*** I HAVE TWO BLOG POSTS TODAY! PLEASE SCROLL OR CLICK HERE FOR THE PPP NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP! THANK YOU! ***

Welcome back to day two of the new release reveals for The Greetery!! The New Beginnings release – product reveals yesterday and today – and then release day will be tomorrow March 10th at 10am EST!! Did you love all the projects for Day 1? Oh my goodness – everyone made such beautiful things. I literally cannot pick a favorite item from this release. And I have tons more ideas of things to make – but I ran out of time! Ha! I hope you're inspired to create (and shop) with The Greetery. I have three more cards to show you today and my theme for today is blue! Every card ended up having blue in it today! Flowers and nests and all that good stuff. Thanks for joining me! Let's get started!

THE NEW RELEASE DAY IS FRIDAY MARCH 10TH AT 10AM EST!

First up is a vintage inspired springtime card featuring the brand new Curio Nest and Curio Feathers dies! SO pretty!!! I combined the new dies with lots of other 'old' favorites from my Greetery stash… Pretty Postmarks and Postal Dies and that sweet springtime sentiment… My finished card is an A2 cream card base, layered with woodgrain cardstock, and then a cream postage layer. That gorgeous nest is the star of this show!! I love it so much!

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery new beginnings, the greetery ribbon maker, the greetery curio, the greetery feather, the greetery morning glory, the greetery spring meadow, the greetery spring sprays, stencils, stamps and dies, easter, diy, handmade, easter cards, spring, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

As you know, Betsy has been releasing larger versions of the Curio elements, and this time we get the nest and feathers. Here is a close up of the feathers so you can see all the detail and thought that went into them…. Fantastic!! I die cut out all the pieces from cardstock and then used Distress inks to blend ink onto all of them…

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery new beginnings, the greetery ribbon maker, the greetery curio, the greetery feather, the greetery morning glory, the greetery spring meadow, the greetery spring sprays, stencils, stamps and dies, easter, diy, handmade, easter cards, spring, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here's a close up of my nest… Pretty blue robin eggs… I die cut the eggs from blue cardstock and then splashed on some brown spots…I also ink blended the eggs. This really feels like spring!!

I made some postage stamps with a nature theme to be accents on my vintagey card… And I wrapped a bit of gingham ribbon around the bottom layer to pick up that blue color.

I used all my tricks here…. Paint splatters, ink blending, background stamping….

The sentiment is from the Springtime Stamp Set and the little banner is from the Christmas Time set. I love how the sentiment goes across the card but doesn't take up too much space.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery new beginnings, the greetery ribbon maker, the greetery curio, the greetery feather, the greetery morning glory, the greetery spring meadow, the greetery spring sprays, stencils, stamps and dies, easter, diy, handmade, easter cards, spring, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Next up is a pretty Easter card that features the brand new Botanicuts Morning Glory Dies!! EEEEEP. So pretty!! I used the Square Dance dies in white over green to look like a garden trellis!! The sentiment is from one of my favorite older sets: Comforting Commands. My finished card is an A2 white card based layered with green and white.

I die cut the Morning Glory Dies from blues and greens…. I used a white pencil to add the detail in the center of the flowers. Everything is so easy to layer and put together because of course Betsy includes a guide with our die sets….

    3a blog

The sentiment is also brand new and I die cut it out of gray cardstock and layered with vellum…. I wanted it a bit softer than using black for the sentiment. I used lots of different die sets to make all the elements for this card. It was so much fun to keep adding things!! I kept it cohesive by using the same tone of colors. My supply list is at the bottom of my post…

a blog called wanda, bunny, copic coloring, diy, easter, easter bunny, easter ideas, easter mug additions, handmade, leafy spring wreath, mug, pop up card, Pretty Pink Posh, pretty pink posh easter, pretty pink posh new release, pretty pink posh scallop box card, spring, spring chicks stamp set, spring foliage dies, stamps and dies, stencils, wanda guess

I used lots of foam tape to put everything together – layering elements until I got it just the way I wanted it! I gently ink blended some purple ink on the bottom of the mug to give it some depth. (I can't wait to see what mug additions PPP comes up with next!)

My second card for today features something we've been waiting for… The brand new Scallop Box pop up card dies!!! Hurray! PPP has made us the easiest pop up die set ever! I used the new card pop up dies along with the brand new Spring Chicks stamps and dies and the new Umbrellas stencils to make this Spring card! Little chicks out dancing in the rain with their colorful umbrellas! I had fun coloring with vivid colors of Copics on this one.

It's incredibly fast and easy to put together. I stamped and die cut out my chicks and umbrellas and colored everything with markers…. I also added white gel pen accents.

Hello friends! How's your week going? Well, I think it's going to get a whole lot better! We will have two reveal days this release – today and tomorrow. The design team will be sharing projects on our blogs and revealing all the new products for you. SO exciting! The new release is pretty and happy, like a breath of fresh air. Flowers and bunnies, and everything that signifies "new beginnings!" RELEASE DAY will be Friday, March 10th at 10am EST. I have so many cards to show you, and I can't wait. It made me smile creating everything with a spring color palette and gorgeous new stamps, dies and stencils. Are you excited?? You know how I am, so grab a cuppa, because there are lots of pictures today!

THE NEW RELEASE DAY IS FRIDAY MARCH 10TH AT 10AM EST!

My first card for today features the brand new Spring Sprays stencils and Dies, and the brand new Rejoice Dies… I used the previously released Arches Dies and the Ruscus Dies too. I intend this one as an Easter card so I used pink and yellow and green for my color palette – a nice coral pink!! My finished card is an A2 white card base, layered in pink, then two arches, then my design elements.

    Blog 1

Here's a side view to show my layers. I die cut the rejoice die from dark brown woodgrain cardstock (see the supplies) and layered it with vellum. I like the dark color in contrast with the bright pastels.

The flowers and leaves are from a stencil set and then die cut out with the matching dies. I used Distress inks and blender brushes to get a nice layer of color. I splashed on some white paint for an artsy effect. When I put the Sprays onto the card I used foam squares to raise them up.

  • Friday Fun with The Greetery and Beautiful Birthday Balloons!

Hey hey hey everyone, my crafty friends! I've missed you a lot and I think I'm back to sharing! I really really miss blogging, sharing, and interacting with all of you. I have to be honest, I haven't been myself here lately and so I've been cocooning and taking care of myself. I am exhausted and mentally and physically just not feeling well. When I don't feel good it is very hard for me to create. 2023 has already been a super hard year at our house – lots of stress and anxiety for both myself and my dear husband. If it can break, or go wrong, it has….and I am burned out.  We always turn to the Lord for comfort and He always provides for us. We will be fine as we always are. Just seems like a lot of tests lately. My soul hurts and I want to be my old loud, crazy, silly self. But not yet – sometimes there is just the need for a season of rest and quiet. I have been creating the past few days and I have SO many projects coming up. SO much good stuff from our favorite companies. I look forward to sharing with you and hearing from you. I hope you are doing well, and getting crafty. I hope to inspire you and be inspired by you! XOXO

Today, I'm up on The Greetery blog with a fun, pretty in pink, birthday card! My card features all supplies from The Greetery, including the gorgeous Balloon Bouquet stamps and dies along with the awesome Square Dance Stencils. My finished card is an A2 card base in white, layred with pink and some stenciled gingham….and more of course….

Here's a side view of my layers…. I die cut out an Arch with the A2 Arches Dies to serve as a frame for the stenciled gingham. I made my focal balloon with the floral spray, and then die cut more balloons from vellum and pink cardstock. Love this soft look!

The Balloon Bouquet stamps are SO pretty and unique!! I used soft pink and green distress inks to stamp the flowers. I really like this color combination. I used the same green distress ink to gently ink blend the bottom of that one large balloon. I stamped and heat embossed the happy birthday sentiment in my favorite silver glitter embossing powder.

I used the Cake Pops Banner and stamps to make a smaller sentiment of hip hip hooray! The 'strings' were die cut from silver glitter cardstock.

The Square Dance Stencils make a gingham/buffalo plaid and you can use up to three different colors to make your plaid. I wanted it to be super soft, so I used all three of the stencils with the SAME color of pink ink! Fresh and pretty!

I am completely obsessed with these glitter drops and added lots of pretty pink sprinkles to finish off my card! (supplies are listed below)

It's my second project I made with the brand new, beautiful 2023 February/Birthday new release from Pretty Pink Posh! Remember last week there was a big blog hop to celebrate the new release? I always like to post my card on my blog too. Today's card is a very colorful and festive birthday wish…in a mug!! Candles, balloons, stars…and coffee! You know this is right up my alley! The new release is so great – I hope you've had a chance to look at it all. We always need more birthday card ideas and supplies, right?! You can shop the NEW RELEASE here!

I am featuring the brand new Birthday Mug Dies that are a great addition to the mug series! This new set is full of everything for birthdays and parties. I didn't even use all the items! I used a bright color palette to look like a party – yellow, pink, aqua and lime green. So festive and cheerful.

I used the brand new Layered Party Hats Stencils (I used just the stars stencil from the set) to stencil on some stars in the background. I ink blended just the top of that wonky rectangle too.

  • Pinkfresh Studio January 2023 New Release – Beautiful Florals in Purple!

Hello crafty people! How was your weekend? I hope it was excellent! We had our first sunshine of the year this weekend and it was great! Felt good to see that big old bright blue sky. Whew! I got in some crafty time, some football time and some church time so it was a great weekend here! Today is a huge blog hop to celebrate a gorgeous new release from Pinkfresh Studio! More beautiful florals and innovative dies, more hot foil plates, more stencils! More awesomeness from one of my favorite companies! There is supply information, prize information and the list for the hop participants at the bottom of my post. Let's take a look at my card for today!

My card features the brand new Wonderful In Every Way stamp/die/hot foil/stencil combo and the brand new Wonderful Sentiments stamp/die/hot foil combo. Gosh, sooooo pretty! My finished card is an A2 card base in white. I layered purple and then a white layer die cut with a pretty cover plate…. and more! The pretty floral spray is the star of the card though!

I used the Sparkling Diamonds background die to make the pattern on the white layer. I used Inverted Circles to make a purple circle to ground the flowers and there is vellum tucked behind the purple circle. Here's a side view so you can see the construction and layers.

I thought a pretty vellum butterfly would be nice with these flowers! I used the hot foil plates and gold foil to make all my elements: the butterfly, the flowers and the sentiment. I used the matching dies for each piece to cut them all out. I am kind of obsessed with gold foiling!! I used watercolor paper (hot press/smooth) for the flowers and sentiment. It gives such a nice look.

I feel like even the leftovers are pretty when you do hot foiling! I used the Glimmer System and gold foil for this project.

To color in my images I used Pinkfresh ink cubes and my set of small blender brushes along with the matching stencils. The flowers have three layering stencils and the leaves have two layering stencils. SO easy to get a beautiful result.

To finish off my card, I splattered gold paint onto the florals… And I used some of the new Glitter Drops in Gold. OHH LA LA! These glitter drops are wonderful!!! I'm going to be using these a lot!! To assemble my card, I used foam tape to 'pop up' the second flower, directly on top of the first one. This is such an elegant technique and can bring your card to the next level. So much texture and dimension…

  • Christmas projects with new Taylored Expressions! Stamps, Stencils, Glitter, and an Elf!

Hi everyone! Happy December 1st! Can you believe it? Another year, another holiday season, another winter…. Wow, this year went fast! I hope you have a delightful, happy and peaceful December. Our month is so full of activities I have two different calendars going. There are so many fun things to do this time of year. I like to volunteer a lot and there are so many things happening at church, and work and of course craft fairs and Christmas festivals. Looking forward to a lovely month. Oh, and it's raining here today – yay! Lucky and I are all cozy in the craft room with the candles going and the twinkle lights…What a nice day.

I have some projects to share with you today – both projects were made with awesome new supplies from our friends at Taylored Expressions! Yippeee! One classic card, and some bright and cheery tags. Supplies are all listed at the bottom of my post – including my ink colors for stenciling! Let's get to it!!

First up is a classic Christmas card, with kraft, red, green and gold. I used the new NOEL stamp/stencil combo and it is such a nice suite!! My finished card is an A2 red card base. I layered cream and then my top layer is kraft with the stenciling on it. I added snowflakes and splatters of course…

The NOEL stencil/stamp combo is soooo pretty. It's a set of four stencils and then a set of tiny accent stamps to add the leaf details. It's perfection. I used shades of greens and then the new Lumberjack Red Distress Ink!! The final stencil does the lines inside the words and I chose to use glitter gel/paste as my accent. Tip – make sure all your inks are 100% dry before you add a paste!!! I used both my small and large sized blender brushes to get a nice even coat of ink onto my paper. The colors look different on Kraft paper – and I love this look. I used Distress Inks – colors are listed in the supplies!

Here's a close up of all the details. I used a TE die to make a set of vellum snowflakes which I added to my card and also my other project for today. I love a pretty vellum snowflake, don't you?

Next up is the Holiday Squad!! I made three tags using the new Holiday Squad dies/stamp set! The die set makes Santa, Mrs. Clause, and an adorable elf. All die cut from whatever color cardstock you want! I again stayed with traditional red and green…. I added snowflakes to my tags also…and snow splatters… There is a small stamp set that comes with the dies – for the eyes, cheeks and glasses. So easy and fun! I used the Joyful Season stamp set to add the small words on each tag.

Remember last year I made this card with the Snow Squad Dies! I'm so happy TE is adding to this fun collection of 'squads!'

Sweet Mrs. Claus with her smiling face and cute holly barette!! I added white gel pen accents to all three tags. I attached the figures to some postage stamp die cuts before adding them to the tags.

Here's a photo I took the other day of a delicious drink I made in my new W mug! I love coffee mugs and I have a bazillion coffee mugs! But I always buy more! There never is a W so I had to get it, right??? I made hubs and I some peppermint mocha coffees the other day. He found peppermint flavored whipped cream at Whole Foods!!! So I mixed coffee, milk, chocolate, and peppermint syrup. I put on the whipped cream and some crushed peppermint candies. And WOWZA, sooooo yummy.  On a side note – have you ever had the peppermint milkshakes at Chik-fil-a???? OMG so good! I haven't had one yet this year, but I'm going to take care of that this weekend! Ha!

Here's a side view so you can see all the layers. I die cut everything out first with my favorite cardstock colors…. Then I laid out my design to make sure it would all fit!

That awesome coffee mug is the star of the show, but I wanted more wintery goodness! I stamped and die cut out the pretty Pine Wreath to use kind of like background paper. I die cut the Winter Wishes from rich black cardstock to be in contrast to the other colors. Everything was generously splashed with snow (white paint) to look icy.

Next up, I made some pretty Christmas ornaments using the brand new Pine Trees Dies! These would also be nice tied onto a gift bag or a present! They are just the right size, and really easy to make. These were made using the larges of the three tree dies.

I die cut six pine tree shapes out of really old paper from my stash. Feels good to use up the stash! I used my Scor Pal to score each tree in half and then glued them together – so simple! I used some twine glued in the center so I could hang them.

  • The Greetery – A Song of Christmas New Release – Day 2!

Hey hey hey! It's Day Two of The Greetery new release week! The new release is called A Song of Christmas! Today's song theme is Deck The Halls! There are product/project reveals three days this week and then the new release will be available for shopping on Friday, October 7th at 10am EST! I have two more cards to share today with you. I went with a vivid and bright color story today on both of my cards. If you didn't see yesterday's post – make sure to go back and read it so you're all caught up!!

My first card today features the brand new Jumbo Curiosity Ornaments and the brand new Twinkle Background Die (swoon)! My finished card is an A2 white card base. I used the Twinkle Background as my layer to feature that pretty ornament!

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery stamps and dies, the greetery a song of christmas, the greetery jumbo ornament, the greetery mistletoe arches, stencils, stamping, die cutting, christmas cards, handmade christmas cards, winter, card ideas, make your own christmas cards, card layouts, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here's a close up side view of the background die and the ornament die!! I used the Pine Wisps Dies and the Tied Up Dies to add a tree and bow to my ornament.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery stamps and dies, the greetery a song of christmas, the greetery jumbo ornament, the greetery mistletoe arches, stencils, stamping, die cutting, christmas cards, handmade christmas cards, winter, card ideas, make your own christmas cards, card layouts, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I used glitter and white paint and silver pearl paint to make a snowy look!

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery stamps and dies, the greetery a song of christmas, the greetery jumbo ornament, the greetery mistletoe arches, stencils, stamping, die cutting, christmas cards, handmade christmas cards, winter, card ideas, make your own christmas cards, card layouts, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

The background was ink blended with Blender Brushes and Mermaid Lagoon Oxide Ink!! SO vivid and cool and icy!

The sentiment is from the Opposites Attract Holiday stamp/die combo released last year! I really just wanted a clean and simple sentiment and this was perfect!

My second card for today showcases the brand new Mistletoe Arches stamp, dies, and stencil suite!! It also features the brand new Arched Holiday Sentiments stamps and dies. I went with a frosty pink and green color palette and I could not love it more. These stencils are awesome. My finished card is an A2 card base. I also layered some vellum and hot pink gingham to this fresh and happy card.

Here's a close up view of the sentiments and my card layers. I used Copper embossing powder for this project – and it matches the pink! Like a soft rose gold feeling to it!! I started by stenciling the entire panel of Mistletoe branches and berries and then die cut it out with the matching die. I stamped the arched sentiment in black onto an arched panel. I used pink ink to ink blend just the bottom of the arched part.

I love how the swirls in the larger sentiment fit perfectly inside the arched sentiment. It truly is all in the details, and Betsy thinks of everything!

I put vellum behind the opening in the Mistletoe arch – I just always like that look. I popped the Merry & Bright sentiment up with some foam dots too, and then added a couple of pink hearts.

  • Pretty Pink Posh – September New Release Blog Hop! All About Fall!

Hi everyone!! Welcome to the September New Release Blog Hop for Pretty Pink Posh! Thanks for joining me! It's day one of a big three day hop introducing the new Fall collection from the awesome Pretty Pink Posh. Leaves, and apples, and pumpkins…oh my! Everything good and pretty for the Autumn season. You know I love it all! So happy to be part of the fun and festivities this week. I think you're gonna love this release too!! I have two cards to share today… Oh, and there will be a fun Instagram Hop next week, so I'll have a third card to share then. Yeah! Let's go!!

The new release is available now for shopping! Direct product shopping links, blog hop links and prize information is at the bottom of my post! Enjoy the hop!

First up is a card that absolutely represents FALL!!! I used the brand new Fall Basket dies with some previously released PPP stamps and dies. To say that I am obsessed with this new die set would be an understatement. My finished card is an A2 card base layered with some petite gingham and an oval frame. The rest of the card showcases those pretty new dies.

    10

    10

Here's a side view of my layers and construction…. I used the Spooky Fence die to add an old white picket fence to the scene. The oval was die cut from white cardstock and then ink blended with Distress Inks.

    10

I knew I wanted a sign on this card….but hmmmmm. How to make it?? I used the Build A Gift Dies!! I die cut out a "present" and a "ribbon" from cardstock and then colored it like a sign using Copic Markers. Then I stamped that perfect sentiment onto the sign. I really like how it came out!! What do you think?

    10

All the die cut pieces were cut from colored cardstock. I used Copics to add shading onto each element. The basket was die cut from two different shades of wood cardstock and also shaded with Copics. Can you tell I had fun making this card?? (Oh, and MORE apples!) (inside joke)

    10

I assembled and reassembled all the pieces until I had a design that I liked, then glued everything down with liquid glue and/or small foam squares.

    10

I added a few tumbling leaves and some clear droplets onto the finished card.

    10

Those tiny mushrooms are the CUTEST thing!

    10

    10

Next up is a card I made with the new Apple Stencils set. It's a three stencil set: apples, leaves and stems. That way it's easy to use three different colors. My finished card is a white A2 card base, layered with green gingham, then the stenciled panel. I wrapped some vellum around the card and used the brand new Grateful word die as my sentiment.

    10

I tried a new technique for ink blending/stenciling on kraft! I first used white pigment ink to stencil all the elements. I let the white ink dry, and went back over it with Distress Inks and blender brushes. I thought it would come out much brighter because of the white ink… It's more muted than I wanted but I think it looks sort of vintage or something because of that!! Sometimes it's a happy accident!

    10

I added white gel pen accents onto the apples…and bits of white paint splatter….

    10

Here's a photo on my work desk with the white ink concept!!! It was very easy to do this and I think I might try black cardstock next. The goal is to make the color pop against a darker background…

    10

A simple finish with a twine bow and a little red heart…

    10

PRIZE ALERT! There are three $30 gift certificates up for grabs (one winner each day). Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PST on 9/21/2022. Winners will be announced on the PPP blog! Good Luck!

Here's a side view so you can see my layers. I hot foiled the sentiment with silver foil using my glimmer system. I cut a second die cut from plain white paper and glued the two together to make the words nice and thick. I also hot foiled the snowflakes with silver foil onto vellum. This is very very elegant and pretty. Definitely feels like winter.

Next up is a very classic Christmas card, reminiscent of the festive ornaments from the 1960's! Beautiful baubles on the green branches are so evocative of Christmas don't you think? This finished card is an A2 red card base. This card features the brand new Ornaments Suite, along with some supplies from prior releases. I used the Sparkling Diamonds Cover Plate to make the background design. I hot foiled the ornaments and then used the matching stencils to add the color.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut it from the matching dies. I like how the words are separated so you can arrange them however you want to on your card. I used gold hot foil on the ornaments and used a primary colors palette….

My card today is a white A2 card base, layered with black and white and purple! I am featuring the new Candy Treats Dies, Ghost Friends Stamps, and Stars Stencil. I'm also featuring two products from last year's release – the Boo Shaker and the Trick or Treat Dies. I used TONS of bright colors on this card. I think that's one of the best things about Halloween cards – you can just use ALLLL the colors and it looks fun!

pretty pink posh, pretty pink posh halloween, pretty pink posh stamps and dies, stencils, halloween cards, candy treats dies, boo shaker die cut, pretty pink posh ghost friends, trick or treat ideas, halloween card ideas, distress ink blending, glitter, trick or treat, halloween invitations, wanda guess, pretty pink posh new

Here's a side view of all my layers and card construction…

My inspiration for this card was a old timey trick or treat bucket! Like the ones we used to get from McDonalds with that hard plastic and the swinging handle! Brings back such good memories! The other inspiration was the CANDY that went inside that bucket! Lol! The new Candy Treats dies are wonderful. I die cut out the pieces from several colors and glued them all together. I added bits and bobs of glitter…and white gel pen accents!

This card has a lot going on!! To make the background I did one of my fav techniques – distress ink blending tone on tone with colored cardstock! I used purple cardstock and then used purple distress inks to ink around the edges. Then I used super dark purple ink to ink the stars stencil over the ink blending. SO cool. I stamped and die cut out the ghosties and colored them with a few Copic Markers.

I used the same ink blending technique on the pumpkin – orange distress inks on top of orange cardstock. FUN. FUUUUUN. The pumpkin die is the perfect size for the front of a card, and I use it a lot!

pretty pink posh, pretty pink posh halloween, pretty pink posh stamps and dies, stencils, halloween cards, candy treats dies, boo shaker die cut, pretty pink posh ghost friends, trick or treat ideas, halloween card ideas, distress ink blending, glitter, trick or treat, halloween invitations, wanda guess, pretty pink posh new

I used the Glitter Duster and Rock Candy Glitter on top of some of the candies – looks pretty in person!! (Kind of hard to photo)…

I scattered candies all around my card until I got the right look. I die cut the sentiment from silver glitter cardstock. I used glue to add the sentiment onto the bottom of the card. The silver looks pretty against that dark purple.

Okay friends, now I need to go to Target and get some candy!! LOL. Remember, this card is from the big Instagram Hop happening today! So head over to Instagram and leave some comments!! XO

  • You’re the ZEST! Fun, happy lemon card!

Hi friends! How are you this week so far? It's been a nice day here, kinda mellow, getting a lot done! How was your weekend? We escaped to the water on Friday and enjoyed some much needed outdoor time in the 68 degree weather!! It was AMAZING!! Time seems to be flying by the past couple of weeks and I'm so excited with anticipation of Autumn!! The light is changing and it's a bit darker in the morning and it just feels a little different. I love it! Today I sat down and made a project, took the photos, and am sharing it all the same day. I really like it when that happens. Sometimes a stamp set or product comes across my desk and I have to use it right NOW! Lolz. That's what happened with these stamps, dies and stencils I used today from Taylored Expressions. I am becoming an avid stenciler and these lemons are so fabulous! And my message to you: You're the ZEST!!

My finished card is an A2 woodgrain card base. I layered only one layer (with the stenciling), a bit of gingham, and a bit of vellum. The lemons are the star of the show for sure. I used cream cardstock for everything, instead of bright white cardstock. Lends more of an old fashioned feel to my card.

The lemons and leaves are two stencils. I used large and small blender brushes to ink the yellows and greens. I really love shading + stenciling!! The set comes with tiny stamps to add as leaf accents and lemon accents as you can see in the close up. Easy to get these pretty results. I splattered on some white paint too. The finished stencil piece was 6×6 but I cut it down to layer onto an A2 card.

I used the separate lemons, flowers and leaves dies to add accent pieces to my sentiment frame. I die cut them from cream cardstock and used the same colors of inks and my blender brushes to color them to match.

taylored expressions, taylored expressions stamps and dies, squeeze the day, lemons, stencils, embossing, vellum, gingham, inks, card ideas, lemon cards, card layout ideas, scrapbooking, lemon stencil, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto cream cardstock and die cut it out with the matching die. I added a few yellow enamel dots to the centers of the flowers and a few yellow hearts too, for good measure. This card just makes me smile and it was fun and relaxing to create. I really seem to get in the zone now when I'm stenciling… (Just wait until my card for Thursday!!)

  • The Greetery – Wild Elegance New Release Introduction!

Hello friends! It's a VERY exciting day today! The Design Team is introducing a gorgeous new release from The Greetery!! The new release is called "Wild Elegance" and it is very elegant indeed! Of course it's filled with beautiful flowers and innovative dies, and stencils, and more! We are sharing all of the products today – only today! RELEASE DAY IS THURSDAY, AUGUST 4TH AT 10AM EST! So you don't have to wait very long to make your choices! It is such a joy and delight to craft with the new items from The Greetery. It is also a joy to bring them to you! I have three cards to share today! Prize information and blog hop information is at the bottom of my post! Enjoy!

First up is a soft and pretty yellow card made with the brand new suite called Floral Arches! There is a stencil set with matching stamps, a matching die set that cuts out the outside and the inside and has accent pieces, and perfectly lined up arched sentiments. I also used the new Arches A2 Die set. SO creative and clever!! My finished card is a white A2 card base (that will show you the scale of the floral)…. I layered yellow cardstock, gingham and a bit of vellum too.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here is a side view so you can see all my layers. There is a set of arches coming out with this release and I used that set to die cut my vellum arch to go under the top white layer. The sentiments stamp onto the arch perfectly. I gold heat embossed the happy birthday portion.

Another perfect floral stencil/stamp set from The Greetery! I had a very hard time deciding what colors to use, but I ended up with a soft pastel pink and peach combo that is really nice! You stencil all the bits and then go back in with the matching stamps to accent. I always use my MISTI for the stamping part.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

If you know me at all, you know that blank white space unnerves me! LOL. So I used part of the stencil to add some extra leaves to the bottom corner of that top layer. It's all in the details.

Next up is a purple power floral made using the new Sketched Wildflower Bouquet Stamp/Stencil/Die combo. My finished card is an A2 white card base layered with purple and gingham… I used The Greetery Postal Dies for the top white layer – with woodgrain cardstock.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Here is a side view of my layers. I put in a bit of vellum and used pearls as accents.

The floral spray – I stamped it first in black ink using my MISTI. Then I used large and small blender brushes to ink the matching stencils. (SO fast and easy). I die cut it out using the matching die. I splashed on some white paint for good measure!

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I attached the floral spray to the card using foam tape – but it is still pretty flat for mailing. I made this as a birthday card but I feel like this would also be such a lovely bridal shower card!!

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

My last card is a bit rustic and wild! I used the new Lovely Silhouettes and the new Arches dies to create this one. My card base is an A2 size, made from woodgrain cardstock. All the other paper in this card is watercolor paper. I used Distress inks and water to achieve my watercolor feel.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

The stamps/dies in this set are wildflower silhouettes. So you could stamp them in black against a pretty background for a true silhouette – love that look. I wanted to try something a bit different though. I used Distress Inks and inked directly onto the stamps. I used my sprayer bottle to spray the ink/stamp and then stamped onto watercolor paper. Voila – watercolored! I let everything dry and then die cut the pieces using the matching dies. This is such a fun tried and true technique.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I also did the sentiment the same way – nice and watery!

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

For the background I inked up a piece of watercolor paper with blue hues to look like the sky behind the flowers. I die cut an arch from the same woodgrain paper. I used foam tape to pop the arch up off the background. Lastly, I inserted my flowers.

the greetery, the greetery new release, the greetery wild elegance, the greetery stamps dies and stencils, the greetery sketched wildflower bouquet, the greetery floral arches, the greetery lovely silhouettes, card ideas, watercolors, distress ink, stencils, floral cards, card ideas, card sketches, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

My first card features the new Fall Foliage Stencils and Dies and the new Gazebo Die! OOOH LA LA! The die set up for this is genius!! You stencil an entire panel of the wonderful leaves, then die cut them all out at ONCE! One bit die does all the leaves together. Pinkfresh is always innovative and creative. My sentiment was made using the Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and dies… I used gold to accent my card – both by using gold paint splatters and by making my sentiment in gold foiling… My stenciling was done with warm tones of Distress Inks and blender brushes.

I die cut the Gazebo twice from dark brown woodgrain cardstock and glued them together. I layered some vellum around my card and glued the gazebo onto the front. The die cut background was made with the pretty Sparkling Diamonds Coverplate! Just a hint of texture and interest. I also layered in some vellum leaf clusters.

It's perfect for Summer projects and all kinds of sweet things! I have two cards to share with you – made with the kit! CLICK HERE to purchase your kit now!

First up is a card covered in beeeees! I used the large background stamp/stencil combo to make a whole panel of bees onto kraft cardstock. My finished card is an A2 white card base, layered with blue and then kraft. I love kraft and yellow together!

The stamp/stencil combo is super easy to use. You stamp the black portion and then stencil the yellow and the wings. I used sponges and blender brushes. The wings were done with white pigment ink and I like how it looks on the kraft! It's hard to see, but there's also some glitter. Here's a close up of my layers.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a black rectangle and layered that with vellum. I tied some twine around the top layer for a bit more interest and texture. I stamped/stenciled a second panel and used the bee die cuts to cut out some extra bees to pop up on the card.

Here's a side view to see my layers… I started by stamping the large floral spray in black ink onto white cardstock using my MISTI for good coverage. I used pretty shades of pink, green and yellow to stencil in all the colors! (There are six stencils total in this set, and the results are remarkable, down to the perfect shading on each leaf)! It was super easy to color in this huge image. I used both sizes of my blender brushes (supplies are at the bottom of my post) I die cut out the floral spray using the perfectly matching die.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut it out with the matching die as well. Such a nice sentiment-perfect for a lot of occasions. With a different sentiment, I think this would be a great wedding card idea!

For the pink background, I used the Floral Backdrop Coverplate! SO feminine and pretty. I wrapped a strip of vellum over my layers before attaching my florals with foal tape.

  • Concord & 9th Feature Friday – New Release May 2022!

Whew! We made it to Friday! What a week it's been! SOOOO many projects and so many blog posts and fun stuff! Thanks for coming along and hanging out with me all week! I have one more post for the week – let's finish it off right! As you know, I'm one of the guest designers for the Concord & 9th May 2022 new release. Yay! I have two final cards to share with you, both made with brand new products. Everything is already available for shopping at C9 and it's my pleasure to share some inspiration with you! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for keeping up with me and sharing the fun here with me all this week. XOXO

My first card today is showcasing the brand new SO KIND stamps and dies! (there are matching stencils too)! My finished card is an A2 card base. I used kraft and bright Clover green and pops of pink and yellow. This card feels very Summery to me.

The suite of products comes with a big die that cuts out the letters all at once. You can use the outline or use the letters individually like I did here. The big "you are so kind" sentiment fills up a whole card. The matching stamp does the pretty leaves and flowers images onto the letters. Very cool. The tiny sentiment and banner is part of the set. I used the small flowers and leaves from the Picked Posie die set that was also released this month!! (Supplies are listed at the bottom of my post).

I was playing around with colors and I knew I wanted to use kraft and white… When I put that pretty Clover green next to it, it just popped!! So we went with green! LOL. I stamped and heat embossed the letters with white embossing. I die cut a second set of letters in green to be a shadow.

This is so pretty! I really like the font on that sentiment so much!

Next up – BIG hugs and pretty paper!! This card features the new Positively Stitched background dies. There is one that die cuts out the cross pieces and a second one that does the pierced crossed that fit underneath. My finished card is an A2 card base. All the papers/colors used are from Concord and 9th! I showcased the Positively Stitched products as part of my background and combined them with the Garden Party Paper Pack.

Here is a close up of the two dies and how they go together. Use each one separately or together! I used the BIG hugs die set and die cut out aqua, gold and vellum…to match the patterned paper. This card is nice and flat for mailing but still has a lot of design elements going on! I love using all different textures and patterns. So happy!!

The main image is the envelope with the flowers busting out! Fresh and colorful for Spring! I added additional flowers from another new stamp set. Then I used vellum leaves and a pretty tag sentiment…. I love kraft mixed with spring colors….

The bow stamp is so perfect here! I tucked the flower bouquet down into the envelope and then tucked in the vellum leaves behind everything else. I added clear enamel dots and a few ink splatters.
