Hellooooo! Welcome to the Spellbinders March 2018 Blog Hop! What a fun hop we have for you today! Lots of awesome designers and lots of brand new products from our friends at Spellbinders! So happy to be part of all the action today. Great prizes (information at the bottom of my post) and great inspiration from everyone. I used the new Sew Sweet collection from my sweet and uber talented friend Tammy Tutterow. I loooove her designs. Did you arrive here at my blog from Tammy's blog?? Isn't she amazing?? Her new stamps and dies bring to mind a simpler time – full of love, laughter and creating. I used a few of her new products and a new paper pad and LOTS of color for my card today. I'm all about the spring color palette these days!
My card started with a white A2 card base. Then I entirely covered the card base with two patterned papers from the new Echo Park Easter collection (SO pretty). I used one of the new dies to create a pretty pink zig zag border in between the two papers.
For the focal point of the card I stamped and colored the house image and the floral spray image with Copic Markers in shades to match the patterned paper. I die cut a crisp white circle and stamped the sentiment directly onto the circle at an angle to match the roof line of the house. I die cut two hearts out of the same pink paper as the zig zag border. Here is a close up of my coloring! I LOVE to match patterned paper to my Copics. It just makes a project come alive. I added some small white lines with my gel pen for highlights.
Now I need one of my friends to buy a new house! LOL! Isn't this the perfect housewarming card?? That sweet little house is the best. I can see paper piecing it too! EEP. I added a few pearls here and there to finish off the look.
