  • The Greetery Destination Summer Collection – Day 1! Fresh Market Florals and Farmer’s Market Peaches!

Heeeeeey there my sweet peaches! It's that super fun time again – time for a new release from The Greetery! As always, I am completely blown away by the new stamps, dies and stencils and I can't wait to share projects with you!! The design team will share projects today and tomorrow, and then the new release will be available for purchase at The Greetery Store Friday 7/17 at 10am EST. The new release is called Destination Summer! We've got peaches and florals and fun travel themed products to inspire your creativity! I have a LOT of pictures today, so get a cuppa and sit down and enjoy some time with me. The list of all the designers is at the bottom of my post. Hope you are doing well and staying happy and healthy. Let's get started!

First up I'm featuring the Peach Suite of products: Print Shop Peachy Keen stamp + stencil combo, Just Peachy Sentiments stamps and dies, and the Create-a-Crate die!! It's literally so fresh and sweet!! Another amazing stencil set that has matching coordinating dies. I'm obsessed with this concept…. I made a peach card and a little crate full of peach candies. I would actually plan an entire party around this! LOL. So much fun to create.

The finished card is an A2 card base from cream cardstock. (Tip – for a more vintage feeling project, use cream instead of white cardstock) The first thing that came to my mind when I saw these products was vintagey Farmer's Market!! So that's the inspiration for my card and treat crate. I used the new Concord & 9th inks and papers and it all worked beautifully together. The background peach panel is the stencils + stamps!!! OMG. Can you even stand it? I cannot.

And here's the front of my crate!! I decorated it and had lots of fun adding inks, splatters and some stickers.

I stenciled the background onto cream cardstock (blender brushes and C9 inkssupplies listed below). Then I stamped and die cut another peach and some leaves. I die cut the 'peach' word using cardstock and vellum. Now, I have to talk about my paper hoarding… Which actually worked in my favor this time. In my head I KNEW that these gorgeous stickers and papers from Prima would be PERFECT for this project!! I cut out some graphics and used some stickers both on my card and my crate – too look like vintage fruit crates!! I love how this all came together.

I die cut some rectangles to act as my focal piece. I stamped the "you're a" at the top of the cream panel. Then I splattered everything with Distress ink. I also edged everything with a dauber and Distress Ink. I tucked the leaves in between the layers and on top of the peach.

Okay, now let's talk about that Create a Crate die!!! OH MY WORD. So clever and creative!! Just like the cake plate die from the last release, this is super easy to assemble. Die cut two ends and then four of the planks that go across. Easy! I used woodgrain cardstock for mine and then dusted off my little bin of brads from 1997! LOL. (Glad again that I'm a craft hoarder)… I splattered brown and white ink to 'age' the crate. Then I decorated it with stickers and cardstock.

The front of the crate is pictured above with the card. This is the back of the crate!!

    The Greetery Create a crate

I used a cello bag from my party stash and some twine and ribbon… OH and that teeny tiny peach on a teeny tiny tag!!! So sweet. I put the peaches candies inside the bag and tied it with the ribbon and twine. I put in enough candy to fill that crate!! I used candy, but you could tuck in cookies, small note cards or small gifts. LOVE…..

I added a few clear drops to the card to look shiny and pretty!! The layers and the peach were attached with foam dots for dimension…

Next up I have two pretty floral cards to share using the brand new Budding Beauties Summer stamps and dies…. Also featuring: Sprinkled with Kindness stamps + die and Petite Eucalyptus stamp + cut combo!! No one does florals like our friend Betsy!! This is a slimline card because I needed some height for that pretty mason jar and all the blooms to fit… The finished card size is 3.5" x 6.5" and is white cardstock. I cut one smaller layer and inked it with Distress ink for a pretty blue background. (the sentiment is in a stamp set we're showing tomorrow!)

I stamped and die cut the daisies and the eucalyptus blooms. I also added accents with a very sharp colored pencil. It just adds a little depth to the flowers.

This pretty mason jar is one of my favorite products from The Greetery!! I used my MISTI to line it up perfectly!!

And….card three for today!!! I used the gorgeous hydrangeas stamps and the beautiful new Watering Can stamps and dies for this one! It's a finished A2 card base. Combined with pretty purple and gingham…. sigh…. The sentiment is gold embossed on vellum and then wrapped around the corner of the top layer.

I used my MISTI to line up the flowers and the layers on the watering can. I wanted the can to look old so I splattered gray ink and white ink onto it….

I tried several combinations to get the right color I wanted… I ended up using two shades of gray and one shade of stone (light warm gray) to achieve this look. The fun thing is you could make this any bright color!! Maybe I need to do a vivid green can next!!

I used a ton of inks for all these cards today. I tried to link them all in case you like my combos. The peaches combo, in my opinion is perfect!!! Again, I tried about 20 ink pads on that!!

  • The Greetery – TGIF – A Vintage Note!

Hey friends! Happy Friday! I'm featuring a card over on The Greetery blog for TGIF (The Greetery Inspiration Friday!) I'm sharing a vintage inspired card for this Summer Friday! I like a good vintage project, and getting my hands inky! One of the many things I love about The Greetery stamps and dies is that they can be adapted to any crafting, card-making style. Everything is so creative and flexible to make your style shine. The stamps I used for this project could be used just as easily is bright bold tones, or soft pastels, or warmer hues…

Today I'm using one of my favorite products from the last Greetery release: The Pinwheel Party Dies and Stencils. I wanted to use them again with a retro look… I combined them with lots of previously released goodies and Distress Inks.

My finished card is an A2 sized card base in dark brown paper. I started by creating a cool, old paper looking background. I used watercolor paper, a water brush, and brown and blue Distress Inks. I kept layering the inks until I got a nice, worn paper look. Then I used stamps from the Pretty Postmarks Stamp set (the beautiful text and the circular postmark) and stamped them over the background. I sprayed the stamping with water to make it soften. I love text stamps! The overall feeling of this card is vintagey goodness!!

Lots of different elements on this card. I love the bright pop of pink mixed in with all the brown tones.

    The Greetery Inspiration Friday

For the tag, I used the Speed Tagging Die Set and die cut the scalloped tag from watercolor paper. I used Distress Inks and the Oopsie Daisy stamp set to stamp the two daisy flowers onto the tag. I used a water brush to soften the edges of the stamping to mimic water coloring. I splattered inks over the flowers and also added a bit more of the text…. LOTS of splatters!!

I die cut pinwheels using the Pinwheel Party Dies – some from watercolor paper, and some from text paper. I used the matching Pinwheel Party Stencils to add blue and brown stripes. Then the pinwheels were inked around the edges with a sponge dauber…

I stamped and die cut a pretty postage stamp to add to my collage. The sentiment was die cut from the awesome Sentiment Starters word dies set. My finishing touches are a bit of twine and a few gold enamel dots. The main elements were attached to the card using foam tape.

I hope I've inspired you today to look at your stamps a new way!! If you usually do bright and bold, try vintage. If you always use one certain color palette – try something new. All of these stamps and dies are meant to spark your own style! I love that.

  • The Greetery Confetti Collection! Day 2 – Celebrating the one year anniversary of The Greetery!

Helloooooo! Welcome to Day 2 of the product reveals for The Greetery's Confetti Collection! We are celebrating the one year anniversary of The Greetery, with beautiful products perfect for parties!! I'm so excited that I get to share all of this with you! It is my pleasure indeed! What was your favorite thing from yesterday's reveal?? Aren't those balloons gorgeous? EEP. Today is more and more goodness to spark your creativity! All the new products will be available tomorrow, Friday 5/29 at 10am EST!

Today the design team and special guests are featuring the following new products: Pinwheel Party stencils, stamps + die, Cake Pops Collection: Cake Pops die, Cake Pops stand, Cake Pops Number Candles, Cake Pops Banner, Cake Pops Sentiments stamp. Whew – that's a lot of awesomeness! I am sharing some party favor treats and a card with you today.

I remember a few weeks ago, opening my box from The Greetery, and seeing this suite of Cake Pop stamps and dies. I just sat there with my mouth open! Like who thinks of this???? I was blown away. My creative juices were flowing fast and I thought of so many ideas! I decided on a pretty color palette based on these party fans I have in my craft room – beautiful modern girl colors…. They are called cake pops because you can add candies or other surprises inside the bubbles. I created some cake party favors to share with you, and a sweet little cake stand too. OMG you guys!!! I can't take it!!!

    THE GREETERY CELEBRATION

Aren't these the cutest thing you've ever seen??? Those tiny banners?? Stop!! I made two cakes, based on the color palette in my party fans – there's another photo later in my post. The dies come with frosting, and flowers, and banners, and bows and a cake plate….it just goes on and on with the details. Fully customizable for any occasion. I am thinking birthday parties, and bridal showers, and weddings, and Halloween even! Anything! Just change the colors and they work for anything. I filled mine with jelly beans, which you can find in all colors…again, make the project your own! I had fun die cutting and putting everything together. The pieces are very easy to assemble too.

And that pretty aqua cake stand?? That's a die set too! It's SO easy. Cut out one top, and four bases, and glue them together! Adorable. I die cut a second top out of vellum and tucked it under the aqua part. You can just see the vellum poking out from underneath. I also used white ink spray to add white splashes on it. I wanted it to look like blue milk glass…

Here is the party fan that inspired my color palette! My paper choices are from my stash…. I used the party fans to stage my photos and I love how it all turned out. So happy and fresh! I always love a pop of gold or silver….

I used some of the flowers, and the bows to add a bit of flair to the sentiment banner. I used Copic Markers on all the flowers to add a bit of depth to the cardstock. Enamel Dots and white splatter too (cuz you know me…)

The Greetery will sell the clear bubbles… You fill them with candy or treats and then glue the bottom on! The rest really is customization to how little or much you want to add. The numbers dies are so fabulous too – you can make numbers pop out the top of the cake!

And my final project for this Release Week is a card made with the Pinwheel Party stamps, dies and stencils! This stencil set is remarkable!!! Betsy again thought of everything!! And, as always, a use/directions guide will come with your stencils making it super easy to get amazing results. The first thing I thought of when I saw these products was – Fourth of July patriotic bunting!!! That idea just took off and sparked my color palette and everything else. This finished card is a 5.25 inch square card. I wanted more area for those stenciled images.

Red, white, blue and gold! Totally patriotic and festive!! Look at the detail of those pinwheel dies!!! I used the stencil to add white ink over the dark blue and the red medallions…. LOVE. I splattered everything with gold ink also.

In this photo you can see all the stenciling…. It looks so complex, but really it is SO EASY. I used four colors of ink and some small sponge daubers. That's it! It's four stencils and you can line them up to create this gorgeous look. You can even use more than two color families – the possibilities are endless. (I cannot wait to see Betsy's samples!)

  • The Greetery Confetti Collection! Day 1 – Celebrating the one year anniversary of The Greetery!

Hello friends! OH BOY! Are you in for a treat this week! It's a brand new, beautiful, amazing, sweet, creative, unique and awesome release from The Greetery! The Greetery is celebrating their one year anniversary this week! And, the products are all about celebrating! The collection is called The Confetti Collection. Think parties, birthdays, celebrations, festivities!! For the next two days the Design Team will be doing project and product reveals. And then everything will be for sale on Friday 5/29 at 10am EST! I am hard pressed to think of another stamp/die release that is as perfect as this one. Everything is golden. I had the best time creating with all the supplies. I made six projects!! Today I'm sharing four cards. Tomorrow, another card, and some pretty party favors. Can't wait to show you! Lots of pictures today! Hope you are doing well this week. Thanks for coming by. XO

First up is a birthday card made with the creative Balloon Bouquet stamps and dies, along with the Big Balloons Die Set. Only Betsy would think to make a giant balloon stamp with FLOWERS inside of it! OMG. I made a "celebrate" card using the word stamps (in the prettiest font). I also used the Ticker Tape Background stamp. This could be a birthday card, a shower card, a retirement card, anything that calls for a celebration.

The Greetery Anniversary Release May 2020

For size and scale, this finished card is an A2 card size. The balloon is big!! I lined up the florals and leaves using my MISTI – two shades of pink and two shades of green. I heat embossed the word on the top with white embossing powder. The blue background is also stamped. I stamped it three times with the MISTI to get even ink coverage.

I colored the background with blenders and Distress Inks. Then I stamped the Background stamp over the blended background with the same color! Makes such a pretty background for the balloons. I used the balloon die set and cut out two more balloons from vellum to use as accents on the card. The strings were die cut from silver cardstock. I love a bit of sparkle!!

The Greetery Confetti Collection release. Balloon Bouquet stamps and dies. Ticker Tape Background stamp, ink blending, Greetery Design Team Wanda Guess

Next up is a very graphic birthday card using the Big Balloons Dies and another sentiment from the Balloon Bouquet stamp set!! I love how this came out. You could use any colors to match the celebration or the person's favorite colors! I could even see this being used as an invitation to a birthday party. The finished card is A2 and I covered the card front with some gingham from my stash.

The big balloon die set comes with the string and the little pieces to use as highlights. (Again Betsy thinks of everything!) I die cut a bunch of balloons out and attached them to the card. Then I used my paper trimmer to get a clean edge. The main balloon is mounted on the card with foam tape. It is also heat embossed with white embossing powder. Looks so nice against that vivid red. (This is one of my favorite Summer color combinations)

This third card was made using the brand new Think Happy stamps and dies!! I also used the previously released Silver Linings Dies…. They are perfect together! This stamp/die set is a beautiful half rainbow with a cloud filled with flowers! Oh so sweet and cheerful. The sentiments have a cool, modern retro feeling. It's alllll nice! The finished card is an A2 card base in gray, layered with silver and then white.

I die cut the rainbow and the flowers from the same colors of cardstock. Pretty bright Summer colors. I splattered some white ink all over everything too. It is very easy to assemble everything. The color combos are endless!!!

The Greetery New Release. Think Happy stamps and dies, Rainbow dies, clouds dies. Happy cards. The Greetery Design Team Wanda Guess

I die cut the clouds dies from white cardstock to fit along the bottom of the card. I used the new Moon Dust Stickles gel to make the clouds sparkly. I easily applied it with my finger!! It dries pretty fast – so fun. I added a few raindrops embellishments too. (Supplies are at the bottom of my post)

And, lastly, an elegant and classy birthday card made with the Birthday Blooms stamps and dies!! This stamp set has pretty floral sprays that you stamp and mount around beautiful words. Another super versatile set!! This finished card is an A2 purple card base. I layered white and then kraft. The kraft layer was stamped in Versamark Ink with the beautiful Windowpane background stamp. Then I splattered it with gold paint.

I stamped and die cut the floral sprays. Then I die cut an oval and mounted the sprays around the oval. I heat embossed the words in gold embossing powder. The birthday was embossed onto vellum (love) and the happy was embossed onto purple cardstock. I added a few pearls as accents on this card.

  • Sending a Squeeze!

Hello friends! What day is it? It's Friday!  I'm excited to have a project over on The Greetery Blog today! I'm posting here too because sharing is caring! Every Friday on The Greetery Blog there is a feature called TGIF = The Greetery Inspiration Friday = and one of us on the design team shares a card or project with everyone. Well, today is my day! Yeah! I'm sharing a bright and cheerful card for you this Spring Friday! As the season changes to Spring I am always inspired to use vivid and happy colors in my crafting. Right now I am making everything with yellow! I guess we can all use a little sunshine, right? And I know I could use a squeeze! (I'm definitely a hugger)

I'm featuring one of my very favorite The Greetery stamp sets – Lemon Blossom. So fresh and pretty, and so many different ways to use this stamp set. I combined it with the beautiful Windowpane Background Stamp. Reminds me of a pretty tablecloth with a big bowl of lemons. I even made my husband go out in the backyard and get some lemons to use in my photo shoot! LOL! The finished card is an A2 kraft card base.

The Greetery Lemon Blossom. Cheerful card. Windowpane background stamp. TGIF on The Greetery Blog Wanda Guess

I used a MISTI to stamp and heat emboss the background in white embossing powder onto a sheet of teal cardstock. Then I die cut that layer out with the awesome Crimped Dies. Then I added a layer of vellum, die cut from the smallest size of the Crimped Dies.

I wanted to try something a bit different with the lemons, leaves and flowers stamps. So I stamped the images onto colored cardstock instead of white! I used a slightly darker shade of the same color to stamp onto the paper. I used the matching dies to cut out everything.

Lemon stamps and dies. Handmade card. The Greetery

The Lemon Blossom stamp set has the word "squeeze" in it! I paired that word with the "sending a" word dies. At this time, I know I miss squeezing my friends…so this is the perfect card to send.

I finished off the card with a few clear gems in the flower centers. I also used white paint to splatter white ink onto the die cut pieces and the background. That is one of my favorite techniques!

Wishing you a beautiful weekend full of happiness and creativity! Take care friends. I'll be back on Monday with a pretty water color card I made with Altenew stamps and dies! XOXO

  • Introducing The Greetery – Fresh Air Collection – Day 2!

Welcome to day two of the project sharing for The Greetery's March Release! I hope you saw my post from yesterday (if not, scroll down and you'll see it!) The new release is called the Fresh Air Collection. And, boy, is it a breath of fresh air indeed! Pretty florals, new clouds dies, stripes, alphabets, and a sweet little convertible car! It is my distinct pleasure to share these new things with you! I love being part of this amazing team! Full list of our wonderful team members' blogs is at the bottom of this post.

The new products go live in The Greetery Shop on Friday, March 27th at 10am EST! Mark your calendars! Quick note from Betsy – a few of the dies have been delayed in production because the factory had to shut down due to the corona virus situation… She predicts the dies will be available in early April – so two weeks' delay. We are all adjusting on the fly these days, right?

The products being introduced today are: Print Shop Fresh Floral stamp + stencil + dies, Fresh Floral Background stamp, Slim Alphabet Dies, and Alpha Buds stamps + Dies. You are in for a treat!! I used the florals and the slim alphabet to create two totally different cards to share with you. One is vintage and feminine and the other one has a big rainbow on it!  Please pop over to The Greetery Blog to see the cards and information from Betsy!

My first card today is an A2 size vintage style card with tons of yummy, pretty layers! I used the new floral background and the floral stem in a favorite color combination of pink and green…

In this photo you can see all the layers… Pretty cream postage stamp layer, green, and another cream layer with a stitched border. Everything was inked up with a sponge dauber and Vintage Photo Distress Ink… That background stamp is SO gorgeous! I stamped it in a mid shade green to look like wallpaper. YES!

The Greetery New Release Fresh Air Collection. Print Shop Fresh Floral stamps and dies, Fresh Floral Background, Slim Alphabet. Vintage card. Distress Ink. Birthday card. Wanda Guess Greetery Design Team

For the floral panel, I used cream cardstock. I stamped the background stamp in green using my MISTI for a nice impression. Then I used one of the word stamps from the Pretty Postmarks set to add the faint text on top of the floral. Then I splattered the panel with gold paint. THEN…I inked the edges! I really like how this came out. Very vintage!

I stamped and die cut out the floral stem and smaller flowers. I used cream cardstock and edged everything with distress ink. I heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of vellum and wrapped the vellum around the top layers. Finished off with a pearl for a bit of shimmer and some ribbon from my stash. These florals are so beautiful!!

Okay, put on your sunglasses!!! This next card is a rainbow! The finished card is an A2 white card base. I used the Crimped edges dies to make my layers along with some golden yellow cardstock. I used the Fresh Florals set to stamp sprigs, leaves and flowers in a dark grey ink. I used vellum for this card also.

I die cut the letters of the rainbow using the new Slim Alphabet dies and my favorite tropical cardstock. I glued the letters onto a vellum strip… The sentiment is from the Top Dow Day stamp set featured yesterday. I LOVE that sentiment!!

The fonts in this stamp are PERFECTiON!!!! I used my circle dies to create this sentiment piece. Love the bright yellow with that saying.

To finish off, I attached some rainbow stickers from my stash (sometimes it's good that I'm a craft hoarder!)…

  • Introducing The Greetery – Fresh Air Collection – March 2020!

Welcome to day one of the project sharing for The Greetery's March Release! YEAH! We could all use some fun crafty things right now to cheer us up!  The new release is called the Fresh Air Collection. And, boy, is it a breath of fresh air indeed! Pretty florals, new clouds dies, stripes, and a sweet little convertible car! I had so much creative fun making the cards I'm sharing today!!

The products being introduced today are: Top Down Day stamps + dies, Silver Lining Dies, and the Painterly Stripes background stamp (which is red rubber!) I used all three products and it was a joy to work with them!! I'm sharing two cards today with that cute convertible! Please pop over to The Greetery Blog to see the cards and information from Betsy!

My first card showcases the Painterly Stripes background and the Top Down Day stamps and dies. I used my favorite watercolor paints to color the images! The finished card is an A2 red cardstock card base. I layered the stripes and then one more layer with the cute car. This stamp set lends itself to a clean and graphic style of cards I think!

I stamped and die cut the car, the balloons and the girl using watercolor cardstock. Then I painted them all using Mijello watercolor paints. I kept the color palette fresh and bright with rainbow colors! My first car I ever bought brand new was a convertible!! Oh, man, how I loved that car!!! (A Volkswagen Cabriolet!)

The Greetery Top Down Day stamps and dies

Here's a close up of the stripes background stamp… I stamped it in Candied Apple Distress Ink and used a damp paint brush to soften the edges of the stripes. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the top layer.

Everything was attached to the card using foam squares to pop off the page!

Doesn't this just make you want to go for a drive??!! YES!

Next up is another graphic and clean card. It's a finished A2 card base made from white cardstock – that was covered with gingham patterned paper. The top layer has the convertible stamped directly onto it…. Then I layered those yummy new clouds dies!!

The Greetery New Release! Fresh Air Collection. Top Down Day stamps, Silver Lining Dies, Painterly Stripes background. Wanda Guess

I used the happy word die in rich black paper and then stamped the sentiment Summer onto the top cloud. I thought the fonts worked nicely together! See how gorgeous those clouds are?? Just a bit of detail with the pierced dots. I edged the clouds with Distress Ink and then went over them with a bit of Wink Of Stella pen.

The car has a floral option for the back that is just gorgeous!!!!!

  • Introducing The Greetery – Lily and Palm Release – February 2020!

Hello everyone! Today is an exciting day! It's time to introduce the brand new, beautiful February release from The Greetery!! It's called Lily and Palm and it's all about Spring and Easter. Gosh, it's really all so beautiful and classic. I feel so lucky to be part of this team! Betsy blows me away each month with her vision and the gorgeous, timeless stamps and dies. I love Easter, so this release is particularly a favorite!! I know you're going to love it too. I'm sharing three projects today – as is the rest of the team. Be sure to pop over to The Greetery Blog today to see allllll the inspiration, and the links to the rest of the design team. All the new products will be for sale tomorrow morning! Yay! I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day! Now, let's look at some projects!!

First up is a gift/candy box and matching mini card. I am thinking this is a lovely idea for place settings at the Easter table. Or small gifts to give your friends and family at church. The pillow box holds a gift card or some candies…. I used the gorgeous new Lily Botanicuts Dies…

The Greetery New Release Easter Cards and projects. Lily and Palm release. Caring Cross, Botanicuts Lily, Easter Jubilee Kit. Design Team Wanda Guess

I made the pillow box using the Pillow Box Punch Board! I used the Summer Sketches leaves stamp and stamped onto the aqua paper with Versamark ink to add some interest. Then I assembled the box. I wrapped the box with vellum and added a small doily. The focal point of the piece is that gorgeous Stargazer Lily!!! It was SO EASY to assemble!! In all the die sets, there is a graphic sheet included to show you exactly how to put everything together. Love that. I used cardstock and then added accents with Copic Markers and white paint. I love how it came out!!

The Greetery New Release Easter Cards and projects. Lily and Palm release. Caring Cross, Botanicuts Lily, Easter Jubilee Kit. Design Team Wanda Guess

I made a mini note card from cardstock and did some simple stamping….Sometimes one layer looks so clean and pretty!!

Here's a close up of the flower and the stamping on the pillow box…

Next up is an Easter card in non traditional hues… The finished card is an A2 kraft card base. I layered white and teal and then white again to make my focus on the cross and palms. I used the new Caring Cross stamps and dies along with the Palm Botanicuts… SO pretty!!!!

The Greetery New Release Easter Cards and projects. Lily and Palm release. Caring Cross, Botanicuts Lily, Easter Jubilee Kit. Design Team Wanda Guess

The palms were die cut from Bristol cardstock and then water colored with distress inks. the cross was die cut with woodgrain cardstock from my stash. The sentiment was stamped onto vellum and wrapped around the cardstock layers. This is one of my favorite looks. In fact the very first stamp class I ever taught was all about how to use vellum!!

The Greetery New Release Easter Cards and projects. Lily and Palm release. Caring Cross, Botanicuts Lily, Easter Jubilee Kit. Design Team Wanda Guess

I layered the palms in front of and behind the cross. I used liquid glue to glue them down. The cross is popped up with foam dots.

Lastly, is another Easter card made with the new Easter Jubilee Kit!! This kit is made up of dies, stamps and stencils and you're going to love it!! No one makes a kit like Betsy. She is a genius at designing things to work together so perfectly!! The finished card is an A2 white card base, layered with some pretty spring green cardstock and then a Crimped layer.

The Greetery New Release Easter Cards and projects. Lily and Palm release. Caring Cross, Botanicuts Lily, Easter Jubilee Kit. Design Team Wanda Guess

There are three stencils included in the kit and you use all three to layer down your base colors. In my photo, the first stencil was done with blue hues, the second stencil with green and the third stencil with purple. Then you go back with the stamps and add dimension to the flowers (dark green and dark purple). Like I said – genius!! The Easter letters fit inside the stenciled area…. love it!!

The Greetery New Release Easter Cards and projects. Lily and Palm release. Caring Cross, Botanicuts Lily, Easter Jubilee Kit. Design Team Wanda Guess

I wanted a watercolor effect so I splattered some more ink onto the panel. I added pearls for accents. And I used the new happy word die in purple and added it on top of the Easter part.

The color combinations for this are ENDLESS! I wanted to try something different so I used pretty purples….

  • TGIF with The Greetery! Winter Thank You Card!

Hey friends! TGIF! TGIF means Thank God It's Friday….but it also means The Greetery Inspiration Friday! I'm super happy to be sharing over on The Greetery Official Blog today! Woot! I'm also sharing here on my blog because, well sharing is caring! CLICK HERE to visit The Greetery Blog to see all the fun inspiration from Betsy and the rest of our team. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee that! Every Friday there will be a new project to inspire you to use your beautiful The Greetery stamps, dies and stencils.

Today I'm sharing a pretty thank you card and I'm calling it – Winter Garden. This time of year I always need thank you cards. For Christmas presents, for parties I was invited to, for business associates. So I like to stretch my Christmas stamps and dies in new ways to carry on into Winter months by making thank yous. I thought it might be pretty to use the beautiful Pine Bough Botanicuts Dies together with the innovative and pretty Terrarium Die and create a Winter Garden.

The Greetery Stamps and Dies. Project by Wanda Guess. Winter Thank You Card.

That Terrarium die is SO pretty! I die cut it from Gold shimmer cardstock from my stash. I combined lots of textures on this card – I love the contrast between the woodgrain paper and the vellum and the gold. I used shades of Winter for this project: Icy blue, sparkling bright white, warm brown and all shades of green. I really love to combine textures on my cards and that's what I did here. Twine and enamel dots as accents add even more texture.

The Greetery Stamps and Dies. Project by Wanda Guess. Winter Thank You Card.

I die cut the pine leaves from watercolor paper and used small sponge daubers and Distress Inks to add shades of greens. Once the ink was dry, I splattered lots of white paint to look like snow. The background of the terrarium was also ink blended with Distress Ink.

The Greetery Stamps and Dies. Project by Wanda Guess. Winter Thank You Card.

    Distress Ink Watercolor

I used the little tag from the Sentiment Suites Basics to add a design element to the top of the card. The words are from the Christmas Caravan stamp set. I used Stazon Ink to stamp the gorgeous thank you sentiment onto a strip of vellum.

  • The Greetery – Love Letters Collection!

Good morning everyone! Today is going to be a great day at A Blog Called Wanda! I have TWO blog posts today! So super excited to share everything that I've been making. We are definitely turning the corner towards Spring and Valentine crafting and I'm loving it! This post is for The Greetery! Yeah! Welcome to day one of the project sharing for The Greetery's new January Release! The release is called Love Letters, and it's truly so gorgeous. Betsy has outdone herself yet again. Beautiful florals, hearts, letters, postage stamps…everything you can imagine when you think of love letters. I had so much creative fun making the cards I'm sharing today!! Full list of our wonderful team members' blogs is at the bottom of this post.

Products go live in The Greetery shop on Friday, January 17 at 10 am EST! Mark your calendars! I'm predicting you're going to want it allllll!

The products the team is featuring today are: Signed & Sealed stamps + dies, Signed & Sealed With a Kiss stamps + dies, Pretty Postmarks stamps + dies, Windowpane Plaid Background, and Postal Frames die. I tried to use everything because I couldn't stop myself. I made a mixed media collage type card and then a more simple Valentine. I combined textures and mediums…. Let's look!

My first card is pure vintage Valentine! The finished card is an A2 cream cardstock base. I used cream, kraft, black and red as my palette, with that pop of cupid pink on the bow. The music sheet is from a vintage music book I bought at my friends Antique Store.

    Love-letters-the-greetery-jan-2020-teaser

Here's a close up of the beautiful new stamps and dies. OH LA LA!! I stamped the floral sprig from Signed and Sealed With A Kiss and die cut it with the matching die. I tried something different and stamped it in black on cream – with no color. I kinda like it. I splattered my favorite gold watercolor paint on top, then I really liked it! The tag was cut from the Speed Tagging Die… I used the Postage Stamps dies in kraft cardstock as another layer. Pops of metal and red felt….

This beautiful bow is from a previous release…and I die cut it from pink patterned paper. The music sheet is at the bottom of the whole stack of elements.

The Greetery Love Letters Collection. New release January 2020. Valentines cards mixed media stamping and die cutting. Wanda Guess

One of my favorite tips for cardmakers: combine textures!! Here you see metal, and pearls and felt and paper…all together. It's visually interesting and lets the eye travel and explore. You'll notice that almost all of my cards have a 'hard' element like enamel dots or sequins, metal or rhinestones. I add those things last usually and in my head I think…It's like putting on your earrings before you leave the house!

Valentine card ideas. Handmade mixed media

The Greetery Love Letters Collection. New release January 2020. Valentines cards mixed media stamping and die cutting. Wanda Guess

I used a scrap of pretty gold paper for this little sprig! (All the supplies are listed at the bottom of this post)! The new release is available on Friday, but some of the other things I used are already in the shop!

    Handmade valentines

The Greetery Love Letters Collection. New release January 2020. Valentines cards mixed media stamping and die cutting. Wanda Guess

A bit ago I posted how I made THIS VINTAGE MINI CLIPBOARD… These Valentine cards are what inspired that project!

The Greetery Love Letters Collection. New release January 2020. Valentines cards mixed media stamping and die cutting. Wanda Guess

This next Valentine is a bit more clean and classic. I used the same supplies and created a pretty greeting complete with a love letter. I used cream cardstock instead of bright white. The front of the card is the largest size of the new Postage Stamp Dies. I cut a card slightly smaller and mounted it to the card. It's slightly smaller than A2 size.

Handmade valentine card ideas. Envelopes. Mixed media. The Greetery

The envelope is from the Signed and Sealed stamp + die set. It's the PERFECT sized envelope and has greetings and an envelope liner! It's creative and innovative. I don't have anything like this in my stash and I know I'll use it a lot!! I stamped and die cut the envelope. Then I used Antique Linen Distress Ink mixed with some water to slightly color the envelope. I splattered some black paint onto the background.

This first card is bright and shiny, like a Christmas ornament!! I used the awesome Nordic Frames Dies, along with the beautiful Winter Sketches stamps and the Fit To Be Tied Dies…. Traditional colors of red and green, with a pop of silver! The finished card is an A2 white card base. Layered with some gingham and woodgrain from my stash…

Here's a top down shot of all the layers… I used a bit of twine for the ornament hanger, and stuck it through the hole in the die cut piece. I used a circle die to make an ornament from silver cardstock.

I stamped the pretty bough from the Winter Sketches stamp set. So easy to line up and stamp these pretty pieces. I die cut a bow from bright red cardstock and then attached them all together. One pretty glitter enamel dot in the center of the bow to finish off…

Next up is my final card for this release! I used the new Budding Beauties stamps and dies along with the existing mason jar stamps to create a winter scene! The new stamps are pretty little bouquets for winter. The finished card is an A2 card base from white cardstock. I layered aqua and then just a bit of red gingham…

Here's a side view to see the layers. I stamped and die cut out the pretty holly bouquet. Then I used the stamps to stamp more foliage onto the card layer to go behind the die cut piece. So easy to get this nice effect.

  • The Greetery Winter’s Song Mini Release!

Hi there crafty friends! How are you? How's your week going so far? I hope all is well with you! Today is an exciting reveal day for The Greetery! This is a mini release to launch more beautiful Christmas stamps, dies and stencils! The release reveals are two days (today and tomorrow) and then all the goodies will be for sale at The Greetery on Friday November 22 at 10am EST. I am so excited to show you the new products, and I am also super excited to see what all the other designers made to share today! I'll be sharing two cards today, and two cards tomorrow. All Christmas! I'm getting a really good start on my Christmas cards. CLICK HERE to visit the Greetery Website and Blog.

The first card to share today is a vintage inspired traditional Christmas card. Made in shades of red, green and gold, and then tons of distress inks and glitter! Yummmmmy. I used the brand new Nordic Frames Dies along with the gorgeous new Pine Blossoms Stamp set. Lots of one layer stamping for the win on this one. I started with an A2 card base in kraft, and then one layer of bright Christmas red. The top layer and the oval are die cut from cream cardstock.

Here's a close up of the stamping/floral cluster. This is a layered stamp set that is easy to line up with your Misti or stamp positioner! I covered parts of the images with chunky Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

I die cut the Nordic Frames panel and stamped directly onto that die cut. Greens, reds, golds…. I edged everything with brown distress inks and a sponge dauber. The oval was die cut out and also edged with distress inks. I used a hole punch and some twine to attach it to the card front.

Here's a side view so you can see the glitter and the layers… I stamped a few snowflakes onto the oval for a bit of a pop of color.

And here's a close up of that beautiful Nordic Frames Die!!! This is the largest size of the dies in that set.

The next card was made using the amazing new Speed Tagging Paper and the brand new Inside Out Berry Branch Die. The card base is A2 in kraft cardstock. The top layer is cream cardstock. I tried to think of an innovative way to use the Speed Tagging Paper. IT'S SOOOOO PRETTY! OMG. The paper matches up with the Speed Tagging Die launched last release! I die cut out one of the sheets and then used the tags to make my own patterned paper! I'll explain more…

The Greetery Speed Tagging Paper. Inside out berry branch. Christmas card

The center focal point of this card is a layered piece with three die cut circles! I layered kraft and cream cardstocks until I had the right size I wanted for the center of the card. I love using metallic paper, vellum and all that good vintagey looking stuff! I piled it all on this card!

    30

In this shot you can see how I used the tags to make my background patterned paper. I glued the tags to a piece of cream cardstock. Then I ran it through my die cutting machine using the Crimped Frames Dies. I love how it came out!!

I die cut the Inside Out Berry Branch Dies from silver paper and vellum and mixed and matched them with my focal element circle. So many textures and colors going on in this card.

  • The Greetery Winter 2019 Release! Day four – Candy Pops and Christmas Tags!

Hi friends! It's a very exciting day again today! The Greetery Winter 2019 Release will be on sale tomorrow!! Today is the last day of product reveals!! And the entire new release goes on sale Friday, October 4th at 7am EST. WOOHOOOOO! Have you been following along all week with me and the other designers? I have been in awe of the amazing projects everyone has created! Wowza!! So happy to have been part of the celebrations! CLICK HERE to visit The Greetery Website and blog.

Today I have two more projects! One card, and one set of Christmas packaging tags. The new products I'm using today are the Candy Pops Collection and the Speed Tagging Collection! Both are again, so innovative and creative…Can't wait to show you!

First up is this cheerful and vivid card made in green and red for Christmas. I used the Candy Pops Dies to make a shaker card! These dies can be used like this, or with clear bubbles to enclose candies and other treats. The finished card is a white A2 card base…

The Greetery Candy Pops Collection by Betsy Veldman. Shaker Card for CHristmas

Here's a close up of the different dies! The stamp set has curved sentiments to fit around the edge!! I die cut the main portion from white cardstock and then used vellum for the ends, to look like candy wrappers. I used bright red for the peppermint center!! It's so clean and graphic.

This was super easy to assembly and I love how happy it is! I buy my shaker card bits and baubles here. Can you see the tiny snowflakes?? And I always love sparkly things inside my shaker cards.

    The Greetery Candy Pops Collection

Next up is a set of vintage inspired Christmas Tags made with the Speed Tagging stamp and die combo! OMG this is soooo clever! I took lots of process photos to show you how easy this is!! I made ALL OF THESE TAGS at one time! Yes! I used Cream cardstock and lots of distress inking and vintage colors…. I really like how they came out.

The Greetery by Betsy Veldman. Speed Tagging Collection. Handmade Christmas tags

The stamp set has tons of sentiments and also extras like bows, and bells and leaves… You can dress up your tags or leave them clean and simple. Mine are somewhere in between! These are so great to have on hand, or to give as a little gift.

    The Greetery

Okay, so here's the deal! It's genius. The stamp is a red rubber stamp, that stamps so nice and clean! I usually use my MISTI, but for red rubber I always prefer my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform and that's what I used for this project. ONE stamp makes SEVEN tags at once!

Magic! Seven tags – boom – done!

    The Greetery Speed Tagging

See in the photo how there are dots on the corners of the stamp??? Those dots line up precisely with the die!! So you die cut ONE time! And all seven tags pop out.

    10

PERFECTION!!!!! I love this so much.

    10

I stamped in red ink to start, then gold, brown and olive tones to make it seem vintage. I splattered some Vintage Photo Distress Ink on them too. I think these will be so pretty with some kraft packages and red ribbons…

  • The Greetery Winter 2019 Release! Day three – With Love at Christmas!

Welcome back to more release reveals from The Greetery!  The Greetery Winter 2019 Release is in full swing! All the reveals happen until October 3rd! And then the entire new release goes on sale Friday, October 4th at 7am EST. WOOHOOOOO! I'll be posting projects for the next two days to showcase some of the new stamps and dies. It's going to be FUN, that's for sure! CLICK HERE to visit The Greetery Website and blog.

Today my card and envelopes feature the new stamp set called With Love at Christmas (SO pretty) and the new Addressed Die and the Flappable Stencils. LOTS to show you today. My projects are classic Christmas in traditional colors….

The Greetery With Love at Christmas. Watercolor Poinsettia Christmas card. Wanda Guess. Winter release 2019

The finished card is an A2 card base made from deep red cardstock. I used watercolor paper and made two layers of white/cream. I used Distress Inks to make the image and also to ink the edges of the layers. This stamp set is a GORGEOUS Christmas floral that is made with several stamps. They are easy to line up and the results are perfect. To make my floral spray, I stamped with Distress Inks. Then I used clean water and a small brush to move the color around, looking like I watercolored it!!! I splattered white ink to look like snow… The sentiment was gold embossed onto black paper.

The Greetery With Love at Christmas. Watercolor Poinsettia Christmas card. Wanda Guess. Winter release 2019

The Greetery now sells envelopes! This new die goes on the front of envelopes and it's soooo nice. I simply love the tiny scalloped edge. Cuts like a dream. I die cut it from watercolor paper to look luxe. I stamped a second floral spray to use on the envelope. Tip: When you make pretty envelopes like this, mail it in a clear plastic envelope!! That way it stays nice. Be sure to put the postage on the outside!

This release has brand new "Flappable" Stencils that perfectly stencil a design on the back envelope flap! It's such a pretty effect… Sure to impress all your friends when they receive your cards!

  • The Greetery Winter 2019 Release! Day two – Fun Vans!

Hey hey hey! It's an exciting day today! The Greetery Winter 2019 Release is in full swing! All the reveals happen until October 3rd! And then the entire new release goes on sale Friday, October 4th at 7am EST. WOOHOOOOO! I know you're going to love it. Betsy's Christmas collections are always so so good. CLICK HERE to visit The Greetery Website and blog.

Today's projects I'm sharing feature VW vans! Yes! How cool is that theme? I love it! My uncle had a VW van when I was little, and man, I thought he was the coolest person EVER. Ha! It was the 60's! LOL. I have a card and a fun 3D project here today! XO

This finished card is an A2 card base made from my favorite lime green paper! One layer of white paper and then those adorable vans, with Christmas trees on top. These little vans are racing too and fro, trying to get all the errands done! I can relate. The stamp set is called Care-A-Van! Love it!

The Greetery winter new release. Care a van stamp set christmas card by wanda guess

I used the little snowflakes stamp to stamp random flakes around the white layer, and then stamped that perfect sentiment directly onto the card as well.

The Greetery winter release. van stamps and dies

The van is made up of several stamps that you layer together. I used my MISTI to get them all perfectly lined up. Then there are cool add ons! I love this sweet little garland, and of course, the tree!

the greetery care a van stamp set

I made three identical vans for this card. Then I cut them with my trimmer to go off the card front! It was hard to cut them!! You'll see how I used the other parts in a minute…

    The Greetery new release

I attached the vans to the card using foam tape. I used the front of the one van to put on the front of the envelope! It matches perfectly!! FUN!

    christmas card ideas

Next up is the brilliant 3D Happy Hippie Van! Adorbs! You assemble it from your own choices of cardstock and the back opens up to put in a gift or treats! EEP. This was so much fun to make. Here's the front!

The Greetery Hippie Van 3d treat box

And here's the back! I made a little license plate that says craft! LOL. I made the bumpers from silver glittery paper and used light grey paper for the windows. You can truly customize this a million different ways. I kept mine simple so you could see what it looks like!

I am sharing a card made with the Autumn Sketches stamps, the Cozy Cup stamps, and the new Coaster dies. It all works together beautifully. POP over to The Greetery Blog to see everything from the week!

I love a pumpkin spice latte as much as anyone so I made that the theme of my card. A pretty latte, with fall leaves in the background, and warm tones of gold and orange. I love aqua with my Fall colors – it just looks so nice as a complimentary color. My finished card is an A2 kraft card base. Lots of layers of cream and gold cardstock too. Let's look!

The Greetery Betsy Veldman new release. Cozy coffee, Autumn Sketches, Coaster. Wanda Guess

The Autumn Sketches stamps are the most beautiful sprays of leaves…Oh my!! I stamped and die cut the leaves cluster using gold, orange and brown inks. It was so easy to get a beautiful result the first time. Betsy has designed everything to work perfectly. No stress. This was my first stamping of these images. Crisp and beautiful.

The Greetery Fall release stamps and dies

I stamped the coffee cup, the latte art, and the spoon and die cut them out. Then I used two colors to die cut the pretty coaster. The detail is incredible!! And, I LOOOOVE how the sentiments wrap around the cut. It's soooooo pretty! The sentiments are awesome in this set. And a pretty, delicate font.

    3

This card has lots of layers! Kraft card base, then gold cardstock, then cream cardstock, then another cream layer! THEN…the coasters and the cup. LOL! Yes, I love layers! I used a small glass and some distress ink to create coffee rings on the first cream layer! I also splattered brown ink on the two layers.

  • The Greetery Lemon Blossoms! And Inspiration Team Announcement!

Hey there my crafty and creative friends! How's your week been so far?? It's going to be 107 degrees here today! I'm staying inside, that's for sure! Yikes. One last blast of Summer before Fall comes! It's been a good week here. Lots going on, lots to create and photograph. Today I'm popping in to share a card and a super fun announcement! Betsy has invited me to join her very first "The Greetery" Design and Inspiration Team! Woot! I'm so excited to work with her on a regular basis and with the other gals on the team (See graphic below)! I will be helping launch the new releases! I am SO super ready for the August release, coming next week. I know you're going to LOVE it! I have the stamps already, and you're going to be inspired to create! Please head over to The Greetery Blog to see Betsy's post!

In honor of the DT announcement today I made a sweet Summer card in pretty lemon yellow and vivid blue. I love that color combination. It's always perfect. I inked up the Lemon Blossom stamp set for the first time. It's such a pretty stamp set!

Betsy Veldman The Greetery Lemon Blossom. Distress Ink Blending. Summer card. Wanda Guess

Happy to see my face in this lineup! So many of my favorite crafters!
Betsy Veldman The Greetery Design Team

This finished card is a white A2 card base. I die cut the Crimped Dies into a rectangle and used pretty Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink to make my blue background. It fades darker to lighter from left to right, but I only used the one color of ink. (This was going to be a horizontal card with the color fading from top to bottom but then I changed my mind!) Then I splattered that blue panel with white ink. The gingham is my favorite paper from Sunny Studio! I mean, c'mon, I had to use yellow gingham right??

Betsy Veldman The Greetery Lemon Blossom. Distress Ink Blending. Summer card. Wanda Guess

I stamped and die cut the lemons, slices, flowers and leaves using my go-to inks. I heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark and white embossing powder. It pops off that blue!

Betsy Veldman The Greetery Lemon Blossom. Distress Ink Blending. Summer card. Wanda Guess

I affixed the blue layer with foam tape onto the gingham and the card base. The lemons, etc. are also attached to the card with foam tape. I used some clear droplets as my finishing touch.

When life gives you lemon stamps, make lemon cards! LOL!

Betsy Veldman The Greetery Lemon Blossom

These layered stamps are SO easy to line up! Betsy has thought of everything!! Easy to get these beautiful results…. The lemon slices could be limes, or grapefruits or oranges too!

I chose to make a vintage vibed card with watercolors and old music…it was such a joy to create, and now I get to share with all of you!

CLICK HERE to go to The Greetery to see all the pretty new items! I used some new and some previously released stamps and dies. You know I love to combine lots of different things on my cards! The water coloring and inking was done with Mini Distress Inks. I found the perfect ink combo to use with the mason jar stamps too! Let's get to it! The finished card is A2 sized and a white card base. I shot my card photos at the nursery! My entire card was inspired by my love of Black Eyed Susan flowers!! SO instead of making sunflowers, I made BES!

I started with a white card base. Then I layered a kraft layer die cut with the new dies. SO pretty! I have this old book of sheet music that I use for projects, so I tore off a page of that and layered it. Then a crisp and pretty white doily. Everything vintage!

I stamped the mason jar (this is three step stamping) onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock. And used the matching die to cut it out. Then I die cut several flowers and leaves pieces out of the Bristol also. I used shades of yellow, green and brown Mini Distress Inks to color all the pieces. To achieve the look I wanted, I cut some of the assembled flowers in half!! I love how that looks!

The red heart was colored with Distress Ink. It's a VERY VERY old hand punch from my stash. I still have a few of those left!! I splattered brown and white ink over everything. I inked the edges of all the pieces too.

I used a pretty basics die and the Birthday Suite stamps to make a tag for my flower bouquet!

And, finally, my inspiration for today's project!! I am obsessed with rich, golden, Summer yellow right now! I bought three shirts lately and they are all this color!! It's the perfect transition from Summer to early Autumn…SO beautiful. God's hand over all of it!!

  • Introducing The Greetery June New Product Release!

Hi everybody!!! Happy Monday!!! And it's a goooood Monday indeed!!! Today starts the new release countdown for The Greetery June 2019 products! Yahooooooo. It's very hard to keep a secret around here. I'm happy when I can finally share. Betsy has created another smashing new release and I'll be sharing a card today on day one of release week. She will continue showing projects all week and the entire release will be available for purchase on Friday 6/21 at 10am EST. Be sure to check in daily on The Greetery Blog to see all the pretty samples we've been making to show you. It's a dream to get to work with Betsy and her new company. She's the absolute best!

Today I'm featuring the new stamps and dies called Summer Sketches. Beautiful florals perfect for this time of year. I also used the Sentiment Suite-Birthday stamps and the Sentiment Suites Basics dies. Everything works so nicely together. I chose to use watercolors for my card today. When I saw the stamps, that's really what spoke to me. Pretty, flowy, watercolors. Let's go!

The finished card is a grey base A2 size. I chose the color for my card base to match the moody gray stripes on the front panel. To begin, I stamped several of the flower clusters in Archival ink onto watercolor paper. I colored everything with my favorite Mijello Mission watercolors and die cut the florals out with the matching dies. I used Summer colors – green, cornflower blue, red and yellow. So fresh!!!

The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder onto black cardstock, then die cut with one of the basics dies. It fit so nicely over the stems of the flowers. Everything is mounted to the card with foam tape.

Here is my work table ready for coloring!

I created my own background paper by hand painting stripes onto a sheet of watercolor paper. This is so easy and fun…and you can make whatever color you want! Use a flat brush, and lots of water…and just let it flow.

And, you just know I had to splatter! White, gold, and gray splatters for this one! Be sure to dry each color before doing the next color, so they don't all run together. I just give a quick blast with my heat gun.

  • Introducing The Greetery – by Betsy Veldman!

Okay friends….hold on to your hats! Today is a SUPER FUN day and a REALLY FABULOUS announcement. I'm very very very happy to be part of this, and to finally share with all of you! My friend and amazing artist Betsy Veldman is opening up her own stamp company! YES! It's called The Greetery. Isn't that a pretty name?  Her tag line is "Where Making and Giving Meet." I have admired, loved, collected, and created with her beautiful designs for many years. Her art and her stamps/kits  have been among my favorites forever. She is a wonderful, kind person, and so very talented.

Today, I am honored to be part of the kickoff countdown to The Greetery's product launch! Betsy's been doing sneak peeks on The Greetery Blog for the past couple of weeks. This week there will be guest artists sharing projects every day. Then, The Greetery storefront goes live on Friday April 26th at 10am ET. (I'm predicting a sell out!) Big, heartfelt congratulations to Betsy on her new creative business venture! WOOT!

I have three projects to share with you! Lots of pictures in this post, and I'll try to give you as many instructions and tips as possible as I go along. The stamps and dies are all made in the USA and they stamp and cut perfectly right out of the package. Excellent quality! It was a creative pleasure to work with the innovative new stamps. I'm featuring the "Hand in Hand" stamps and dies, the "Fir and Foliage No. 1" stamps and dies, and the Pathway Stencil.

First up is a card made with both of the stamp sets and also the Pathway Stencil. I used it all! Because I just had to! The finished card is A2 size for scale. Everything was inked and water colored using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a small water brush. The images are so pretty. I am obsessed with the trees!

The next few images are some close ups, because I know you all are going to want to see everything! There are two different sized trees, and each tree is made up on one tree trunk stamp and three different foliage layering stamps. Genius! The lady and the dog are part of the Hand in Hand set. There is also a man and two children! I used the Pathway stencil to make the walkway they are on. It's a two step stencil.

The dies cut a clean, perfect edge. I stamped everything using Archival Black Ink on the lady and the dog. The rest is all Distress Inks.

I used a cloud stencil to make one row of blue clouds at the top. The sentiment was stamped onto a thin strip of vellum and layered around the card, and under the tree.

Here are some step out photos for you! I stamped the tree trunk in brown Distress Ink onto watercolor paper. (Everything is stamped onto watercolor paper for this card). After I stamped it I used a brush to gently move the ink around on the page. Tip – Stamp the tree trunk first, and then use the trunk to line up your die cut. Cut it out, and then use the outline to line up the foliage!

See the difference just a bit of water makes? It really looks water colored!!

I added the first layer of foliage in the lightest green and softened it with water…

Then I stamped the other two colors of green and softened those colors with water as well. Tip – let each color dry completely before doing the next color.

Here is the stenciled portion only. I inked it with a sponge dauber and Distress Inks. Then I splattered a bit of ink over it to look liked aged stones.

I added some bits of green to 'ground' the stone walkway…

Now, those of you that have followed my blog for a while know that I LOVE FALL!! So, of course, I had to make an Autumn tree!! I did the same technique as above, but in shades of yellow, orange and red Distress Inks! This card is also an A2 size. I die cut an oval and used an old text stamp to stamp words across the bottom of the oval. This would be a good sympathy card, or masculine card. I purposely left off a sentiment so I can use it for any occasion.

Just a small strip of pretty orange gingham paper makes this card complete. The edges of the oval were inked with brown Distress Inks for an antique feeling.

A very clean and simple card design – but that tree makes a huge impact!

My third card for today is a colorful umbrella card with lots of white space. I stamped the umbrellas onto watercolor paper and colored them with Distress Inks. This is an A2 card, and the base is made from Neenah Solar White cardstock. This umbrella image is part of the Hand in Hand stamp set.

Each umbrella is attached to the card (in rainbow order of course) with foam tape. I added a few raindrop gems to finish off the card. The sentiment was stamped onto a banner.
