  • The Greetery – These are the Days Collection – Day One!

Hello, my creative, talented and crafty friends! It's going to be a great day today, because I'm here to tell you about a NEW RELEASE from The Greetery! The new release is called These are the Days! It's calendar/planner themed – which is so perfect and fun. Are you a planner girlie? I am! And Betsy has created a suite of products for us the use to make our own calendars and also calendar themed cards and planners. I love this idea so much and I know you will too. One of the best parts of the new release is a collection of florals called Birth Month Blooms. There are flowers for every month of the year and corresponding words that make gorgeous botanical projects! SO much good stuff.

This month only has one release day – today – and the entire team will be sharing our projects and the new products on our blogs. TOMORROW is release day and the release will be available for shopping at 10am – July 30th!

SHOP THE NEW RELEASE TUESDAY JULY 30TH AT 10AM EST!

I will be sharing three projects today – two cards, and a calendar!! Loads of beautiful inspiration from the entire design team today. My supplies, prize information, and links to everyone's blogs are all at the bottom of this post. Let's get started!

My first card today is a special birthday card – and I used the calendar items to show the recipients birthday! This card features the brand new Calendar Basics stamp set, and the brand new Birth Month Q2 stamps and dies. My finished card is an A2 cream card base, layered with some pretty rose gingham. I wanted a bit of a vintage feel to this card – with the roses and the gold….

the greetery, the greetery stamps and dies, the greetery these are the days, the greetery calendar, calendar diy, make your own calendar, planning, stamps, flowers, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I started by stamping two gorgeous rose clusters using pink and green inks. (THESE ARE MY FAVORITE INK PADS FOR 2/3 STEP STAMPING) I die cut the roses using the matching dies. I stamped the vertical calendar grid in black.

the greetery, the greetery stamps and dies, the greetery these are the days, the greetery calendar, calendar diy, make your own calendar, planning, stamps, flowers, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here's a close up of the beautiful roses stamps! I splattered gold paint on them too!

The roses were affixed to the calendar using foam tape. I heat embossed happy birthday in gold, and circled my friend's birthday date!  This is a GREAT way to mark a special date – birthday, wedding, anniversary, Christmas….by circling it on the grid! Love this!

My next project is a lovely 2025 calendar! Gosh I really really like this concept! There are new Pre-Printed calendars that you can decorate as gifts or for your own desk. I used the 2025 calendar and decorated each page using the new preprinted monthly flowers!!! This is awesome. The Spiral die cut cuts out holes at the top of the calendar and then you use the binding to wind it through the holes to make it able to flip!! Betsy thought of everything. I'm going to show you a few of the pages….

the greetery, the greetery stamps and dies, the greetery these are the days, the greetery calendar, calendar diy, make your own calendar, planning, stamps, flowers, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

For each page, I die cut a kraft rectangle and stamped the name of the flower onto it. I then die cut out the preprinted flowers for each month… My first thought for this project was mass production as friend gifts – so I went with the preprinted florals instead of stamping them – much faster!!

My final project for today is a card made using the brand new Birth Month Q3 stamps and dies, and the new Spiral Bound Die…. The sentiment is from the brand new One Fine Day stamp set.  I used pretty shades of yellow and magenta and a bit of ink blending. My finished card is an A2 white card base….

I stamped and die cut out the Aster florals – soooo pretty! Here is a side view of my card layers. (THESE ARE MY FAVORITE INK PADS FOR 2/3 STEP STAMPING)

I die cut a scalloped rectangle and ink blended just the top part using bright yellow ink… The lovely sentiment is heat embossed with gold and then die cut with the matching die.

  • Better late than never – my 4th of July Cross Stitch! Primrose Cottage 4th of July Rules Pattern!

Hi everyone! Let’s kick off a new week! The world has gone mad and crafting is a good way to escape right now. I’m so grateful I have a hobby (hobbies) that help keep me in the moment and keep my mind occupied. I hope that you are doing well and that you have a happy week this week. Today’s project is a ‘better late than never’ project! I had high hopes to finish and frame this cross stitch piece for the 4th of July this year… But alas, I finished it just this morning at around 1am! Oh well, it will be ready to hang next July! Ha! I really wanted to share it with you today. I do love a patriotic cross stitch.

This pattern is called 4th of July Rules and it’s by Primrose Cottage. FULL SUPPLIES are HERE or at the bottom of my post! I stitched on natural 30 count fabric and used DMC floss in my own chosen colors. I love brighter yellows and reds!! Here is my completed piece! Finished stitching size is approximately 5″ x 20″ so it’s a long narrow piece. I’m not sure if I will put it inside a frame, or maybe make it a wall hanging on a string?? I have time to decide, don’t I?? LOL.

This was a fun stitch – not too hard and not too easy. Just enough colors, but not too many colors…. Lots of my favorite elements – a tiny flag, some bunting, pretty words….and patriotic colors!

Here is a photo of the pattern book! Let me tell you – this book is SO NICE!!! The pattern is broken down into six segments, and each page is one segment and it’s in full color! And the pattern is HUGE so it’s very easy to see and read. I really appreciate this type of format since I have very bad eyesight. It was a dream following this pattern!!

I’m going to stitch up HIVE RULES as my next edition of rules!!! It’s a bee theme – and the colors are swoonworthy!!

I'm sharing two cheerful and bright Halloween cards today that I made with supplies from the Boo Box! Let's get started! First up is some spooky cute ghosties and a bit of sparkle too! The Boo Box has two large stamp sets and one sentiment stamp set, along with lots of standalone dies and a big background stamp. I think my favorite images are these adorable ghosts! I stamped and die cut them out and added pink cheeks with a Copic Marker! I die cut the spooky die from both glitter paper and black paper and stacked them. I stamped some yellow stars in the background….

The Boo Box includes a die set with a great tag and add ons for the tag!! Love that! The little bat is included in the tag dies set…. I tied a bow at the top and attached the bat!

My second card for today features lots of Halloween icons in a grid pattern…. My finished card is an A2 white card base layered with that awesome plaid patterned paper… The Boo Box includes a great grid die set and I die cut out some of the grids and added the classic Halloween icons – cat, bat, witch hat and pumpkin!

That little cat makes me smile! I added the sentiment in the center of my card and placed the grids around the sentiment.  A few splatters of black paint and some glitter stars complete the look!! I added glitter glue accents to all the images too.

  • The Greetery Summer Watercolor Butterfly Card!

Hi there my creative and crafty friends! I'm up on The Greetery Blog today to share a project with you! I am always so excited and happy to share with you over there! And of course, sharing my card here too. Hope you had a great 4th of July! Sacramento has been HOT. Gosh, so hot. We are set to break an all time record for most days over 100 degrees. I think my brain is cooked! I'm laying low and moving slow…. For my project for today I created a watercolor card with a nature theme and an all purpose sentiment. I haven't made a watercolor card in a while and I was inspired by the pretty butterflies of Summertime…. Simple and airy for the season….

My finished card is an A2 size Kraft card base, layered with watercolor paper die cut with the beautiful A2 Scallops Dies. All the die cut pieces on this card were made using watercolor paper. I kept the design clean and simple and let that pretty purple butterfly shine! All the coloring was done with my set of Mini Distress Inks and a water brush… I do love this technique.

I started by die cutting the Fern Dies, the Butterfly Dies, the background panel and the sentiment panel from watercolor paper. I used Distress Inks and water brushes to color all the pieces and set them aside to dry. For the background I used a wet on wet watercolor technique: Put down a good amount of clear water onto the paper, then add the blue ink into the water and let it spread out into a free form shape! I use a large brush for the plain water and lots of water…. You never know what you'll get with this and I love that!!

After all my pieces were dry, I glued together the Fern and the Butterfly using liquid glue. I added a purple enamel dot to the butterfly. I stamped the sentiment in brown Distress Ink and then went over the writing with a detail water brush to make it 'messy.' I assembled all the elements together and I used foam tape to attach the sentiment. I do love the greens against the bright purple butterfly….

That's it for my project for today! I hope you have a fantastic and creative day! I look forward to sharing with you again soon. In the meantime, happy crafting! XO Wanda

  • Happy 4th of July 2024!

Happy 4th of July! Happy Independence Day! Happy Birthday America! Sending love and good wishes for a fun and fabulous holiday today! I hope you have a fun day and get lots of BBQ and fireworks! I am looking forward to the 4th of July in our neighborhood. Everyone is always outside enjoying the warm evening and lighting off cool fireworks displays and the atmosphere is so jovial and happy. I have been making tons of patriotic cards and projects to show you, and today I have one last patriotic card! I used lots and lots of brand new supplies from the amazing new Summer 2024 release from Honey Bee Stamps. What an awesome release – so many good products. I have many more ideas! Check it out here!

This card features the brand new Eagle Dies, The Land of the Free background stamp (LOVE), the new Because of the Brave sentiments, and more… My finished card is an A2 cream card base, layered with blue stripes and then more (lots more) layers and elements! I used a traditional Americana color palette and kept it vintage too…. Everything classically USA. (By the way, are you excited for the Olympics?!) I used it all — patterned paper, glitter cardstock, vellum, wax seal, and distress ink! Oh and don't forget the gold splatters!

honey bee stamps, honey bee stamps and dies, honey bee americana, wax melts, wax stamper, because of the brave stamps, land of the free stamps, eagle dies, americana crafts, usa, 4th of july crafts, 4th of july card ideas, usa projects, diy, crafts, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here's a side view of all the layers and elements on my card. For the sentiment I die cut out the large letters from gold cardstock and then layered the vellum sentiment over the top.

honey bee stamps, honey bee stamps and dies, honey bee americana, wax melts, wax stamper, because of the brave stamps, land of the free stamps, eagle dies, americana crafts, usa, 4th of july crafts, 4th of july card ideas, usa projects, diy, crafts, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I double layered the letters USA with gold and dark brown cardstocks. I stamped the sentiment onto the vellum using Stazon black ink using my MISTI.

The star of the show are these new Eagle Dies!!! WOW. The layers are easy to understand and easy to put together – and it really looks like an eagle!! I added gold paint to the tips of his wings for some extra pizazz!! Isn't he marvelous?? In this photo you can also see that I used a background die on the circle just behind the eagle. I thought it looked really vintage….

This new background stamp is great! I stamped it in gold/yellow ink and then used distress inks around the edges. I crumpled the stamped panel into a ball in my hands and then unfolded it flat and this way it looks like old paper/cloth. I splattered gold paint on that panel also.

Hands down, Honey Bee has the best wax seals and melts! This new 3D star is perfection. I made my seal in blue wax to fit the color theme. It is affixed using foam squares.

And lastly, here's a patriotic photo of me out in our front yard last week! We were getting ready to go somewhere so I took a quick photo to update my Facebook profile pic! Yes – I am very patriotic! 🙂

    1

That's it for today! And I think that's it for the 4th of July projects! I have some patriotic stitching but I didn't finish them all! Boo! Seems there is never enough time for stitching! And my eyes get tired after a while – so I am very slow. I need to be better about starting earlier with that. As usual, never enough time! Happy 4th of July everyone! XOXO

  • 4th of July Patriotic Pinwheel Wreath Project!

Happy Monday! Happy July! It's going to be a good week! There's a fun holiday involved! Yeah! I am very into Americana themed items – crafts, home decor, clothes, cards, stitching…. Well, you get the idea! Our home is very decorated for the 4th of July with lots of flags and good things. I am wishing you a good week and a fun holiday with family and friends! I recently made it a goal to read more….Summer is a great time for lazy afternoons reading!! I have been an avid reader since I was very small and lately life just got busy and I stopped reading and I miss it!! Anyone else have a giant stack of books waiting on the nightstand?? I recently updated my Amazon Summer 2024 reading list if you want to check it out!!

My project for today is a home decor piece made from paper!! And card making supplies!

My project is a Paper Pinwheel Wreath! Made from patriotic papers and 4th of July theme. It's made from lots and lots of pinwheels hot glued onto a wreath form. It was a very fun project and it came together quickly and easily. This would be a really good group project because it's the same thing made over and over again and it's easy to finish in an afternoon. Here is my wreath and where it's hanging in our home – on the cabinets between the kitchen and our nook. All my supplies are at the bottom of my post or CLICK HERE!

I used the AMAZING 3D Pinwheel Dies to make this project. I made about 30 large and small pinwheels but it only ended up taking about 14 pinwheels to finish my wreath. I actually thought it would take a lot more!! I die cut all my pinwheels first – sooooo easy.

On my desk…. I used a wreath form (in the supplies) and acrylic paint. I painted the wreath form blue (I forgot to take a photo of that part!) and then I used hot glue to attach all the pinwheels to the wreath form. (I only burned myself once! Ha) I glued them right under the part with the brad.

You, again, could make this project with any theme! I am definitely going to make a Halloween one. I have so many cute Halloween papers! As I continue to try to use my stash!!

  • Fabric Garlands! A quick and easy home decor project!

Hellooooooo sweet friends! I have a fun craft project today – and it doesn't have any paper involved! Yes, you heard me right! It's a fabric project! So super fun, quick, easy, and awesome. I have had the supplies to make this (these) for a couple of years. Oh my. Well, I went to a craft retreat a couple months back and I finally made my fabric strip garlands! You know how you have things in your craft room for a long time and keep thinking "I need to make that"? Well, I did! Hee hee. And now I want to make more! Let's get started before I keep yammering on more.

I initially made this red, white and blue fabric strip garland to hang in our kitchen for the 4th of July! This garland is also the perfect size to go across the fireplace mantle or our entertainment center!  I bought two packs of fat quarters (blue pack and red pack) at Hobby Lobby, and I also got the rope at Hobby Lobby. That's all you need to get this result….

fabric garland, fabric strip garland, moda jelly roll, fabric ideas, home decor garland, make your own fabric garland, diy, gingham, 4th of july, halloween, shabby chic, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I hung the finished garland over our kitchen curtains! It looks so cute! It adds the right amount of homey feeling!

Supplies! That's it! I roughly cut the fat quarters into two inch strips. At first I used my ruler, but then I ended up just eye balling the strips and it went very fast cutting them all up. Again – EASY!! Each strip is about 20 inches long to start.

fabric garland, fabric strip garland, moda jelly roll, fabric ideas, home decor garland, make your own fabric garland, diy, gingham, 4th of july, halloween, shabby chic, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I laid the rope out on my desk (I cut it about 8 feet long to have lots of room and then trimmed it later). I just started knotting the fabric strips over the rope making sure to keep the colors and patterns varied. I love this combination of gingham, strips, chambray…. It's very pretty!!

fabric garland, fabric strip garland, moda jelly roll, fabric ideas, home decor garland, make your own fabric garland, diy, gingham, 4th of july, halloween, shabby chic, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

You just fluff it up and straighten it out when you hang it! I think start to finish this took me about two hours to make!!

fabric garland, fabric strip garland, moda jelly roll, fabric ideas, home decor garland, make your own fabric garland, diy, gingham, 4th of july, halloween, shabby chic, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here are two other garlands I made using the same fun technique. For these next two I used Moda Fabric Jelly Rolls for the fabric. And I think this will be my preferred method for any other ones I made. Moda makes the most gorgeous fabrics! And, the Jelly Rolls come with the fabric already in strips (with a pretty zig zag edge too)! For the Jelly Rolls, I unrolled all of the strips and then cut them in the middle, so each big strip became two small strips. Really the perfect amount for a garland.

This one is all season, shabby chic! In all my favorite colors!! I added in some crochet trim and some velvet ribbon too. This one I think will hang in my craft room! I LOVE it.

Here's a close up of the knots. Wrap the strip around the rope, and pull the ends through (kind of like you would tie a string on the top of a tag).

And the last one I made is retro Halloween! Kitty cats and candy corns and polka dots. LOVE! This one was made with another Moda Jelly Roll fabric pack. The colors are lovely!

Okee dokee! That's it for today! I hope I've inspired you to try a new crafting project! This was literally so easy. I think it would be really cute to make one for a baby's room or for a special color themed party. Also, I already have the fabric for a holiday one. Can't stop, won't stop. LOLZ. Have a blessed and beautiful day my friends. See you soon! XOXO

  • Hey Lady! Cute Ladybug Card Kit available now!

Hey Lady!! Hello my little ladybugs! I'm flying by with a quick post today to let you know that there's an adorable new Card Kit from Taylored Expressions today! It's available now and I love love love it! I made this sweet card using items from the kit. There are stencils and stamps and matching dies…and more! I think you'll like it too. You can shop it here!

My finished card is an A2 white card base layered with gingham and then one of the printed sentiment panels. I used the stencils, stamps and dies to cut out all the ladybugs and affixed them to my card using foam squares. I added a little swirly path for the one ladybug…. And some glittery pink gems! All my supplies are listed at the bottom of my post or HERE.

When I stenciled the ladybugs I used two ink shades for an ombre look. I also used dark pink instead of red for some hip ladybugs. Ha! I used matching pink gingham paper and it's all so dang cheerful!

  • Summer cards with Catherine Pooler – Let’s Hit The Beach!

Hey hey hey friends! Are you ready to hit the beach today? It's full on Summer now! I'm inside the craft room with the fans on and it's 105 degrees today. Nope, not going anywhere. LOL. All the lights out and lots of water! Hope you are having an awesome weekend. I have so many fun Summer crafts to share with ya lately – so excited! Today's post features the awesome and fabulous Resort Release from Catherine Pooler and Sizzix. I loved it the second I saw this release and wanted to create with it! Think beach umbrellas and towels, cute swimmers, a stenciled pool deck, and adorable sentiments. It screams "Let's Hit The Beach!" I am sharing three cards all made with the Resort Bundle…. Let's gooooo!

My first two cards feature a retro 50's/60's color palette or aqua and lime and yellow…. I do love a retro vibe. For this first card I used those perfect beach umbrellas to make a clean and simple card. My finished card is an A2 white card base. I layered soft aqua and then my top panel….

The sentiment is perfect! Each beach umbrella was made with two step stamping in my MISTI and then I added a matching pearl to each one. You can see my subtle shadow line on the umbrellas. I did this using a C2 Copic Marker. It's, again, subtle, but I do think it makes a difference!

Each umbrella was attached to the card using foam squares. I inked just the top of the panel to mimic the warm golden sunshine. I do really love these colors together!!

The stamps align to perfection!!! I stamped the outline in black first and then my colors inside second.

Next up are these adorable synchronized swimmers ready to jump in! This finished card is an A2 white card base. I used the pool deck stencils to make the background and then feature the swimmers and another great sentiment.

catherine pooler, catherine pooler and sizzix, resort bundle, summer cards, swimming cards, beach umbrellas, handmade cards, synchronized swimmers, vacay mode, die cuts, stencils, stamps and dies, sizzix stamps and dies, make summer cards, invitations, retro, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

For the background – instead of using all four of the stencils in the pack, I only used two of them – the ones with triangles and squares. This made my design a little less busy and left some white space. I do like the result. I added some waves across the bottom of my card for them to jump in/out of!!

The swimmers have these one piece suits, and also a bikini option. The possibilities are endless!! I love their tiny swim caps. I added a few shadows using Copic markers on their swimsuits.

For my final card, I went with a nautical color palette of red, white and bright blue! I created a shoreline with festive umbrellas and a towel… My finished card is an A2 card base in white, layered with blue and also some kraft.

catherine pooler, catherine pooler and sizzix, resort bundle, summer cards, swimming cards, beach umbrellas, handmade cards, synchronized swimmers, vacay mode, die cuts, stencils, stamps and dies, sizzix stamps and dies, make summer cards, invitations, retro, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I hand tore the kraft cardstock in an irregular way to look like sand. Then I put some white paint along the edge and splatters to look like the waves. I stamped the sentiment sideways and it's nice and big. I used all red/white umbrellas for a French Riviera vibe.

catherine pooler, catherine pooler and sizzix, resort bundle, summer cards, swimming cards, beach umbrellas, handmade cards, synchronized swimmers, vacay mode, die cuts, stencils, stamps and dies, sizzix stamps and dies, make summer cards, invitations, retro, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

This entire release is literally so HAPPY and fun! I could see making some pool party invitations or birthday cards for summer parties. Any color would look good and there's a sentiment for every occasion. I hope you'll check it out!!

That's it for today's Summer cards! I'll be back soon with more more more! I hope you are finding time to get your craft on lately! I'm still working on some 4th of July stitching. I'm starting to accept the fact that I may not finish….but I'll keep working on it!! XOXOXO

  • Happy First Day of Summer – May Your Day Be Sunkissed!

Hi everyone! It's almost Friday! And it's the official first day of Summer 2024! I am excited for Summer for a few reasons….mostly the Olympics! And also, because when Summer is over – it's FALL! Lolz. I've been working on some patriotic stitching and other 4th of July projects to share.  It's been hot here in Sacramento and we're due to get 100's again starting this weekend. I could do with a little road trip to the beach! Well, my card is the perfect beach card! There is an AMAZING new release from Honey Bee Stamps and I have been making projects with it. Today's card is perfect for this first day of the new season! All the new dies are so great – and I do love paper piecing a good die cut card together. This card was super fun to make – colorful, happy and beach themed! SHOP the new release here! I'll be sharing another card made with the gorgeous new Americana themed items soon. Yay!

My finished card is an A2 white card base. Layered with sky blue stripes and then my beach scene…. I used Summer colors of aqua, lime, hot pink and yellow…. My uncle, and then my mom both had VW vans and they are so cute and fun. Really brings to mind certain memories doesn't it?

honey bee stamps and dies, honey bee sunkissed summer, summer release, summer card ideas, van dies, palm tree dies, summer scene, beach, ocean, honey bee stamps hammock dies, honey bee shoreline scene, honey bee at the beach, honey bee sunkissed summer honey cuts, handmade cards, new dies, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

When I'm making cards like this – with lots of pieces and bits – I usually die cut out everything first and put the pieced in little stacks. Then I sit down and ink the pieces if needed and assemble them. Once all the elements are assembled I will play with them until I get the right scene look I want. I really wanted both the palm trees and the umbrella in there, so it took some time to get it just right. Tip: Once everything is the way I want, I'll take a quick iPhone photo for reference in gluing it all down.

I used this pretty new sentiment set – I adore this font! I stamped it in aqua ink to match my van and then die cut it out with the matching dies. I created a 'beach' by freehand cutting a kraft strip to go across the bottom of my oval. I added a little white beach fence too!! All my supplies are listed at the bottom of my post.

I used two different shades of green for my palm trees, and added some pearl coconuts!! I die cut a yellow surfboard and inked it with yellow and orange distress inks for a sunset look! The windows in the van are vellum and I added white gel pen accents to them. The headlights are grey pearls…

I just had to add a couple of seagulls flying by. I added gems to the pieces and a little bit of Stickles Diamond glitter glue too. If you zoom in on this card, you can smell the ocean! (I wish) LOL!

  • The Greetery – Garden Party Collection – Day One! Let’s Have Tea!

Hello, my creative, talented and crafty friends! It's a gooooood day today! It's time for a fun, happy, awesome, pretty, and amazing new release from The Greetery! The new release is just in time for Summer and it's VERY pretty!! The release is called Garden Party! Think tea parties, flowers, lemonade, pretty backgrounds, and more! You're gonna love it. It's fresh and bright and you know me, I used LOTS of color!! The design team will be sharing products and projects today and tomorrow and then the new release will be available for shopping on Friday, June 14th at 10am EST! Just two more days to wait. I had a really fun time with this release – it's right up my alley! I'm excited to share it with you.

SHOP THE NEW RELEASE FRIDAY, JUNE 14TH, AT 10AM EST!

I will be sharing three cards today, and four more cards tomorrow. The cards for today all have a tea party theme – tea pots, and tea cups and pretty fine china too! Great for birthdays and invitations and encouragement cards. My cards have lots of gingham, well, because it's me! Loads of beautiful inspiration from the entire design team for the next two days. My supplies, prize information, and links to everyone's blogs are all at the bottom of this post. Let's get started!

My first card today features the brand new Pours Tea Dies, and the brand new Brew-tea-ful Stamps and Dies! The sentiments are SO cute! I also used some of my favorite Greetery supplies with the new items. The center of my tea pot features the gorgeous Botanicuts Strawberries dies…. Shades of pink and red – so feminine!! My finished card is an A2 white card base, layered with gingham and then accented with white and kraft.

Here's a close up of all my layers and elements. I used the Cozy Coaster to make a little tablecloth for my tea pot…. I die cut out all the pieces and inked the edges of everything using Distress Inks and blending brushes. I used a bit of gold just on the lid of the pot. These dies have scrumptious pierced dot details. Love it so much.

The sentiments have matching dies – looks so professional and polished!! I added a few little hearts for good measure….

Those pretty little strawberries were attached to the tea pot with foam squares.

My second card features LOTS of new products! The new items are the Sips Tea Dies and Stencils, the Brew-tea-ful Stamps and Dies, and the Flourished Frame Die!! Everything works together so nicely. This card was Bridgerton inspired!! Pretty pastels and touches of gold!! My finished card is a cream A2 card base layered with the new frame (in gold) and then the focus elements of the tea cup and floral spray.

This gorgeous flower spray can fit into either the tea cup or the tea pot – genius! It's multi step stamping and it comes out like a dream. The tea cup has matching stencils so I stenciled a darker shade of aqua. I used a gold leafing pen to add gold accents onto the cup.

I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of vellum using Stazon in and wrapped it around the card. In the background, I stamped words and added paint splatters. Just look at that tiny tea bag tag!!!! SO sweet.

My third card today features the brand new Fine China stamps, dies and hot foil plates! Reeeeeallly elegant and classy and so very pretty! Gorgeous layers of dies and hot foil and then petite floral elements. I used shades of blues with gold for my finished plate. My finished card is a white A2 card base layered with blue cardstock, vellum and then a Greetery Arch. The star of the show is the fine china for sure.

This close up shows all my paper layers….so scrumptious! I ink blended just the top portion of my arch to ground the white of the plate. The foiling comes out PERFECTLY. I used a gold pen to add small accents to the blue floral spray.

  • Anna Griffin Wildflower Meadow Card Kit!

Hi everybody! How are you? Have you been crafty this weekend? What are you up to? I am up to staying cool! Oh yeah it's hot hot hot here! I'll be inside with my iced coffee, thank you very much! LOL. I have a set of cards to share today and there are six total – I seem to be making multiples lately!! You guys know that I looooooove Anna Griffin supplies and especially the AG card kits. My cards today were made with the new Anna Griffin Wildflower Meadow Card Kit! The kit makes 12 cards total (with items left over) and I made half of them the other day. I will save the rest for a different crafting session. I adore these kits because you can sit down and just craft – you don't have to come up with all the ideas. You can just mix and match the elements in a way you like. I always add my own special details on the kit cards: paint splatters (gold or white), pearls and gems, and Stickles too. I do love to add a bit of sparkle.

I buy my Anna Griffin supplies directly from her website, or from HSN and now from Scrapbook.com! I have a nice little collection going now, but I've been a fan since day one of her scrapbooking journey!!

CLICK HERE to see some other Anna Griffin card kits!!

I won't go into great detail on each card – the were all made with elements from the card kit. The kit comes with envelopes too and all occasion sentiments. Now I have a very nice stash of cards made!! Everything is 3d and accented with gold foil. So pretty. Every card is A7 (5"x7") size. I am smitten with the color palette of this kit – super feminine and pastel. Kind of makes me think of Marie Antoinette for some reason!!

  • Fun Honeycomb Birthday Tags and Gift Ideas with The Greetery!

Hi everyone! How are you my creative and crafty friends?! It's my turn up on The Greetery Blog today to share a project with you! And of course I'm sharing my project with you here too!  Yay!  I am always so excited and happy to share with you. Hope you're doing great! Happy Friday! Good wishes for a great weekend! Hope you get in some crafting time! I just started two new cross stitch projects! LOL. Seems I am the queen of starting projects, but not the queen of finishing projects!

I am smitten with the new honeycomb items from The Greetery, so today I decided to make some more projects using them! Just so cheerful and happy!! I created two festive and fun gift tags using lots of my favorite Greetery supplies! I have a few special birthdays coming up and I always love to make something handmade….  I created two gift tags – one is a gift box decoration and the other one I haven't decided yet – maybe a tie on to a bottle of champagne, or as a gift bag tie on! I used pretty shades of pink and mint with gold accents for my party today!

    This just makes me happy!!

I started by die cutting two of the big tags using the Tag Team Duo dies – they are the perfect size tag! I used the Tag Team Duo matching stencils to stencil pink polka dots on one tag and mint green stripes on the other tag. For stenciling I used Distress Inks and blender brushes. The perfect party backgrounds!

Next I die cut all the pieces to make a Hey Honeycomb Balloon and a Hey Honeycomb Ice Cream Cone. I used cardstock shades to match those cute Party Honeycomb Balls. I added bits of ink shading and also Stickles Diamond glitter glue. I affixed the honeycomb balls to the die cut pieces using liquid glue.

For the accents I splattered on some white paint and created gold streamers for both tags. I added a pretty ribbon from my stash and little scattered gems and pearls. For the sentiments I used the Tear Strip Banners Dies along with the Tear Strip Banners Birthday stamps. These were perfect across the bottom of my tags.

For the gift, I wrapped it in Kraft wrapping paper first. I added a star border using the Star Strip Die and made it from matching cardstock to the balloon. Just a little extra touch. This is such a fun way to embellish a gift! These tags would also be nice for a graduation party gift, or any other celebration!

  • Happy Monday – Fun cards with….Denim Jackets!!

Hey hey hey hey friends! Hope you're doing great today! I have a super fun blog post to share with you today! FIVE cards and LOTS of pictures! So grab some coffee! I had so much fun making these cards and can't wait to share them all with you! Wishing you a great week ahead. Summer is OFFICIALLY here in Sacramento and we are going to have three days over 100 degrees this week. Whew. Yikes. (Just in case you ever wondered why I love Autumn so much!) The hubs and I celebrate 31 years together tomorrow (not our wedding anniversary but our 'together' anniversary). I'm not sure how that happened, since I am clearly so young. Ha!! We are going out for a nice dinner at The Melting Pot! We haven't been there in many years and I'm really looking forward to it very much. A little fondue, a little champagne. Yeah! Okay, that's probably enough chit chat, let's talk about projects!

Concord and 9th is one of my most favorite companies! I love everything they do! A few months ago, they released the Carpe Denim dies and stamps, and lemme tell ya, I about lost my dang mind! SOOOOO cute and SOOOOO fun! Right up my alley for sure. I bought the dies right away. Time got away from me, and they have been sitting on my desk… While the dies were sitting on my desk I kept thinking of more and more ideas! When I sat down to create, FIVE cards came out! Honestly, I could have made tons more, I had so many ideas. I just ran out of time. I am a jean jacket girl for sure. I have been a jean jacket girl since about 7th grade (the 1900's) and in my closet currently I have 16 different ones! One has stars, one has bling, one has embroidery, one has patches, some are dressy and dark, some are distressed, some are slouchy, and all are loved! I do love a jean jacket! How about you – are you a jean jacket girlie too??

All five cards are A2 white card bases and I kept the layouts clean and simple and graphic. I used the Carpe Denim dies on all the cards. Each card is generally the same clean layout. I used my new favorite gingham papers (Supplies are at the bottom of this post) and all the gorgeous cardstocks are from Concord and 9th. For the denim jackets I used papers I bought at Hobby Lobby. I had this project in mind and I went to the paper racks at Hobby Lobby, and just looked for blue/denim like papers that I thought would work. I ended up with three different types of denim and I like all of them for different reasons.

First up is my crafty girl denim jacket!! This card uses crafty sentiments and dies, paint brushes, stamps and scissors too. I would absolutely wear this jacket with a giant stamp on the back! Ha. I used DB scrapbooking letters to spell out crafty on the back. I used a fun sentiment, hearts, and bits of glitter to make it 'extra'! I loved using tiny silver and gold pearls on all the cards to look like clothing hardware. The creative possibilities are endless really. I had so much fun.

concord and 9th, concord and 9th stamps and dies, concord and 9th cards, concord and 9th carpe denim, concord and 9th love you more, celebration squad, playful pumpkins, jean jackets, denim jackets, fun cards, handmade, stamps and dies, card ideas, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Next up is my 80's inspired denim jacket! Brought back memories of the skating rink and my neon phase! Hee hee. I made cardstock stripes for this one to make it super colorful and fun. All those cute decorations and patches come with the Carpe Denim set. I splattered this jacket to make it look acid washed (I'm totally dating myself here). A vellum circle grounds the card. The sentiment is perfect!!

concord and 9th, concord and 9th stamps and dies, concord and 9th cards, concord and 9th carpe denim, concord and 9th love you more, celebration squad, playful pumpkins, jean jackets, denim jackets, fun cards, handmade, stamps and dies, card ideas, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Besides crafting and coffee, one thing you know I love is pizza!! So I made a pizza jean jacket! I used red gingham here of course. I used the super dark denim paper for this one. I gold embossed the pizza word on the back. The sentiment and the pizza are from the Love you more than sets!! A heart background and red heart accents to match the pizza. You gotta pizza my heart right here….

concord and 9th, concord and 9th stamps and dies, concord and 9th cards, concord and 9th carpe denim, concord and 9th love you more, celebration squad, playful pumpkins, jean jackets, denim jackets, fun cards, handmade, stamps and dies, card ideas, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

So this one is just plain silly and fun! I used the Celebration Squad dies to make a girl! I know that it's not the exact right scale, but I couldn't resist!! I gave here a boho chic jacket with big hearts on the back and a matching bow in her hair! A fun girlfriend card for sure. I used the pretty C9 gingham paper and the vines background to keep it feminine and pretty.

concord and 9th, concord and 9th stamps and dies, concord and 9th cards, concord and 9th carpe denim, concord and 9th love you more, celebration squad, playful pumpkins, jean jackets, denim jackets, fun cards, handmade, stamps and dies, card ideas, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

And lastly, I had to make an Autumn themed jean jacket! Of course! I used orange gingham and kraft paper for a warmer feeling to this card. I also used those uber cute elbow patches on the jacket. I used the Playful Pumpkins stamps and dies to make the pretty pumpkin and the sentiment. I added leaves in warm fall tones and that gorgeous background die. Makes me want to go to the pumpkin patch right now! Wanna come?!

concord and 9th, concord and 9th stamps and dies, concord and 9th cards, concord and 9th carpe denim, concord and 9th love you more, celebration squad, playful pumpkins, jean jackets, denim jackets, fun cards, handmade, stamps and dies, card ideas, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Okay, that's all five cards. The next set of photos are some close ups of all the little details. Because you know I love all the little details…. All the supplies are listed out at the bottom of this post! I would love to also see YOUR ideas!!

We stayed home the entire weekend…. We have so much to do around here and I have lots of projects to get made and photographed. We've had lovely weather and we're now ready for the season to change. I hope you are doing great!

Today's card is finally an idea from my head getting made! Yeah for that! Have you seen the GORGEOUS washi tapes from Pinkfresh Studio? I've made lots of cards with them before here on my blog. They are so amazing and lovely to work with. Everything from PFS is simply the highest quality!! I got the Butterflies Washi suite a few weeks ago and been dying to use it!! So, my card features those pretty butterflies…. Let's get to it!

My finished card is an A2 size white card base….layered with some mossy green paper from my stash, and then another layer of white cardstock. The butterflies are the star of the show here….

If you've never used the PFS washi tapes – they are so cool and easy! It's a giant roll of washi printed with the gorgeous design (butterflies)…. You roll the washi onto cardstock of any color (I used bright white) and then press it down really good. The matching dies cut out ALLLLL the design at ONE time! So, with one pass, I got like 15 butterflies, and the leaves too.

I stamped and die cut two of the Floral Envelopes dies for my butterflies to come flying out of. I affixed the envelopes to the card with foam tape. Then I arranged all the leaves and butterflies in rainbow order. I tucked some of them inside the envelope. Wouldn't you just love to open a card and have butterflies come flying out?!

Here's my side view. You can see that the washi tape elements are accented with beautiful gold….and the colors are vivid and clear.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder. I stamped on vellum – and then die cut the banner with the matching dies. (All my supplies are listed at the bottom of my post)

  • The Greetery – Award Winning Love Card!

Hi everyone! How are you my creative and crafty friends?! It's my turn up on The Greetery Blog today to share a project with you! And of course I'm sharing my project with you here too!  Yay!  I am always so excited and happy to share with you. Hope you're doing great! I am still so in love with the new Greetery release and I decided to make another project featuring some of the new items. I was inspired by the awesome Award Winning dies and really wanted to make a more vintage/masculine project using them. It's always fun to see how using a different color palette or style can change the look of our favorite stamps and dies… Happy Friday and Happy Weekend! Let's get started!

My finished card is an A2 cream card base. I covered it in diamond harlequin paper and then layered the Postage Die in cream. The star of the card is the Award Winning Dies! I used the XOXO from the Just My Type Dies to make the center of the award stand out. This patterned paper is from a (very) old paper pad in my stash. Feel free to see this as a message to use all your hoarded stash! LOL! This card has a really vintagey masculine vibe – totally different than my other card using these dies. Love it!

I started this card by die cutting all the pieces of the award using patterned papers and cardstocks. I generously inked up all the pieces with Antique Linen Distress Ink to make it all look aged and vintage. In between the bottom two layers of the award, I created a rosette layer by folding strips of paper in an accordion fashion. Then I glued all the layers together to make my award. In this photo you can see all the layers and pieces!

I die cut the XOXO using silver and black cardstocks and attached it to the award using foam dots. I added a mirrored heart Tim Holtz charm also. Finally I added a couple silver streamers die cut from the Honeycomb Balloons die set. I like the little pops of metallic in with all those rich colors….

I used my fingers to gently turn up the bottoms of the ribbons….More dimension!

It is always nice to have some masculine cards on hand for the guys in our lives! My husband loves the vintage look, so he will most likely be the recipient of this card for our anniversary this year.  That's it for my project for today! I hope you have a fantastic and creative day! I look forward to sharing with you again soon. In the meantime, happy crafting! XOXO

  • Pretty Pink Posh – May 2024 New Release – Congrats Champagne Shaker Card!

Hello lovelies!! Happy almost Friday! Hope you had a great week! We've had sunny weather and I feel like Summer is in the air finally. The new release from Pretty Pink Posh continues this week with an Instagram Hop and I wanted to share my card with you here. If you're on Instagram, make sure to stop by my post and leave a comment for a chance to win a PPP gift certificate! Woot! The new release is full of everything perfect for early Summer celebrations… I shared my other PPP new release project last week – so please check out my patriotic cupcake card too!

My card for the Instagram Hop features the brand new Champagne Flute shaker dies and the brand new Bows dies (LOVE)…along with the new celebration shaker beads. I decided to make a classy wedding card and used silver, white and Tiffany Blue as my color palette. I love how this card came out. One of my friends' sons is getting married and I'm going to give her this card to use!! My finished card is an A2 white card base, layered with blue, white and vellum… The shaker champagne flutes are the star of the show!! Cheers!!

Here's a side view so you can see all my layers and pieces. Those new bows are *chef's kiss* for sure! Those dies are going to get used a lot!! The shakers were made separately and then glued onto the card. I used lots of layers and vellum for that wedding look.

I used silver cardstock for the flutes and then used white glitter cardstock for the inside of the flutes. I mixed together some clear diamond gems with the new silver/gold/white beads. It looks sooooo pretty in person!! I used foam sheets and acetate along with my precision glue to make the shakers. They just always come out perfectly with PPP dies.
