that pretty balloon! I want to take a moment to stress how much I LOOOOOVE Sunny Studio patterned papers!! I have a stack about a foot tall and I used them all the time!! Think stripes, gingham, polka dots and more. The reason I love them is that they are super thick, and double sided patterns…and the colors are incredibly saturated and vivid. I am telling you – check them out!! CLICK HERE to see the papers!

I’m with you on those Cup Cakes, Wanda! YUM! The FLUFFY icing & sparkling “sugar!” LOL I also LOVE how you did the background! Kind of gives a doily effect! QUITE SWEET! 😉 AND your Kitties! HOW ADORABLE!!! I like that you made each one like the kitties you had & have! IF THEY ONLY KNEW! LOL <3 We’ve still been having rain here, but able to do a little grilling here & there. 😉 Your week sounds FUN! And you are THE PERFECT ONE to be the Paparazzi with your photo skills!
