Hey crafty people! Happy First Day of Summer! Yes, today is the first day of Summer! I'm happy it's here but only because now we are one season closer to Fall! LOL. I am loving the longer days and being able to be outside at night. There are tons of fun activities in Sacramento during the Summer – always something to do. I also love the Farmers Markets all over the place, and the beautiful produce to cool with…. Good things about Summer! And, tropical crafting! You guys have all figured out that I LOVE anything tropical.
Today I have another fun beach theme card perfect to kick off Summer 2018! I used fabulous stamps and dies from Waffle Flower, my Copic Markers, and pretty pink striped paper. These images were sooooo much fun to color! I added glitter tooooo! Happy Summer everyone!
I started out with a white card base in A2 size! Next I layered some hot pink striped paper (From Sunny Studio) and then another layer of white. Then I stamped and die cut out all of the images and die cut the leaves from Juicy Pear Bazzill paper. I colored all the images with Copic Markers.
After I Copic colored the images, I added touches of white with a gel pen, and then Diamond Stickles to make them shimmer in the sun! I stamped the sentiment in the lower right hand corner. SO perfect!

These Greenery Dies from Waffle Flower are my go-to for tropical cards. They are the perfect size and scale. After I die cut them, I inked the edges with a sponge dauber and Twisted Citron Distress Ink. Then I added white gel pen accents and Stickles. Delicious!
The other night Mark and I went to a fun event at a new Ice Cream Shop in Sacramento. It's called Cream! OOOH LA LA. This cone was to die for! It was 100 degrees out that night so I had to take this picture fast and then devour that cone! YUM! Another joy of Summer!

That set is so adorable. I have the leaves already, so just maybe…. that cone looks so wonderful! I just finished mowing and some string trimming, lots of warm work.. glad for summer. Longer days are my favorite. We have a daughter getting married in August. I only hope it isn’t scorching HOT. Hope you have loads of sweet ice cream evenings.
