  • Pigment Craft Co – Christmas Hugs and Love – and Ink Pads!

Hi everyone! Merry Christmas-time! It's getting closer and closer now! Not much time left for me to finish all my crafty ideas! I think I might have to just let it go for this year! I hope you are doing great and enjoying the season. We have been out doing lots of activities – craft fairs, Christmas Festivals, Zoo Lights, Volunteering and more! Oh, and it was my husband's birthday this weekend too. Whew. No wonder I'm tired! It has been so nice to be out doing things in the fresh crisp air. Everyone is jolly and happy to be busy. Feels good. Today it's really windy and pouring rain and I'm trying to get things done before the power inevitably goes out. Wishing you a happy season!!

Today's post features stamps, dies and inks from one of my favorite companies – Pigment Craft Co! For my birthday, the hubs bought me the entire set of ink pads. I LOVE THEM! I got them all swatched up and I've been using them on projects. They are wonderful. Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the ink pads, and a card I made with the GORGEOUS Christmas limited edition kit!

My finished card is an A2 card base covered with my fav woodgrain paper. One layer of white cardstock and then the clean and graphic images. Simple and sweet and maybe kinda retro too.

Here are some of the ink colors….. It's a muted palette with mostly warm shades and tones. The colors are (to me) a bit retro and I looooove that. I don't have any of these colors in any of my other ink pad collections. They are super SUPER juicy and with the foam top so you just barely need any ink for good coverage.

Here's my little swatch booklet on a ring! I used my mini tags from Doodlebug (supplies listed at the bottom of my post) and extra thick cardstock. ONE stamp with a heart – see that beautiful coverage???

One of my favorite sentiment sets from Pigment too!!

Here's a close up of two of the pads…. Really saturated and nice, smooth foam pads. I think they are going to last a long time. I am starting to prefer this type of pad over the cloth ones with the threads….

  • Sweater Season Projects with Pigment Craft Co!

Hi everyone!!! It's me again!!! I have had so many fun things to share with you lately! And, today, more fun things to share! Yay! Today is the last day of August and tomorrow officially (in my mind) starts my favorite season – Fall!! Or, Sweater Season! I know I'm hopeful because we're still having hot weather, but a girl can dream of sweaters and boots and hot coffees and fall leaves, right?! I'm so very very excited to be the guest designer today over on the Pigment Craft Co Blog. I was very blessed by the Pigment team to receive their new Fall product release. Everything is so classy and creative and gorgeous. I am obsessed with their aesthetic and creativity. I can't say enough good things!

Today for the Pigment Blog (and here) I made a cute sweater card and a sweater garland to share with you. I used the Sweater Season Stamp Set, The Sweater Weather Stamp Set, The Fall Wreath Stamp Set, and the beautiful Latte Heart Background Die. Let's get started!

I used cream cardstock for all the elements of my projects today. Using cream instead of bright white cardstock makes everything just a bit warmer I feel. Also, I used a color palette totally out of my norm…. I have been seeing lots of projects with retro colors lately and wanted to give that a try!! Know what? I love it!! Here is the card….

    And here is the garland!

This finished card is an A2 card base made from cream cardstock. I used the Latte Heart Background die in cream also. I mounted the background die over woodgrain cardstock for a textured look. Here's a close up of the background and also the small leaf clusters. The leaves are from the Fall Wreath Stamp Set. I started this card and garland by getting out my MISTI and stamping a ton of cute sweaters in all different color combinations. I also stamped the leaves. I die cut out everything with the matching dies….

I used two sweaters for the card and five sweaters for the garland. For the card I added buttons and twine for little pops of texture. I LOOOOOVE this sentiment!!! I stamped it in dark brown ink and die cut it with the matching die.

The Sweater Weather dies include two texture only dies – here is a close up of one of them…the detail is incredible.

Everything was attached to the card using foam tape to pop up off the background. I can't wait to make some Christmas sweaters next!!!

For the garland I started with brown Chunky Twine…. I used five sweaters and four leaf clusters to make the garland. The sweaters are attached to the twine using little clips from my crafty stash. For the leaf clusters, I glued them onto the twine using clear glue.

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! It's going to be a great week with lots of fun creative things happening! How are you? Did you have a good weekend? I sure hope so. There's no signs of Autumn here in Northern California yet….but I've already started decorating for Fall at our house! I can't resist! It's my favorite season. Here's hoping we get a cool crisp whiff of Fall air soon!

Today's post is very exciting!! I am so super honored to be joining in with some other crafting friends to help launch the new Autumn/Fall 2021 Release from Pigment Craft Co! There is a big Instagram Hop today – that's where you can find all the prizes and promotional codes – so please head over there after you read my post. The release is live now for shopping! Enjoy!

I made two cards to share today…. This first one was made with the new Pumpkin Patch stamps and dies, the Hello Autumn Split Sentiment, and the Tile Builder Background die. The finished card is an A2 card base from white paper. I layered craft on top (with that pretty background) and then featured fall colors for my stamping.

Here's a close up of that pretty background die….. And that cool sentiment! The pumpkins and the sentiment are popped up off the paper with foam squares for dimension. I used the traditional Fall color palette of gold, orange and olive….

The Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set is a layering set, so you can actually use three different shades for one pumpkin – so cool!!!

My second card is a big, bold, beautiful Fall Wreath! Be still my heart! This finished card is a 5" x 5" square card made from cream cardstock. I layered my favorite woodgrain paper and then another layer of cream cardstock….then the pretty fall colors!

I stamped the background of that top cream layer – using a small pattern builder stamp and Antique Linen Distress Ink. It's just the most subtle pretty pattern, but makes a difference in how the card feels. I also edged that layer with distress ink. This has a bit of a vintage fell to it.

I stamped the wreath three times: gold, orange and red inks. I used two different shades of each color – you can see the subtle tones in the stamping. Then I die cut out all the pieces and arranged them to use each color. All of the pieces were splashed with my favorite gold ink.

I stamped the sentiment in black Stazon ink onto a vellum strip and wrapped it around the front of the card layers before attaching everything to my card base. This same set of stamps – stamped in green – would be a whole different look and really fresh for spring!! Love it.

  • Sweet Strawberry Cards to celebrate Summer!

Helloooooo my sweet and crafty friends! How are you this fine day?! I hope you had an awesome weekend, and cheers to a good week to come! I have two posts this week! Yay! The other one will be on Friday! What's new with you? Are you creating a lot? Are you starting to get out and about some more? How are things where you live? We had a streak of 100 degree days but today it cooled off a little. I'm grateful for that! Seemed to early to be so hot already! My husband and I met 28 years ago on June 4th and we always celebrate that day as an anniversary!! So on Friday night we went out and had the yummiest, best dinner together! We went to a nice restaurant for the first time in almost two years! It was lovely and wonderful to be out, and dressed up, on a Friday night again! The restaurant was lively and full and it made me feel better to see all the happy faces. Maybe, just maybe, things are going to take a turn for the better! California has been locked down tight this whole time. We are ready to party!!

My post for today is showcasing some brand new stamps from a new company owned by my crafty friend Ivana! It's called Pigment Craft Co! I actually squealed when I saw this new release and I was online at exactly the moment these stamps went on sale to buy them!! I've been stamping for 27 years and it's pretty rare for me to get SO excited about a new release!! These stamps are modern, pretty, sweet, retro, and happy all at the same time! It's like she read my mind!! LOL. My stamps came and I promptly sat down and made these two cards!! CLICK HERE for my supply list for today!

The first card is good enough to eat! (On a picnic! LOL) The finished card is a cream A2 card base….layered with gingham of course and more cream cardstock. It has a vintage feeling to it – using distress inks to edge everything – and a big bold look!

Pigment Craft Co, Pigment stamps and dies, Pigment Craft new stamps, Pigment Craft Co Berry Patch, Pigment Craft Co Jumbo Berry stamp set, Pigment Craft Co Berry sentiments stamp set, Concord & 9th ink pads, MISTI, Strawberry stamps and dies, Strawberry cards, vintage cards, Card ideas, Handmade cards, stamping, die cutting, scrapbooking, DIY cards, Gingham, Wanda Guess, A Blog Called Wanda

I used bright red, pink and green inks to stamp the strawberries and leaves! I used my MISTI for a good impression. I ended up stamping everything twice for a rich inked look. So easy with the MISTI to do this. I stamped two strawberries with the tops, and one big leaf cluster. After stamping everything, I used two colors of Distress Inks to edge in brown around all the pieces.

I stamped the sentiment onto a small scalloped circle and inked that part also. I used twine and a button from my stash for some design elements!

I splattered white ink/paint onto the strawberries and leaves (just because!) and added green enamel dots to the tops of the berries.

Here is the berry/leaf cluster before I placed it onto the card. It's a big mama!!! SOOOOO pretty! This would be beautiful as a bag tie on, or on a package with some pretty gingham ribbon, or at the top of a glassine treat bag…. Lots of ideas!

I layered a stitched rectangle (in cream cardstock) and edged it with brown inks. Everything is affixed with foam tape for dimension. I added a couple of pink hearts to finish it off!

My second card is also an A2 card base, but in bright white cardstock. I layered aqua and pink for that perfect retro/modern look. I love pink and aqua together….and a pop of red too! Yummmmm. I used the same ink pads for both cards. CLICK HERE for my supply list!

I stamped the Berry Patch berries, stems and leaves in pinks and greens… I stamped extra leaves so I could layer three different green colors. I used Copic Markers to add some little extra touches in a darker color (on the left side of the berries and on the leaves).

The background die that makes that pretty retro design is from Lil Inker Designs and is old – and sadly they're no longer around…. You could use an embossing folder or another background die for this part…anything from your stash!!

I stamped the sentiment in aqua and die cut it with the matching die. In this photo you can see the layers of the leaves. I used my MISTI to stamp all of these parts. Just makes it so easy and perfect.
