Hello friends! How are you this fine day? Hope you are having a good week! It's been hot here in these parts and on Saturday the air conditioner broke at our house. The new one is installed today and I'm pretty sure I'm still having a heart attack about how much it's all going to cost. OMG. Trying to find the opportunity to be grateful! So, we've been without A/C all week and I've been a little 'rough around the edges' shall we say. I do not like to be hot when I'm sleeping!
Since I'm feeling a wee bit crabby, I decided to go with it and make a funny crabby card to share with you! It's one of my days to post a Taylored Expressions project and I adore this Under the Sea stamp set….and this little crabby guy. (Although he doesn't really seem crabby) LOL. I hope this makes you smile and laugh at me!
I used my circle nestabilities to cut out three circles on my white panel. Then I lightly drew the outlines of the circles with a pencil on another piece of paper – to get my images all lined up where I wanted them. I like the first one – upside down. Makes me giggle. I colored them with my Copics in R24, R27 and a bit of R20.
You know that no project is complete unless it has half a roll of foam tape on it! I mounted my 'circle' panel with foam tape to pop it off the page. At the last minute I added some red gems. I resisted the urge to glitter….

No a/c this weekend (until yesterday) would have been awful. It’s been so hot! Today it’s raining here and much cooler–hope it’s cooled off down there as well. We replaced our HVAC in 2007 and have noticed lower energy bills (but the initial price was shocking). I’ll update you on the deck bids in another email 🙁
I’m pro foam tape myself, so I can relate to the need to pop up something, or multiple somethings. Sorry to hear about the AC unit. Ours broke two years in a row, luckily both in May before the really brutal month of July. The first year was a fix and the second year was a replace. And both show why I rent–so it is someone else’s headache. The replacement was a doozy for cost because of how our quadplex is situated they couldn’t a truck/cherry picker up to it. I heard it was a real pain but I hid inside with the cat, who slept in a plastic bucket because apparently it wasn’t warm enough for her.

So sorry to hear about your AC, Wanda! Would definitely make me a little crabby, too…although we haven’t needed ours yet. Unbelievable how cold it’s been here in NC. So love that you had a bit of fun to make light of your situation. This card is the MOST adorable thing! Love those circle cut outs and LOVE those crabs! The upside down one totally makes me smile, too!

I would have lost my blankity blank if our A/C was broken for a WEEK!!! I’d die. Like dead die. All the way dead. LOL! So glad you have a new one! After you’ve recovered from your heart attack due to the cost, enjoy the nice temps and no more sweaty sleep!
