Popsicles and kittens!

Hi everyone! Just a quick post today with a card, some postage stamps and a KITTEN! We have adopted a new baby boy kitty and he is the sweetest thing ever! More a bit later in my post. First up is a cool treats card to cool you off on this hot summer day!

I made this card with the Avery Elle Cool Treats stamps and dies, my new favorite background die from Reverse Confetti, and my Copics! It's an A2 card – quick and simple layout. Lots of color, and some bits of shine too! I used my white gel pen to add some accents on top of my Copic coloring and everything is attached to the card using foam tape. I am starting to really get in the swing of Summer crafting! I have lots of cards made – I just have to take all the pictures now.

The reason I was inspired to make a popsicle card is because of these brand new stamps from the post office! They are ice cream and popsicle treats stamps! And, guess what??? They are scratch and sniff too! How cool is that?? They really smell like sweet treats. After I bought them I put them in my wallet to stay flat. Later that day, I went to pay for something, and my whole wallet smelled like ice cream! LOL. Have you picked up any yet?? TOO fun!

And now for my super fabulous announcement! We got a kitten yesterday! He doesn't have a name yet! I have been so so sad since my sweet and loyal Buddy died in February. The craft room has been so lonely and I've missed the pitter patter of little feet around… We have really missed having a pet. A house just doesn't feel like a home without a pet. Yesterday I picked up this adorable little man at the Front Street Animal Shelter's adoption center at Petco in Sacramento. I'm in love – it was love at first sight. He purred all the way home and hasn't stopped purring since. He even purrs when he's sleeping! He was born in March so he's about three months old. His eyes are sort of dark blue/gray. His feet are all white and his tummy has spots. He's skinny and long and lean and can jump about five feet off the ground!! He loves sleeping on my studio desk (yay!) and is sweet as can be. He has already made himself right at home. Welcome little guy to our family! We'll get you a name soon! There are some more photos of him over on my Instagram account! (@stampcatwg)

New kitten

That's it for today. I'll be back soon with some really colorful and Summer themed cards soon! Saturday I'm headed to Hero Arts for Kathy Rac's Coloring Challenge Tour! Will I see you there? Have a wonderful day! XOXO

Awwwwgh! He’s so cute!! I’m not a cat person, but my dog died in Nov. 2017, and I was heartbroken. I just got a new pup Ruby, and life is so much more enjoyable with her!! Love your art. Please let us know his name!!
