Hi everyone! I'm in the craft studio winding down the weekend. Where did it go? I'm not sure, but I do know it was a lot of fun! The big crafty garage sale yesterday was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came out to shop and visit. We had quite a crowd. This is the fourth time I've done this and I made the most money this time around. It was awesome! It was good to see friends and fellow crafty girls. There were nine of us selling stuff and afterwards we all went out to a nice lunch together and paid for the whole thing in $1 bills! hahaha. After lunch I decided I had to spend some of my cash on new crafty products! Took a trip down to Stamper's Corner and saw my pals there, saw the lovely and talented May F teaching a class, and bought just a few things.
My card for today was made with my new goodies I bought yesterday. Paper from Basic Grey's collection called What's Up and some new dies… These new dies may just be the key to the crafty universe. I was STOKED when I found them. You'll see in a minute….
I was inspired by this card from Pinterest…and I love banners….
I used a cream cardstock base and lightly edged the base with Antique Linen distress ink. After I put the entire card together I spritzed the whole thing with Cappuccino Perfect Pearls Mist. You can see the splotches from the mister. The little flag is part of the Basic Grey collection and the flower is from Prima.
Here are the new dies, and my other supplies. The dies are from MFT and they're called Fishtail Flag Stax! OMG! Perfect flags every time!!! Are you kidding me? YAYAYAYAYAY!!! New favorite thing. Someone didn't want to move his big furry self so I had to shoot around him!
At the last minute I added a little spray of pearls…
I am so lucky to have the most sweet and wonderful pen pal!! She and I became friends through my blog! One of the best things about having a blog is meeting so many amazing, kind and talented people from all over the world. Holly is from the Netherlands and is a fabulous paper crafter. I get the prettiest things in the mail. Last week I got a package from her and the cards inside blew me away! I had to share them with you.
I can feel the love that went into this card.
These are so cool and fresh and happy…
So totally beautiful, right? Sigh.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you. XOXOXO

Love the banner card. I’m glad your garage sale was a big success. My hubby offered to take me, but I had lots to do this weekend. I, too, love the store in Elk Grove, but I only get down there about once a year (sigh).
Oh my gosh ,Wanda! You crack me up! I would have loved to see the pile of ones used to pay for lunch! And your server’s reaction to all those ones! And how funny that you buy more craft stuff with the money made selling old craft stuff! You know your addicted to paper crafts when….;) sound like a very fun and successful weekend! With an awesome bunch of cards to show for it! Thanks for the chuckles! 🙂
So, so glad that your scrappy sale was a huge success! How nice that you got a wad of cash to spend on lunch and some new goodies. I was just visiting another blog and saw those fishtail dies, and now here there are again….and lordie I want them! What a fabulous card! Love the vintagey feel you gave this and love the mix of papers and patterns.
And how sweet are those cards you got from your friend! LOVE!
Sell stuff you don’t need to buy more stuff you don’t “need.” :))). Love your card! And love your pen pal’s cards. Does she do a blog? xo
LOVEE the last card 🙂 And fishtail flags!! I can’t decide whether I really need to get them or not!
Happy to hear that the Sat. sale went so well.. The banners are so great, love the card. Your “across the sea” friend’s card with the pocket is so cute! And what neat new toys you found at Stamper’s corner. You will have weeks of fun….
Oh my gosh, flag banners! The best die ever! That is so cool, now you can have perfect banners that match. I can maybe cut one banner decent, but more than that per card? Not happening! That What’s Up is on my wish list… next payday I promise! Great cards you got from your friend in the Netherlands. There are a couple of ladies from the Netherlands in one of my on-line swap groups. I have this theory that there are more hours in the day in the Netherlands because of the wonderful, ornate and detailed cards they make.
Glad your sale was such a success. *sigh*, if only I lived closer I would have been there. Loved your card & those dies.
Holly makes fiantastic cards. I have made quite a few online friends that I cherish.
