  • Jaded Blossom Stamps: Coffee and Birthday cards!

Hi friends! Happy Crafturday! Are you creating and crafting today? It's foggy here and chilly out, and I've got my coffee and I'm so content! Taking lots of pictures for upcoming blog posts and doing some stitching. It's a good day! Today I'm popping in to share some cards I made a while ago using the most adorable stamps and dies from Jaded Blossom Stamps! Oh gosh – they have the best stuff! They just had a new release this week, but I haven't ordered yet. I have my eye on some CUUUUUTE gingerbread items!! CHECK OUT their website here!

I'm sharing two cards today – and guess what? No holidays! LOL. I have a fun coffee card and a super cheerful birthday card. Let's look! First up is a mason jar card featuring my favorite thing- coffee! I used some new add ons along with some of their older stamps and dies to create this card. You might remember a while back I made two other mason jar cards (THIS BLOG POST) and today's coffee card is the same layout as the strawberry one. When you find something that works, use it again, right?? This finished card is an A2 kraft card base, layered with teal and white. I like brown and teal together – and always a pop of red, too. How ya bean?! Love it.

Here's a close up of my paper layers: kraft, teal, white, vellum, then featured elements. And also a close up of the tag element. I really love these mason jar stamps and dies. I use them all the time. My next idea is to make some tags with them!! I love that you can pop in a bit of gingham always.

I colored those yummy coffee beans with Copic markers and added white gel pen accents.

I die cut the coffee word from dark brown woodgrain cardstock. I love that texture.

I used matte silver cardstock for the top of the jar. And two kinds of pretty twine…. A few clear enamel dots and some hearts were my finishing touches. Now I need to go make some more coffee! LOLZ.

Next up is a bright and cheery birthday card sure to make anyone smile. The finished card is an A2 white card base, layered with aqua and white. I used the awesome Balloon Letters stamps and dies as my feature element. A month or so ago I bought the first set of the brand new ink pads from Simon Says Stamp – and they are wonderful! I love the bright, saturated colors and they stamped like a dream. Crisp and clean. I definitely recommend them. And, they just came out with new colors!! CLICK HERE to check out the ink pads.

I stamped the balloons and die cut them out. Then I stamped and colored that pretty cake and added some glitter (of course!)… I used the birthday word dies to add the sentiment. I kinda like how there are so many different fonts happening here. That's one of my fav things- fonts/combinations.

  • Happy Fall Friday! A new release from Jaded Blossom today!

Howdy friends! Happy Fall Friday! Yippeeeeee! It finally feels like fall here in California! I put all the extra blankets on the bed this week and we've considered turning on the heater a few times…. The house is fully decorated for Halloween and the pumpkins have been purchased…. My happy season is here!! And, today I have a Fall crafty treat for you! There's a brand new release today from Jaded Blossom! ALLLLL the pretty things for Autumn crafting. I have two projects for ya! I hope you enjoy the projects, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

First up is a classically fall card….full of all the things I love to use for fall cards! Woodgrain, warm colors, cream, gold, vellum……oooooooh. This finished card is an A2 card base. I covered the front of the card with dark brown woodgrain and then a cream panel. So warm and cozy…. The stars of this card are those gorgeous leaves dies!

    1

I started this card by making the background first. I knew I wanted to use the solid leaves as the focus of my card, but I really wanted to use the outline die too…. Hmmmm. Then it came to me! I created a tone on tone cream background by die cutting several outline dies. I glued them onto the cream panel and trimmed the edges. It's perfect! I splashed a good amount of my favorite gold paint on top of this part and let it dry. Then I inked the edges slightly with Distress Ink.

    1

Next I die cut two of the big leaves – in red and gold. I used my new fav technique to add gold embossing to dies… and I love how this came out. Here's how I did it: I took my Versamark ink pad and randomly smushed some ink onto the leaves. I poured a generous amount of gold embossing powder over the leaves. Then I used a paint brush to haphazardly remove much of the embossing powder…. Then I heated them. Super cool and shiny!

I am already obsessed with these Fancy Leaves Dies!! (I also used them in my second project for today) There's a lot to love about them – first off, they cut like a dream. See those perfectly perfect lines??? Dreamy. And they are priced really well too. A good bargain for such large dies. Yep, gonna put these in rotation a lot.

    1

I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder onto cream cardstock and die cut it with the matching dies. (I LOVE matching dies for sentiments, don't you?!) I wrapped a strip of vellum around that top layer. Everything is affixed with foam tape!

    1

I tried to find these gems for you – but they have been discontinued… They were the rainbow drops from FSJ and I love them. You could easily use Nuvo Drops, Enamel Dots or even clear dots for a little accent.

    1

Next up is a fun tag I made with the new Pumpkin Juice stamp set! I'm going to save it for a gift bag and/or a bottle of wine tag! I could also affix a coffee gift card to the back! I stamped the image using brown ink on cream cardstock. I colored everything in with Copic Markers and added white gel pen accents. Such a fun image! I die cut two circles and one of the gorgeous leaves from the Fancy Leaves set….. and it all came together quickly!

    1

My fav go to for the tops of tags is the gingham/twine/button combo!

  • We Go Together….Like Burgers & Fries!

Hey friends! We go together like…rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong! I'm dating myself, but every time I hear the phrase "we go together" I sing the song from Grease in my head! LOLZ. Today's card is funny and punny and lots of fun! I'm featuring stamps from Jaded Blossom and they are oh so so cute! I have really been enjoying using their products! Today I mixed up three stamp sets to create a fresh and colorful greeting. Lots of Copic coloring, some ink blending, and bright colors – just my jam!! I hope you're having a good week so far. We go together like….stamps and markers! Ha!

My finished card is an A2 white card base. I layered another layer of white paper wrapped in gingham and twine….then my focal circle with the images. This is a good card layout for pretty much any type of card. Just a touch of some patterned paper and the focus on the images….

I stamped the images and colored them with lots of Copic Markers. I cut them out by hand – super easy. The faces are not already on the stamps, so I used the Fresh Faces stamp set to add them. I LOOOOVE that I can choose from a bunch of different expressions to add to the images!! They're cheeky and cute!!

The sentiment stamp set has loads of different sentiments that match the different stamps in the stamp set. We go together like….

I used the Waffle Flower dies to create a blue scalloped circle and a white circle. I used blender brushes and Oxide ink to add just a bit of blue to go behind the burger, fries and soda.

  • Bee My Gnomie!!

Hi friends! I have a super fun card to share with you today and I am starting a new partnership with a new company! Yeah! Today's card was made with super cute stamps from Jaded Blossom Stamps! It's a woman owned company that sells stamps, dies and stencils! I first found out about them through my crafty friend Becky, and once I saw their stamps, I was in! A little about Jaded Blossom – Michelle and Candace Started Jaded Blossom in 2011. They originally started out focusing on stamps for treat and favor making, and eventually added stamps for card making, along with stencils and dies. they pride themselves on great customer service and they provide quick turn arounds for shipping. And, turns out, Candace even lives not too far from me! It's all good in the crafty hood! I'll be showcasing their stamps and dies here on my blog, so I hope you'll pop over to their website and look around. The stamps are great quality, made in the USA, and they all stamped perfect right out of the package!

Today's card has two things I love: Bees and Gnomes…he's a bee gnome! LOL. Gotta love that, and he's so cute with his stripes and his glittery wings. This finished card is an A2 white card base. I kept with a yellow and black color palette because, well, bees!

Jaded Blossom has a very awesome suite of products that are mason jars and smaller jars…with all kinds of fillers (I got them all!)… I used the Spring Jar Add Ons and specifically this gorgeous bunch of daisies to make some flowers for my bee gnome! Ha. I stamped two of the daisy clusters and colored them with Copics. These do not have matching dies, so I cut them out with my detail scissors. I added little white gel pen accents to make it super cheerful.

I stamped and cut out Mr. Bee Gnome and colored him with Copic Markers. I used some Diamond Stickles for his glimmery wings…

To assemble my card I layered some buttery polka dots and then black and white papers. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the white panel. Love that font!
