Simon Says Stamp January 2017 Card Kit release!

Hey everyone! It's hard to believe it, but it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Card Kit! (How fast did this past month go by?) I'm writing today to introduce the January 2017 Card Kit called Snow Much Thanks! It's a perfect kit for winter crafting and has a beautiful new snowflake stamp set included. The word that comes to mind – icy! Gorgeous blue tones and pretty vellum and a sparkly sequin mix! Love it all. When I first opened the box my eyes went straight to the pretty sequin mix. So, then I knew I wanted to make a shaker card to share with you! Here's my first creation made with the new kit.

I started with a crisp white A2 card base and layered the blue gingham paper on top of the white. Then I cut a smaller white panel and stamped the pretty snowflakes all over it in blue ink to match the paper and the vellum. The patterned paper and the blue vellum are both part of the kit. Next I created the shaker part of the card by layering two Stitched Squares dies to make a frame. I attached acetate to the back of the frame and filled it with the sequin mix. I saved out a few of the sequins to add later as accents to the card. 

I love this icy blue vellum! I stamped the sentiment in black and wrapped the vellum around the bottom of the card, before attaching the front to the card base.
