  • The Greetery – Tags & Toasts – New Release Reveal!

Hi everybody! How's your week going so far? I hope you're having a great one! I've been busy in the studio a lot this week trying to get some pretty things made to share with you! And, today is a very exciting day! It's new release reveal day for The Greetery! This new release is called Tags & Toasts! Love it! It's a smaller release with two main product suites: Tag Team Duo and Year In Year Out. The new release will be live tomorrow, Friday November 12th at 10am EST! The Tag Team Duo line has stamps, dies, hot foil plates and stencils – everything works together to make gorgeous tags!! (I could have made 100 tags – so many ideas!) The Year In Year Out line has a fantastic 2022 die cut that you can use for New Year's cards and also for 2022 Graduations!! It also has stamps and stencils. I think you're gonna love it all! So happy to be part of the team today!

First up – my tags! I used the Tag Team Duo Dies, Stamps and Stencils to make four Christmas tags. I used the same classic color palette for all four and I think these would make a nice boxed gift for someone. I love kraft, red, and black together. Something cozy and homey about those colors together. And pops of green and gingham too….  I always seem to need a tag for a gift or a bottle of wine…. These came together easily and quickly and what a fun time too!

Here are all four of my tags together. I also used a few previously release stamps and dies – that you probably recognize! All the supplies are listed at the bottom of my post!

The greenery and such is all stamping and the stripes and dots are stencils! LOVE IT. I die cut my tags from kraft cardstock. I die cut two for each tag and glued them together to make my tags nice and sturdy. I did the stamping in red and green first. Then I went over the stamping using the stencils. I inked harder on the edges and softer over the stamped parts. I kinda like how this turned out. For the tops, I used a small stitched circle die cut in red. A few splatters of ink…. The sentiments are all heat embossed in white onto black cardstock.

One of my tried and true favorite ways to wrap a present is in kraft paper with twine and greenery. I think it's just lovely – and perfect for anyone.

Next up today is my card made using the Year In Year Out supplies! I created a bright and happy New Year Card! Black, gold and teal – oh so pretty!! The finished card is an A2 teal card base. I layered one layer of white cardstock and then the pretty festive supplies. I used the Year In Year Out 2022 Die Cut, the 2022 Stencils and the Year In Year Out stamp set. I also used the wonderful Pinwheel Party Stencils and Dies.

It’s been my pleasure to help introduce the Christmas Time Collection. I have two more projects today to show you!

NEW PRODUCTS ARE LIVE IN THE GREETERY STORE ON

    THURSDAY 10/7 AT 10am EST!!

My first card today features the Bake It Merry Product Suite! Stamps and Dies that are all about a baking theme! The stamps remind me of the S’mores stamps released last year – same fun look to them. Tiny cookies and oven mitts and rolling pin. EEK so cute! My card is an A2 woodgrain card base, layered with gingham (of course) and white. I kept a fresh color palette by using red, white and blue…with just one pop of green! The tiny cookies are my favorite!

They really do look like sugar cookies!!! I put some vellum down on my cookie sheet (parchment paper!!) and die cut a little baby spatula. LOVE.

I decided to make a bright red Christmas oven!! I decorated it with white embossed accents and a little bit of holly too. The front of the oven (the door) opens, and the top opens up also. I’ll show you in my photos. You can tuck in some sweet candies!

  • The Greetery – Christmas Time Collection – Day 1!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I am BURSTING with excitement about this week's blog posts…. Because it's release week for The Greetery! Yahooooo! There will be three days of inspiration and product reveals and projects this time! The new release is called Christmas Time! OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY are you in for a treat. Betsy has outdone herself with the new designs and it was a complete joy to create cards and projects to show you. It is my honor to help introduce all the wonderful new items! So….we will have blog posts Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then the products will go live for shopping Thursday morning at 10am EST. Mark your calendars and set the alarms my friends!

Today the design team is introducing Winterberry Bouquet, Cathedral Dies and Stencils, Pine Wisp Dies, Abundant Joy Dies, Opposites Attract Holiday and more! It's all what I would call "classic Christmas" and it's all gorgeous. So let's get started!

First up is a card I made using the new Cathedral Dies, Pine Wisp Dies, and Opposites Attract. I also used some previously released items that I love: Snowflake Soiree and With Love at Christmas. My finished card is a 5" x 5" square card base make from kraft cardstock. My layer is cream cardstock and then the feature elements…

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

So, I love it when word stamps have matching dies! It's so polished and clean looking. I used the joyeux noel stamps and dies for my sentiment because the cathedral window reminded me of Notre Dame – I went with a French theme! LOL. The noel is heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here's a close up of the new Pine Wisp Dies. PERFECTION. I die cut several out of cardstock and used Distress inks to color them brown and green. Kind of a water color effect. I used a water brush.

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I used the gorgeous Snowflake Soiree Stencils for this background. I only used two colors of ink – because I wanted it to be icy and blue. I also splattered on a good amount of snow (white paint)!

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I die cut the Cathedral Window Die Cut from dark brown woodgrain cardstock (supplies are listed at the bottom of my post). I used an embossing dabber and dabbed embossing ink randomly onto the die cut. Then I sprinkled gold embossing powder and made it messy with my finger. Once I heated it, it gave this nice patina of old wood!! I really like how this came out. I backed the cathedral window with vellum and it was attached to the card with foam tape.

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here's a close up of the top of the card. Poinsettias, Pines, and a big gold bow. Christmas goodness.

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

My second card today features the new Winterberry Bouquet stamp/stencil combo and the new Abundant Joy Dies. Again….classic Christmas! OH MY WORD. The results of this stenciling are fantastic!! My finished card is an A2 red card base, layered with woodgrain paper and then a postage die cut.

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

The new Abundant Joy Dies have a decorated layer and a border layer. Here I used silver cardstock and vellum. There is also a Hot Foiling plate the same design. Love.

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I stenciled and stamped the big bouquet image and die cut it out with the matching die. It fills up the entire front of the A2 card. I love that. I ink blended a bluish background for the die cut image to 'rest' on. I think it makes it pop off the page more.

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

This is soooooo pretty in person!!!!

the greetery, christmas time collection, christmas release, new release, winter, holiday, the greetery stamps and dies, winterberry bouquet, stencils, stamps, dies, christmas cards, cathedral die, pine wisps, abundand joy die, hot foil, opposites attract, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I attached the die cut to the card with foam tape. A nice flat card to mass produce for Christmas cards I think!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again…. I have fully jumped on the Stencil train, and it has left the station! This stencil set is GORGEOUS! The green leaves are a stamp, then the rest of the image is all stenciling. I used orange, yellow and red to make a Fall bouquet. It's so easy to get good results. The stencils line up perfectly and I used my Blender Brushes to add the colors. You can see I did some shading with two colors on the petals.

Next up is my happy, not scary, Halloween Card. I used traditional colors of black, orange and white, accented with some purple and green. The finished card is an A2 card base. I used the new Full Circle Halloween stamp set and the great Layer It Pumpkins dies (hint – I used them in card #3 too)! I layered black, white and gingham papers for more fun.

I used the layer it pumpkins dies and the new Jack-o-Lantern cutting plate (to make the faces)…. OMG these two things together are perfection!!! I used distress inks over colored cardstock to make the shading on the pumpkins. I splattered on some ink too. Aren't they adorable??!!

My final card for today was inspired by my very own home decorations! I have tons of pumpkins around the house – all types – felt, sweater, real, fake, tweed, etc. etc. So I got the idea – wonder if I can make a paper sweater pumpkin?! I think I succeeded!! This finished card is an A2 cream card base. I created it to look like my home! Wallpaper, and a table full of pumpkins!

I used the very same pumpkin dies as in the Halloween card above!! These are a great staple product for fall time.

To create the sweater pumpkin I die cut the pumpkin from cream cardstock. Then I ran it through the cable knit embossing folder! Voila! It came out just right! I also made some pretty felt pumpkins using the best felt!!! (Supplies are at the bottom of my post)

I used a stencil to make some 'wallpaper' behind the pumpkin scene….then stamped my sentiment in brown ink. I wrapped some twine around the top layered pieces and used a bit of orange gingham to finish it!! I felt like the pumpkins needed some definition so I used Copic Markers to color directly onto the felt. It worked out just fine.

  • Pretty Pink Posh – Autumn Greetings!

Hi everyone! Guess what today is? Officially the FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN 2021! Yayyyyy! Happy Fall Y'all! I'm giddy with excitement that my favorite season has finally arrived! Sunday morning we went to a local antique fair and we went out early in the morning….the air was crisp and cool and fresh….and it felt like Fall. And there were big poofy clouds. Thank you Jesus I exclaimed! After the hot dry summer we've had here, what a relief to feel some fresh air. Football has started, we already went to the apple orchards and our house is wall to wall decorated with Fall decor. Life is good today! I hope you're having a good week. Lots going on right now!

Today I'm participating in a big Instagram Hop to feature the new September release from Pretty Pink Posh. If you have Instagram, be sure to head over and leave comments for a chance to win a prize! I'm sharing the same card here today – as on Instagram.

My card features the new Fall Corners Stamp Set. I tucked it into the Easter Basket Die and added a sweet scarecrow! The finished card is a white A2 card base. I layered some olive/white gingham (very old from my stash), some kraft, and then white. I used lots of Copics to color this scene with really vivid colors.

Such a cute guy! Tip: I chose my patterned paper first and then matched the green in his shirt and the leaves – for a cohesive color palette. This is one way to bring your cards to another level. Two different greens would have looked nice, but I feel like this looks planned and matching. I put a cute little acorn tucked into his hat.

  • The Greetery – Leaf and Blade Collection for Autumn 2021!

Hi everyone!!! Are you ready for a new release from The Greetery?! I know I am!! No doubt about that! I am sharing three cards today, made with supplies from the fabulous Leaf & Blade Collection! All the pretty things for Fall and Autumn occasions! Stamps, Dies, Stencils…and hot foiling too! It's all very pretty and very classy – just as you would expect from The Greetery. I used shades of Fall and warm color palettes for all my projects today – and that makes me very happy! Yippee!

Everything will be available for shopping in The Greetery Store on September 10th at 10am EST!! YAY!!

The first card is FALL on paper! The finished card is a kraft card base that is 5" x 5" square. I used the brand new Rustic Wreath stamps and dies along with the Fall Foliage Hot Foil plate and dies….and the new Autumn Word die!! Oh, and for good measure, I also used the gorgeous Tartan Builder Stencils in gold and orange….

The Rustic Wreath Dies are BEAUTIFUL!! I die cut them from woodgrain cardstock and splashed everything with gold paint! The Autumn Word is die cut from dark woodgrain cardstock and vellum…. So elegant. My layers are: Kraft, Brown, Cream, Plaid, Cream…. LOTS of layers on this card. I love it!

Here's a good close up of the dies…. See how it's designed?? The bottom die serves as a template for the twig dies to lay on – so you get a perfect wreath. Genius I tell ya!

Once my wreath was assembled, I added a brown bow with a shimmery golden enamel dot in the center. I wanted a leaf sprig in there too… I used the new Fall Foliage Hot Foil plate to make the leaves sparkle. I wanted to see how the hot foiling would look on textured cardstock – and it came out better than I had hoped!! I used matte gold foil onto the AC cardstock. This is super pretty in person!

Next up is a pretty Autumn Curio! I was really hoping that Betsy would do a Curio Dies set for Autumn…and she did! Yeah! This finished card is a kraft card base and then layered with some patterned paper from my stash. All of the elements were die cut and then edged with Distress Inks and accented with white gel pen…. SO MUCH FUN to make this card. Truly joyful crafting!

For my last card, I used the new Fall Foliage Stamps and Dies to make a bright and fresh Fall card! The finished card is an A2 white card base. I layered in a bit of orange gingham and then a white layer, and white circle to use as a frame for the leaves.

  • Hero Arts September 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit! Cheerful Sunflowers!

Hey there crafty people!!! I'm sharing something yellow and bright today – sunflowers! MORE sunflowers! Yes, seems like we are all loving sunflowers this year! What is more cheerful and happy than that? Um, not much! Today I'm in an awesome blog hop to celebrate the new Hero Arts My Monthly Hero September Card Kit! So happy to be hopping today with the Hero Arts crew!!

The September My Monthly Hero kit celebrates the pleasures associated with the arrival of Autumn and the end of Summer. From cool, crisp days with blowing leaves, to wonderful fall blooms and pumpkins galore, this release and kit will get you in the mood for the changing season. The main kit features a big, beautiful sunflower image, which can easily be colored with the layering stencils, inks and brush also included. Two useful message dies in a lovely font round out the kit. And a matching die cut that makes card making a breeze. CLICK HERE to see all the details about the kit and add-ons. The kit has a value of $87.00 but it sells for $34.99! An excellent value.

I used the main kit for my card! I used the stencils with the matching die to create and cut that bold cluster of flowers – that take up most of the card!! So lovely. My finished card is an A2 white card base. I layered some teal and then more white. The flowers are the star of the show.

I started by stenciling the Sunflower Stencils (there are five of them that layer perfectly) with Distress Inks and the blending brushes. Then I die cut it out with the matching die. I splattered the whole piece with white ink!! I added brown gems for a bit of sparkle….

It's a big blog hop, with lots of prizes. Be sure to read to the bottom of my post!! Thanks for being here!

My first card for today has a cheerful retro feeling to it. I used shades of pink, mint and aqua to mimic the Christmas cards of the 1950's…. Soft and pretty! My finished card is an A2 card base in cream cardstock. I used the Diagonal Stripes background die and then the top features the brand new Holiday Ornaments Stencils and Dies…. (I am quickly becoming a big stenciling fan!!)

    Pinkfresh Studio Blog Hop

The sentiment is from another new stamp set: Under the Christmas Tree! I loved just putting a simple sentiment on this card!!

pinkfresh studio, stamps , dies, hot foil, crafts, cards, Pinkfresh Studio Christmas release, Holiday Christmas cards, stencils, Ornaments, diy christmas cards, card ideas, card layouts, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I started by choosing my pastel ink colors – and stenciling the ornaments and the pine boughs. Then I used the matching die cuts to cut them out so precisely! I used Antique Linen Distress Ink to gently 'age' the ornaments and the top cream layer. The small yellow starbursts are also on the stencils!! Easy to place them wherever you like.

I used two pine boughs in shades of cool green. I splattered some white paint 'snow' onto everything! Very festive!

Next up is another Christmas card, featuring beautiful stencils! This one in traditional red and green with a pop of silver! I used the Holiday Botanical Stencils to create the pretty greenery frame. The finished card is a red A2 card base.

I stenciled all the different colors using the layering stencils and then die cut out the stenciled paper using a stitched rectangle die. I layered some vellum and then a red circle as my paper layers.

I used the new Perfect Sentiments: Holidays Hot Foil plate (with silver foil) and die cut the words out with the matching dies! LOOOOVE!!! LOVE. LOVE. So fresh!! I die cut several snowflakes from silver glitter cardstock to make it nice and icy.

(The Greetery Inspiration Friday) My husband and I love to go to Farmers Markets in the Summertime. We are very lucky to have a lot of great markets nearby (we live in Northern California) and it's so nice to be out in the cool mornings choosing fresh produce and flowers. The past two weeks at all the markets there have been peaches, peaches, peaches everywhere! So I was inspired to make a peachy keen card to share with you today. We are even going to a Peach Festival on Sunday! So this card just seems appropriate! I hope you are having a gorgeous Summer day where you are!

This is a big, square card. The finished size is 5.5" x 5.5" and I made the card base by folding and scoring a sheet of Neenah cardstock. I knew I wanted to balance the orange/yellow of the peaches with blue… Orange and Blue are opposites on the color wheel so they always look great together. I used the brand new Jumbo Jar along with those gorgeous Peaches released last year… All the stamps and dies are from The Greetery of course!

I stamped and die cut out several peaches using the Peachy Keen Stamp Set and matching Dies. I also stamped and die cut out several leaf clusters. I used the brand new Jumbo Jar Die Cut to make a mason jar for my fresh peaches. The lid is made from Silver metallic cardstock.

I stamped the "you're a" stamp from the Just Peachy Sentiments stamp set – and heat embossed it in white onto black cardstock. I die cut the word "peach" from white cardstock and inked an ombre effect using the two ink colors from the peaches. I used vellum as the background. I tried a LOT of color combinations to get the peaches the color I wanted!! (All the ink colors are listed in the supplies). I finally found the right balance of yellow and orange…

I used the beautiful Fit To Be Tied dies to make a Kraft paper bow for the top of the jar. I splashed and splattered some white paint over the peaches, leaves and background. I assembled the jar, peaches and leaves and set that aside so I could make the sentiments.

I used the Square Dance Stencils to create the background. I only used one shade of ink – and all three stencils – to get a monochromatic gingham look. It's really fresh and pretty. Those stencils are a dream.

I arranged the peaches inside the jar first and then tucked the leaves in afterwards to get the right balance of orange and green.

  • Taylored Expressions – Merry Blooms Card Kit Launch!

Hey howdy hi hello greetings! Oh, and Merry Christmas! What?! I'm here today to introduce the newest card kit from Taylored Expressions and it's called Merry Blooms! It's Christmas in July! It's a GORGEOUS stamp and stencil combo that makes a poinsettia border….then beautiful sentiments and die cuts, and envelopes, and pearls, and much more! So officially we have the first Christmas card of 2021! The kit is available now for shopping and shipping! The Cherry Kit from last month is also still available (I'm shocked that one didn't sell out)…. CLICK HERE to head over to the TE Store!

How was your weekend? I have a story for you! We were having an awesome weekend…. Friday night we went to see some live music and went out for coffee and had a great evening. Saturday we got up early and went to the awesome Farmers Market and listened to more music and bought goodies (and more coffee of course)…Then we did errands and shopping. We tried a new pizza place for lunch – cute casual place. We parked on the street right in front of the big window at the restaurant and were enjoying our meal… Well, we heard this HUMONGOUS CRASH and saw something flying. I knew it was a car accident. I leapt up from my seat to go see how I could help. Well, guess what? It was MY CAR! A big Pepsi Delivery truck smashed into my parked car and the entire front end flew off. Like the entire bumper laying in the street, and bits and pieces everywhere!!!!!! My poor car! I yelled many obscenities. Then switched over to gratitude. If I had been entering or exiting the driver's side I would surely have been killed. That's how hard he hit the car. The driver was rude, but he stopped and gave me his information. So this week I 'get' to experience insurance claim land…. (For those that don't know, I worked in the insurance industry for almost 30 years) Needless to say we had to stop all the fun-ness and head on home. I hope your weekend was not nearly as exciting as mine!!!

Okay, enough with the stories, let's take a look at my card made with the new Merry Blooms Card Kit! You guys know I love a vintage vibe at Christmas so I went rustic and vintage with my card. I was kind of pressed for time and I wish I could have made more cards!! My finished card is an A2 horizontal card base made from woodgrain paper. The top layer is cream cardstock. I used Distress Ink pads for my stamping and stenciling. (All the supplies are listed at the bottom of this post)

This is a one layer card, so I popped up the top layer with foam tape for some interest and dimension. Here's a close up of the beautiful stencil design. The lines in the flowers and leaves and the flower centers were added with the matching stamps after I stenciled the design. It's soooo pretty.

The matching dies for the sentiments are an add-on to the kit and I really recommend getting those! I love how crisp it looks when the sentiment is popped up off the card. The sentiment set has several large sentiments and then matching small sentiments. Love that look. My sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder onto cream cardstock.

I inked the edges of the card panel with Distress Inks to give a vintage vibe. Then, as I'm know to do, I splashed gold paint all over it! LOVE how elegant it looks with those pretty poinsettias.

  • Taylored Expressions Very Cherry Card Kit Launch!

Hellloooooooo! I have something super fun to share with you today! The newest card kit from Taylored Expressions launches today! Yippeee! It's called Very Cherry….and it is VERY cherry! And very cheery too! I love all the TE card kits, but I'm thinking that this one has moved up to my top favorite! It's so happy and perfect for Summer stamping! There are stamps, dies, stencils and more! I ended up making three cards – but I could have made ten right away! I'm sharing my cards today with you and the kit is available for purchase now! I wouldn't wait on this one because it will definitely sell out fast! Hmmmm, now I want cherry pie! LOL.

First up is this fun card in which I used almost everything from the kit! The finished card is A2 sized white card base. I used traditional red and green for the cherries and then stenciled in some pretty light blue hearts. I love how the stencil is perfectly aligned with the cherry pattern! Genius!

taylored expressions, card kit, te card kit, very cherry card kit, cherry stamps, stencils, die cuts, cards, polychromos on kraft, card ideas, cherry background stamp, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here's a close up of my layers…. Vellum and bright white! I used the background stamp with my MISTI in black and then used the matching smaller stamps to fill in the cherries and leaves with red and two shades of green. It was SO fast to fill in the colors. I stamped the inside portion off center for more of a graphic look.

I die cut a stitched rectangle and stamped the sentiment onto it. I stamped and die cut a cherry cluster and used foam tape to mount it onto the rectangle. Before attaching it to my card I used twine around it for a little more pop!

taylored expressions, card kit, te card kit, very cherry card kit, cherry stamps, stencils, die cuts, cards, polychromos on kraft, card ideas, cherry background stamp, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

    You're so sweet!!

For this next card I wanted to make some pink cherries! This is definitely a vision in pink! LOL. The finished card is an A2 card base layered with pink paper, some gingham from my stash and more white layers. I used the beautiful scalloped circle that comes in the kit as my focal point.

I simply adore the font in this kit for all the sentiments!

I added a couple of tiny red hearts to finish off this card. Mwah.

Last, but not least, is this third card where I used Polychromos Colored Pencils on Kraft! One of my favorite coloring techniques! This finished card is an A2 card size made from cream paper covered in gingham paper.

taylored expressions, card kit, te card kit, very cherry card kit, cherry stamps, stencils, die cuts, cards, polychromos on kraft, card ideas, cherry background stamp, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I stamped the background cherry stamp in white pigment ink onto Toffee Cardstock using my MISTI. I stamped it twice for a nice clean impression. I set it aside to dry for a couple of hours while I was working on other things. It's important to let the white ink dry before coloring – otherwise it will smear. I stamped another panel so I could cut the small cherry clusters out to match. There's a lot of cherries happening on this card! My sentiment was stamped on kraft and then layered with red and set at a diagonal on my card.

taylored expressions, card kit, te card kit, very cherry card kit, cherry stamps, stencils, die cuts, cards, polychromos on kraft, card ideas, cherry background stamp, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I love how creamy the Polychromos are on the cardstock. SOOOOO fun to color this way.

  • Taylored Expressions Butterfly Wishes Card Kit Launch!

Hi friends! I have exciting news today! There's a brand new, beautiful, awesome card kit launching today from Taylored Expressions! The Butterfly Wishes Card Kit is sooooo gooooood! I made two cards to share with you today, made with the kit. The kit has a large background stamp, two smaller stamp sets, a set of stencils, dies, envelopes, seals and MORE! You're going to love it! And it features one of my new fav things – stamp + stencil combos. It was really easy to get beautiful results and you can you any colors!! Woot! CLICK HERE to shop the new kit at the TE Store. Now, let's look at some cards!

This first card was inspired by the colors of the graphics for the actual kit. Pretty shades of yellow, aqua and coral… My finished card is an A2 white card base, then layered with dark aqua, then my stenciled/stamped panel…

To start this card, I used the large background stamp to stamp the butterfly bodies and heat emboss them in gold… SO FRESH!! I used my MISTI to get a nice clean impression. I also gold heat embossed the sentiment so it would all go nicely together.

The matching stencils (There are TWO) go right on top of those embossed bodies. That way you can do a completely different color for the top and bottom of each butterfly. I chose to do them the same, but I did use two colors or ink to get the shading closer to the bodies. I also splattered gold paint on top of everything (you know me!). It's very easy to get the stencils lined up perfectly – see how nice it looks?? LOVE!

This second card is also an A2 white card base. I wanted this set of butterflies to look like monarchs so I used shades of black, yellow, gold and orange. I also used the tiny accent stamps to add black over the stenciled parts!

This new release is just what you would think – GORGEOUS florals!!! I am still loving the stamp/die/stencil combo of products that make it so simple to get amazing results. Today's card of mine features the Folk Garden suite of products, in a fresh spring color palette. All the prizes, discounts, and links are at the bottom of my post – so be sure to read through to the end.

My finished card is an A2 white card base – then layers of soft blue, vellum, and more crisp white. I love building layers to frame pretty flowers….

The flowers are all ONE big stamp!! I stamped the stamp in black ink with my MISTI. Then I used Pinkfresh Inks in blues and mint greens and the matching stencils and stenciled the color onto the flowers. The die cut cuts ALL the flowers at once! Then you can leave them as the are on the stamp, or move them around like I did and create floral sprays anywhere on your card. I stamped and die cut the sentiment in matching blue inks.

Hi friends! Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio February New Release Blog Hop! There are a lot of us in the blog hop today and it's going to be so much fun! We are celebrating a gorgeous new release from our friends at Pinkfresh Studio. All of the new products are available for shopping now in the Pinkfresh Studio Store. I used the brand new Choose Hope stamp/die/stencil combo and the AMAZING new Curvy Leaves dies…and the new Happy Birthday sentiments. You can never make enough birthday cards, right?! I created a feminine pink and green floral – perfect for the coming of the new season.

My finished card is an A2 white card base. I stamped directly onto the front of the card base using the Diamonds Background Stamp and pretty pink ink. Then I used the Ornate Banner Dies to layer pink and white cardstock…

And the star of the show is the beautiful floral spray in pink and green…. This was colored with stencils!! Three stencils for the flowers and two stencils for the leaves. I am loving this trend – perfect for if you don't have a ton of markers or just feel more comfortable with stencils. It was super easy to line up everything and get the pretty watercolor effect. I stamped the flower spray and stenciled it, then die cut it out with the matching die. I splattered some bright white paint over everything and set it aside to dry.

  • Thanksgiving Blessings and pretty leaves!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I'm back! Did you miss me at all? I sure missed you, and missed blogging here with you! I haven't posted since Halloween. I'm pretty sure this is the longest I've gone in 11 years without blogging. I didn't know I needed a break, but evidently I did. It naturally happened, a little break from stamping like a crazy woman. I've been generally feeling a creative block and that's okay. It happens from time to time and I've learned over the years to just go with it. Focus on something else and let my brain rest. So instead of stamping, I've been cross stitching and decorating my house and watching a lot of tv with my husband…and cooking…. Other creative pursuits! I finished my Halloween stitching and started a cute snowman stitch. Usually I am a holdout for decorating for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving, but this year it's already full on Winter Wonderland here. I dunno. Just made me happy and cozy this year to put up the lights and sparkly Christmas things. A lot of my friends have said they're decorating early this year too. We must all be ready for the joy of Christmas time. 2020 has been a ride!

It finally rained here last Friday and it was awesome! We went out in it and drove around and enjoyed the wet weather. My birthday happened on the 3rd. I think this is my first birthday ever that we've spent it at home. We ordered a pizza and hung out here. Just was weird with it being election day and everything. Normally we like to take a little Fall trip around my birthday. But, like everything else this year, um no. It's cancelled too. I'm praying that all of you reading this are doing well and staying healthy and happy. As we move into the holidays I just want to again thank you for following along with me and for all of your kindness throughout this year. XOXO

Now, onto some crafting! I woke up this morning and went in the craft room and got out my bin of 'not used yet' things. Well, this beautiful stamp/stencil combo from Taylored Expressions jumped right on out at me. And I thought – YES! A Thanksgiving card is just the thing for today! So I stamped this, photographed it and posted it all in the same day! That hardly ever happens! But it feels nice to be in the moment with you today. I am resisting the urge to make all the Christmas things but I may just give in on that too! LOL. But first, one more card with leaves….

One of the big trends for the past year in stamping/crafting is the invention of Stamp/Die/Stencil Combo products. I LOOOOOVE this trend! And no one is doing it better than Taylored Expressions!! As soon as I saw this stamp/stencil combo (Fall Foliage) I knew I had to have it! I used it to make the background for today's card. It's a stamp of the stems/veins and then three stencils to layer on top to do the colored leaves. It's freakin genius!!! And SO super easy to get perfect results!! The finished card is an A2 card base. The large stamp is bigger than A2 size so you can trim it to whatever size you like. Step out photos are later in the post. I gold embossed the leaf stems and the beautiful sentiment for that warm glow of Thanksgiving….

EEKS. Like seriously, how pretty is this???

I cut the leaf panel with my new Deckle Edge Trimmer (LOOOOVE) and layered it twice onto woodgrain paper from my stash. The sentiment was embossed onto vellum and wrapped across the front of the card. I added an orange heart to add another pop of color under the vellum. A little bit of twine and some clear dots finished it off. The leaves are the star of the show on this card.

Here's a close up of that pretty Deckled Edge. It looks like an old photograph. I'm obsessed with it already! The trimmer has been on my wish list since January when I got to try it out at Creativation. It's finally available! So I bought it asap!!! CLICK HERE to see what I'm talking about!!

Here are the three stencils you use to make three different leaf shapes. If you look closely you can see some embossed veins in the plastic stencil. These are what you use to perfectly line up the stencils. Genius.

  • Fun with Photoplay Stamps for Fall and Halloween!

Hi there!! Popping in to share even MORE Fall and Halloween projects today! Today I'm featuring the brand new, awesome, HUGE release from Photoplay Paper called Say it with Stamps! Behind the scenes I've been consulting with the lovely people at Photoplay about this new release. Lucky me!! I've been waiting for it to come to fruition and hit the front porch for months! So happy to finally share with you. There are tons of new stamps and dies…and stencils…and cards and envelopes…. And, several of the products are meant for making the newest crafting rage – Slimline Cards. Today I have two slimline cards to show you and one spooky idea…

You can buy PHOTOPLAY PAPER at Simon Says Stamp or you can buy PHOTOPLAY PAPER at Scrapbook.com. I hope you will click over and take a peek. I know you will find something(s) you love. I am especially loving the new stencils and the Slimline dies… All my supplies are listed HERE.

First up is a Fall Blessings card made using a wonderful two step stencil with Distress Inks and some of the new dies. The finished card is a #6 size: 3.5" x 6.25" made from kraft cardstock.

Photoplay Paper Say it with Stamps! Stamps and dies. Slimline card ideas. Fall Cards. Leaf Stencils. Blessings card. Thanksgiving, Autumn. DIY Crafts. Wanda Guess

The sentiment was die cut once from brown textured cardstock and then again for the outline with vellum. I used the Notebook Banner Die to make the smaller sentiment. Here's a close up!

Photoplay Paper Say it with Stamps! Stamps and dies. Slimline card ideas. Fall Cards. Leaf Stencils. Blessings card. Thanksgiving, Autumn. DIY Crafts. Wanda Guess

The Notebook die has a beautiful edge on it. I was so impressed with the quality of all the stamps and dies. The dies cut nice and crisp on heavy cardstock and the stamps gave me a perfect impression right from the package. Here you can also see the detail of the leaf stencil… I used small sponge daubers and my favorite Distress Inks…. You stencil the lighter color first and then go back and use the second stencil to do the darker half of the leaves. I really think this is so pretty and classic Fall.

My finishing touches were a bit of natural twine and some gold paint splatters… I used the decorative border dies to make that nice scalloped edge.

Next up are some sweet and crazy Halloween friends! I used the packaged Slimline #6 cards and envelopes for this card. I used the #6 rectangle windows to frame my images. Everything was colored with Copics…

I love this trick or treat sentiment die. I cut it into three pieces to fit inside my window with that spider…. I added Stickles to all the images too. The frames were die cut from gray cardstock and splattered with white paint for visual interest.

Photoplay Paper Say it with Stamps and dies. Halloween Card. Slimline card ideas. Copic coloring Halloween. Rectangle cut outs. Fun DIY Halloween. Wanda Guess

Halloween colors are so fun! Black, orange, purple and green!!

Photoplay Paper Say it with Stamps and dies. Halloween Card. Slimline card ideas. Copic coloring Halloween. Rectangle cut outs. Fun DIY Halloween. Wanda Guess

I stamped on the matching envelope to make the card more cheery in the mail!! I really like the prepackaged cards and envelopes – great way to keep on crafting and not have to stop and make card bases!! Love that.

Photoplay Paper Say it with Stamps and dies. Halloween Card. Slimline card ideas. Copic coloring Halloween. Rectangle cut outs. Fun DIY Halloween. Wanda Guess

And my last spooky project for today…something unexpected! A spiderweb latte! I love latte art, but I cannot do it! So I made my own art on my homemade coffee using the cool Cobwebs stencil!! I carefully laid the stencil over the top of my foam and sprinkled cinnamon over it! Voila! You can do this as a fun treat for your Halloween party! Some spiders from the Halloween Store and you're all set.

Thanks for stopping by on this Monday morning!! I hope that you will check out the Photoplay new release. Have you been making Slimline cards yet? I have been making them a lot!! I seem to like the mini ones best. But the larger #9 Slimline gives you a lot of real estate to work with when you're crafting… Have a wonderful week, everyone! XOXO

  • The Greetery – TGIF – Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Howdy hello and salutations! I'm sharing here today on my blog and also over on The Greetery Blog for TGIF! (The Greetery Inspiration Friday!)  Today I'm sharing two of my favorite things! Coffee and Fall! I do so love a good Pumpkin Spice Latte, and that's what I have made for you today. You might just be receiving your goodies from the Merry Makings release last week, so I want to give you some more inspiration for using the Hug in a Mug stamps and dies. I am always inspired by Fall colors. This project would be so cute as a favor for a girls coffee date or your Thanksgiving table. Thanks for joining me on this beautiful Fall Friday. So excited to show you this project. The idea actually came to me in my sleep Friday night! Ha. Does that happen to you?

Here is my sweet little Pumpkin Spice Latte! All decked out for Fall! I used the new Hug in a Mug suite of stamps and dies and some older Greetery items too. A bit of this and that…stencils, stamps, ink blending….so much fun.

The Greetery Hug in a Mug stamps and dies. 3D coffee cup dies, Treat ideas, Fall crafting, pumpkin spice latte, paper crafting, stamping, treat favors and boxes. Thanksgiving and Autumn. Wanda Guess

My coffee mug was made with orange cardstock and the saucer was made from cream cardstock using the Hug in a Mug dies and the Saucer dies. I stamped the plaid border at the top of the mug, and stamped the latte art on the top using the Hug in a Mug stamp set. After the mug pieces were cut out I used the beautiful Berry Branch stencil, a blender brush, and Crackling Campfire Distress Ink to make a pretty leaf design onto it! I also brushed a bit of the ink onto the bottom of the handle for an ombre effect. I stamped the sentiment on the front in brown ink and added a wee heart too.

The Greetery Hug in a Mug stamps and dies. 3D coffee cup dies, Treat ideas, Fall crafting, pumpkin spice latte, paper crafting, stamping, treat favors and boxes. Thanksgiving and Autumn. Wanda Guess

I glued the mug handles together, glued the steam pieces together, and glued the mug together and set that aside to dry. I always use a glue pen for putting together my 3D dies. For the saucer I used cream cardstock. I again used my blender brush and ink (Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink) to gently ink the outer edges of the saucer. I glued the saucer together. Next, I die cut the Coaster Die from gingham patterned paper.

The Greetery Hug in a Mug stamps and dies. 3D coffee cup dies, Treat ideas, Fall crafting, pumpkin spice latte, paper crafting, stamping, treat favors and boxes. Thanksgiving and Autumn. Wanda Guess

I put some sweet pumpkin candies inside as a treat for the recipient. Some coffee candies would be sweet too. You could add a small gift, some sweets, or whatever little trinkets your heart desires. I have so many more ideas!!

The Greetery Hug in a Mug stamps and dies. 3D coffee cup dies, Treat ideas, Fall crafting, pumpkin spice latte, paper crafting, stamping, treat favors and boxes. Thanksgiving and Autumn. Wanda Guess

I splattered everything with gold watercolor ink! I used one of my favorite stamp sets to add the little seasonal embellishment on the top – the Top Down Day Autumn stamp set. I stamped the pumpkin/leaves image and die cut it with the matching dies. I cut a small slit on the left side of the image so it would fit over the edge of the mug. I used Stickles Diamond Glitter to add shine to the pumpkins and the steam.

The Greetery Hug in a Mug stamps and dies. 3D coffee cup dies, Treat ideas, Fall crafting, pumpkin spice latte, paper crafting, stamping, treat favors and boxes. Thanksgiving and Autumn. Wanda Guess

I used pumpkin candies in my little treat cup today, but I also love these Nuggets – and they are wrapped in orange! These are hard to find! Maybe I'd better hoard them…

  • The Greetery Merry Makings Collection – Holiday 2020 – Day 2!

Greetings from the North Pole! Not really, but it sure feels like it today! I'm back today to introduce you to more amazing stamps and dies and stencils from the new release from The Greetery! This is day two of our three day launch party for the Merry Makings release. What did you think of yesterday's reveals? Don't you love it all – already? Today I am sharing two more cards and both are icy and snowy and oh so wintery…. We will be showing you new products today and tomorrow (and yesterday) and then the entire release will be available on Friday morning on The Greetery website. Cannot wait!

First up is the next installment to the Destination collection. This stamp and die set is called Destination North Pole!!! It coordinates with the maps and other stamps in the Destination lineup. Think trees and reindeers and igloos and retro yumminess…and you have the North Pole sets. My finished card is an A2 card base. I used cream cardstock for a vintage feel…

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

Oct2020-squareI framed my map scene with the postage dies. I used a pretty simple Christmas color palette of aqua, green and red… Using just three colors really gives a cohesive look and I think – a retro look. I used glitter and distress inks and all that jazz…

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

Isn't this sentiment FABULOUS??? It's a two step stamp process. I used my MISTI and it lined up just perfectly. And then there are small sentiments to accompany the larger one – and there are matching dies. Yes!

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

I used the waterfront map die and ink blended blues, greens and browns onto the map pieces. I edged lots of the pieces with Antique Linen distress ink.

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

I used the pine Botanicuts to add a little spray of greenery up there in the corner of my card.

How sweet is this stamp set??? I'm dying it's so cute.

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

This next card is a big square card with an elegant and classic feeling to it. Navy blue, gold, white and vellum – such a winning combination. I used the beautiful new Snowflake Soiree suite of products: Stencils (like the Pinwheel Party stencils in layers), Dies, and stamps! Everything works together and looks amazing. I used the snowflake stencils on my card from yesterday too.

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

I decided to only use two colors for my snowflake stenciling: White ink and Gold ink. I used sponge daubers to dab the color onto the navy cardstock. It's really pretty in person – that gold ink is brilliant!

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

There are dies for some of the snowflakes so I stenciled another snowflake and die cut it out as an accent piece. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder onto vellum.

The Greetery new release Merry Makings. Holiday 2020 new stamps and dies. Destination North Pole, Christmas, Winter, Holiday. Card ideas. Snowflake Soiree stamps, dies and stencils, Snowflakes. DIY Christmas card ideas. The Greetery Wanda Guess

I splattered some white ink as snow onto the card and then finished off with a few pearls and gold enamel dots. My card layers are also pretty simple: White, gold, navy…
