Hi Friends! Happy March! Today is challenge day at A Blog Named Hero! Yeah Baby! This one is really fun. Can't wait to see what all the other gals made….and cannot wait to see what you make! The challenge for this time around is making embellishments with stamps. I do this a lot, so this was right up my alley. You can take anything and make it into a dimensional piece for your card or project. I hope you will check out the ABNH Blog and get inspired to put your own entry into the mix! You could win a gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!
For my challenge card I made flower embellishments using the gorgeous Basic Grey/Hero Arts stamp set called Luscious Bold Flowers! (My link list is at the bottom of my post). I had so much fun stamping and cutting, and distressing…
Here's a side view of my finished flower embellishments. You know I had to add some BLING to it! I hardly ever work with purple, but these flowers reminded me of pretty hibiscus blooms….
This is a Hero Arts sentiment stamp, in brown, to match the backgroung image….
I layered a couple of the flowers together for this one. Did you notice that the leaves are flower petals stamped in green?? You can do this with a lot of flower stamps….and it all matches!
The process is always kind of messy….
I really hope you've enjoyed my card….and I REALLY hope you will join us for the fun! Remember, you could win a Simon Says Stamp Gift Certificate for $25 shopping dollars! WOOOT!

love the purple. such a beautiful card.
Gorgeous, Wanda! I was wondering what that great chunky stuff is that you put in the middle of your largest flower. Glass glitter? 🙂
GORGEOUS!!!!
Hi Wanda, As always love your card! I was also wondering what is the center of the large flower just above the sentiment? I haven’t seen chalk ink demonstrated before. Love how it has the somewhat faded appearance, will have to add it to my wish list at SSS. Hope you have a great weekend!
Gorgeous ..great idea with the leave!!
Such impact! I love the purple!
BTW I just did a google search for TE quatrefoil die cut and under a link with images are LOTS of cards by the talented Wanda!
What a beautifully balanced layout with such gorgeous layered flowers! The ledger background is fabulous, too!
Man, oh man! This is absolutely GORGEOUS, Wanda!
I can’t even believe those amazing purples on those flowers, oh so pretty!
