Hey hey friends! How are you today? It’s two weeks until Christmas! (Otherwise known as my husband’s birthday!) SO much happening this time of year, and I am ready and excited. Hope your Christmas preparations are going well and hope that you are enjoying the magic of the season. We’ve been out and about doing things, craft fairs, church events, Christmas lights, meeting up with friends, and of course shopping! Today I am sharing something fun – it’s a big end of the year Instagram Hop with Concord and 9th! I am posting my projects here on my blog too of course, but please head over to Instagram to see ALL the projects! I’m calling this post – cheerful jolly holidays! I have two cards to show you. Everything can be found on the Concord & 9th website!!

My first card features one of my favorite things of the whole season – this adorable stamp/stencil/die combo Jolly St. Nick! He is a giant Santa that fits onto an A2 card, or you could make him into a tag or shaped card. I absolutely am smitten! My finished card is an A2 white card base layered with red and stenciled snowflakes…. Then the Santa image. The stamp set comes with sentiments that fit perfectly onto his beard area. The whole thing is just CUTE! I added glitter glue to the white parts of his hat. I used Concord and 9th ink pads to stencil everything… I hope he makes you smile too.

My second card for today features the brilliantly pretty Yuletide Lane stamps and dies! You know I love me some Christmas cottages! My finished card is an A2 white card base layered with patterned paper from C9 from a couple years ago…. Then that gorgeous cozy cottage. It’s so fun to mix and match windows and doors and wreaths…. Even perfectly matching snow drifts for the roof!! I’m imagining myself inside watching Christmas movies by the fire with some cocoa…. I love this festive color palette with a bit of blue thrown in for good measure.

  • The Greetery – Joy to the World!

Good morning friends! Happy Friday! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. It’s in full swing and it’s coming fast. Christmas will be here soon. I am enjoying the preparations and the work parties, and the wrapping and the decorating! It’s been a while since I worked in an office during the holidays and it’s been fun wearing all my Christmas clothes and decorating our office. We had a wonderful staff Christmas party on Wednesday too. Ho Ho Holidays! I have not been crafting too much. I am taking my own advice and showing myself some grace. I am still getting used to working full time and trying to fit in everything else…..so I’m not putting immense pressure on myself to be creative. I guess I just needed a little break. I do have a pretty project to share with you today though! It’s my turn on The Greetery blog and I used one of my favorite product suites to make this card!

My finished card is an A2 white card base, layered with woodgrain and vellum (I love the mix of textures) and then that gorgeous floral spray. My card features the Banner and Bough suite of stamps, stencils and dies. I also used some other festive greenery and a big gold snowflake. I used Traditional red and green but then popped in some pretty blue for the sentiment.

I started the card by stenciling the Banner and Bough stencils onto white cardstock using Distress Inks. Then I did the stamped portions and then die cut out the bouquet. Here is my side view to show you the layers… Of course I added glitter and pearls. This card has a bit of an old fashioned classic Christmas vibe….

I splashed everything generously with gold paint! I love just that bit of shimmer that adds to a project. I used chunky glitter to also make it sparkle. I do love those finishing touches!!

I think we’re going to a big holiday craft fair and also to the local skating rink to watch the skaters and listen to the carols…. I feel like I just have to cram in all the fun things before the season ends. What are you up to this weekend!! Love ya! XOXO

  • The Greetery – Merry Christmas Gifts!

Hi creative and crafty friends! It's my turn on The Greetery Blog today, and I'm sharing my project here too! Hope you're doing great and enjoying this beautiful Fall season. My birthday is over, and voting day is over. It will be Thanksgiving before we know it…and then Christmas! The rest of the year is going to fly by!!  For my project today I created a classically red and green Christmas Card using the gorgeous Gifts Galore Stencils and Dies… This card is nice and flat for mailing too! I added a bit of sparkle to it, and I used the new Warm and Cozy stamp set for the perfect sentiment. Time to make Christmas cards for sure!

My finished card is an A2 white card base. I layered green patterned paper on top of the white card base. To begin the card I used the Gifts Galore Stencils and kept my colors to only red and green. This idea has been in my head for a long time and I really like how it turned out. I used two shades of red and two shades of green for a clean monochromatic look. I die cut the bows and ribbons using the Gifts Galore dies – and used bright gold cardstock.

I trimmed my presents panel down to 4" x 5.25". I glued all the gold pieces onto the gifts and then added a few pearls as embellishments. I heat embossed the pretty sentiment onto vellum using white embossing powder for an elegant look. I wrapped my vellum strip around the presents and affixed that whole panel to the card base. I couldn't resist adding a few snowy white paint splatters too!

  • The Greetery – Holly Vintage Christmas Card!

Hi there my creative and crafty friends! I'm back – two days in a row! August is always that strange time each year…when one day I'm posting Fall projects, one day it's Halloween projects and the very next day it's Christmas projects! Ha! Everyone is trying to get all their holiday new releases out in time for us all to make our cards and other things! So today….it's Christmas! Today is my day up on The Greetery Blog today to share. And of course I'm posting here on my blog too. The inspiration came from the beautiful Birth Month Blooms Cuttables from the recent new Greetery release. I just loved the Holly graphic and felt a vintage Christmas card would show it off! It's never too early to start making your holiday cards, right?!

My finished card is an A2 cream card base, layered with green argyle patterned paper, a kraft layer, and then a pretty tag. I went with a vintage vibe in rich classic holiday colors, with gold accents. All my supplies are listed HERE or at the bottom of my post!

I started by die cutting out the cream tag using the Speed Tagging Die Set, and a cream circle using the Sentiment Suite Basics Die Set. I also die cut the Holly Cuttables using the matching dies. I die cut a gold snowflake using the Snowflakes #2 Dies and gold glitter cardstock.

I inked the edges of the tag and the circle using Distress Inks and a foam dauber. I stamped the words Holly, and Hope using the Birth Month Q4 stamp set and the Comfort and Joy stamp set. I used brown ink to stamp the words for a more vintage look. Here's a side view of all my layers and pieces.

I splattered the tag and holly using gold paint and I also splattered gold paint on the green argyle part. I used twine, a button and a pearl from my stash to embellish the top of the tag. I assembled everything using foam tape for dimension on the card.

  • Concord & 9th Holiday Charm Collection – Part 2!

Hellooooo again….it's meeeee again! Hi! Happy Friday! This week went by in a flash!! I hope you had a good week. Fall is the busiest time of year, and that's proving true for me lately. Lots going on, but it's all good stuff. The weather is changing finally and that makes me in a great mood!! I'm back today to share the rest of my cards I made as a guest designer for the 2023 Concord & 9th Holiday release! I shared my other five cards a few days ago, and these are the last three! It's always so much fun to work with the lovely people at Concord and 9th and their wonderful products! And, as a bonus, I have a bunch of my Christmas cards made! Excellent. One of the many things I love about C9 is that you don't need a lot of 'extras' with their dies and stamps. They think of everything, and it all comes together so nicely – you just have to choose your mood and color palette! Let's get started for today's cards!

Right now I have an Instagram giveaway going from Concord and 9th! So pop on over to Instagram and leave a comment on the post with the little houses and you'll be entered to win a $25 Gift Card to Concord and 9th! Woot!

First up is this cheerful ornament card – it's an A2 white card base covered with one of the brand new patterned papers…. I used the brand new Ornament Stamp and Stitch stamps and dies set… I chose to go with soft peachy pink and bright red, oh and a pop of silver glitter paper. I used the Stitched Vines die for my background….

Now, this next card was SOOOO fun to make! My card is an A2 white card base layered with soft pink and more white…. This card features the brand new Over the Rooftops stamps and dies. What a joy! I had fun mixing and matching colors for everything and I love this retro color palette, using the Oceanside paper…. How cute is that tiny car? And that little reindeer? And those teeny wreaths!?

And my final card from this new release! This is an A2 card base, covered with one of the new patterned papers, then vellum, then white. This card features the brand new Christmas Cloche dies! LOVE! I used gold glitter paper to make my cloche, and backed it with very soft blue paper. I stamped white snowflakes onto the tree and used enamel dots as ornaments. • Let’s kick off Christmas 2022 – Projects from the Honey Bee Make it Merry Collection!

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How was your Thanksgiving? I hope you had a great one! Our Thanksgiving was very quiet and peaceful here at home. I did the cooking and we relaxed and watched some movies. The holiday days always go so quickly! Now it's Black Friday! Are you shopping today? We usually go out at 5am and go shopping and hang out but this year we're not doing that. There isn't the budget this year and really, honestly, I want for nothing! I am so blessed and we are in general trying to be more zen so we are home crafting and decorating instead of in the shopping madness! Maybe next year we'll get back at it! We have a full weekend to come with my work at the store (I work part time at Paper Source) and church activities. But enough yammering on from me….Let's get to some crafty things!

There were SO many wonderful Christmas releases from the stamp companies this year! Wow! I feel like everyone crushed it. Today I'm sharing FOUR cards in one post! Cards I made with the EXTRA SUPER DUPER FABULOUS Make it Merry release from Honey Bee Stamps. Like wow. WOW. I saw the new items and the ideas flooded my brain. I sat down this past week and made everything and I'm so excited to share it all with you. It's a little bit vintage, a lot classy, and some fun too. My cards all have a different flavor to them. This is one of those long posts with tons of pictures, so grab your coffee and spend some creative time with me! I'll show you all four cards first and then go into the detail photos. Thank you for being here with me!

All four cards are A2 sized card bases. There are tons of little details I put into each card to make it my creation – that is my signature – I love the small details! The supplies are listed at the bottom of my post (or click here). There are tons of Black Friday crafting sales now on these items too!

Let's go a bit more in depth on this classic Christmas poinsettia card! This card features the Lovely Layers Poinsettias and the Vintage Picnic Basket Dies… SO much fun and vintagey goodness!! Lots of snow and some gold too…. I die cut the poinsettia dies from dark red paper and blended on some darker red distress ink to the tips. I die cut the leaves from both green and gold. Nothing says classic vintage Christmas like red, green and gold….and plaid! The picnic basket die is genius and so much fun. I die cut it from plaid cardstock to mimic those old thermos tins.

Just like all the other gorgeous Honey Bee Layered Florals, this Poinsettia came together like a dream. It's four layers and then the yellow center. EASY to put together! I used Snowfall Grit Paste and Opaque White Grit Paste to make snow and painted it onto the leaves and petals and set them aside to dry. In this photo you can also see that gorgeous background texture plate….love…. I used bits and bobs of the Winter Greenery Dies also to complete my arrangement.

My card base is made from woodgrain cardstock and layered with red and cream…

For the picnic basket I wanted a hint of metallic to make it look like a metal picnic basket. I used the Foundry Wax in Gilded to add gold with my fingers just at certain places…. I really like how this came out!!

Here's a side view of that beautiful poinsettia flower! I gently lifted the petals with my finges to raise them upwards. I used Bearly Glue to glue them all together. I added some gems to the flower center and splattered on some snowy white ink…

I think this bells card might be my favorite one of the bunch! I LOVE how it came out with that 50's Christmas vibe!!! These dies are so pretty. I found just the right striped paper in my stash and it all came together…. I used the new Holiday Bells Dies along with the Winter Greenery Dies (just used the Holly leaves) to make this card. I again used red and green to create a vintage/classic look. I die cut the bells from red cardstock and used Copic Markers to add the darker red you see on the botton part of the bells. I used cream and silver cardstock to complete the bells.

Here's a close up of my little cluster at the top of my bells. I had a red bow at first but it didn't look right with all the other red… So I finally decided on a pretty teal bow. I think that keeps with the 50's theme I was going for. I layered cream, red, stripes and vellum and then an oval for my card. To apply the texture paste snow is a bit tricky. It took me a few tries to get it the way I like it. I used a small paint brush but instead of 'painting' I 'dabbed' the paste on, leaving it super bumpy. I found if I 'painted' it, when it dried it was flat….

    11

I used some glitter glue Diamond Stickles on the yellow part of the bells. I added a few clear and white gems to finish off the card. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink instead of black, and die cut it with the matching die.

A few quick and easy ways to add details to your cards…. When you're making die cuts, either blend on some distress inks with a blender brush, or use your markers to add some quick shading… Add gems, pearls, enamel dots, rhinestones for a bit of texture…. Add paint splatters in white, black or gold for that artsy feel (or snow feel!) Use a layer of vellum in between some of your other layers to add depth…. Me, you know, more is more. So I use all these things! Ha!

    11

My next card features the new Winter Greenery Dies, the new Mason Jar Vase Dies and the previously released Build A Snowman Dies (a favorite)…. I wanted to make a little scene inside of a mason jar…. This card has a fun and playful feeling to it… I found the red snow paper in my stash and it's still available! It matched my card perfectly….

I built my classic snowman and gave him a plaid scarf and a peppermint on his hat! Of course he has a broom and a little red cardinal friend too! I wanted some trees in my scene and the trees from the new Winter Village dies set were PERFECT!! I added a stitched hill to set the scene and added my trees… The mason jar was die cut from light blue cardstock and I stamped some snow onto it….

    11

I used Winter Greenery for the pine boughs and the bow from the bells die set for the top of the jar…. I added a small snowflake to the center.

For this last card I wanted to make another poinsettia in PINK! Such a pretty pop of icy colors…and silver….and blue…. This card is so cheerful and bright!! I made the poinsettia and then splashed on silvery white metallic watercolor!! I made the background with the awesome Fancy Flakes Die… I used a new to me embossing powder that is really pretty and glittery…it's called Silver Moonlight. YUM.

I made the leaves from green and silver – again trying to get that 50's vintage look… I used vellum as my top layer.

My first card today features the brand new Jumbo Curiosity Ornaments and the brand new Twinkle Background Die (swoon)! My finished card is an A2 white card base. I used the Twinkle Background as my layer to feature that pretty ornament!

My second card for today showcases the brand new Mistletoe Arches stamp, dies, and stencil suite!! It also features the brand new Arched Holiday Sentiments stamps and dies. I went with a frosty pink and green color palette and I could not love it more. These stencils are awesome. My finished card is an A2 card base. I also layered some vellum and hot pink gingham to this fresh and happy card.

Here's a close up view of the sentiments and my card layers. I used Copper embossing powder for this project – and it matches the pink! Like a soft rose gold feeling to it!! I started by stenciling the entire panel of Mistletoe branches and berries and then die cut it out with the matching die. I stamped the arched sentiment in black onto an arched panel. I used pink ink to ink blend just the bottom of the arched part.

  • Vintage Style Christmas Cards – it’s almost December!

Hi everybody! Can you believe tomorrow is December 1st? Now Christmas is gonna be here like in a blink of an eye!! We decorated the house over the weekend and switched everything from Fall to Christmas. It looks really pretty and happy at our house and I like it!! I got down the bins (yes, bins) of Christmas apparel so I can be festive all December long! Yeah, I'm the crazy lady who wears Christmas sweaters!! I have gathered quite a collection over the years. I have one sweater still that's about 25 years old now. Tomorrow I'm going to be doing gift wrapping at the mall with our church and I cannot wait. I LOOOOVE wrapping presents! I signed up for a couple of shifts of wrapping. I'm thinking about Christmas cooking and it's like Santa's workshop here in the craft room. The entire floor is covered in Christmas stuff. Ha. I hope you are doing great this week. Sending a big holiday hug your way today!

On Sunday I had a 'free' day in the craft room to make whatever I wanted – no rules or assignments. I had some cool Tim Holtz products on my list to use and decided to make some vintage style Christmas cards to share with you. These are 'all day' cards. Hahaha. Waiting for layers to dry and adding more and more stuff to everything. Love it. I don't do this kind of crafting enough!! Both of these cards are big fat squares – more room for stuff. Let's get started.

The focal point of this card is Mr. Winston the Snowman!! Isn't he dapper in his top hat?? This is a Tim Holtz Die set called Winston – Colorize! There are tons of pieces and layers and coolness. There were a lot of different routes to go with this die set… I decided to die cut out all the pieces from Watercolor paper and then I used Distress Inks to color all the pieces. For the card I layered kraft and plaid papers and then stamped and inked another watercolor panel for the top.

The sentiment is from the Labels Sticker Pack – I thought he was Holly Jolly!! The die set comes with a broom for Winston. I didn't really want to use the broom so I started rummaging through all my die sets. BAM! I found it – the Tattered Florals set has a perfect branch to make Winston some arms! What do you think?? And in his hand he's holding a big fat heart!

Here's a close up of the snowman – you can see the die cut layers…. Everything is colored with Distress Inks. When I watercolor with my Distress Inks I used my minis and I smush some ink onto a big stamping block. I keep some water nearby and add water as I go. This is a great way to watercolor!! The ink is super forgiving and easy to layer.  I also die cut two holly branches to make some greenery behind him. Lots of Rock Candy Glitter!! I made some snow too! I improvised and mixed together some Embossing Paste and some white Nuvo drops to make a paste to look snowy. Then of course, I covered it in more glitter!!

For the background, I stamped some postmarks and some snowflakes. The snowflakes are so funky – from the Snarky Cats stamp set!! In this photo you can see the scarf – it's four pieces!!!! Nice and thick.

This next card is classic vintage Christmas with a big bold beautiful poinsettia!! I bought the Tim Holtz Mica Sprays and the first idea that came to mind was using them on my favorite poinsettia dies!! Guess what?? It came out so nice! I layered kraft and black paper, then Tim Holtz patterned paper. The plaid portion I stenciled with the TH Plaid Stencil onto watercolor paper in Evergreen Bough Ink.

The pieces for the poinsettia were die cut from watercolor paper to be nice and sturdy for lots of ink! I sprayed the petals and leaves using only the Holiday Mica Spray Stains. I let them dry for quite a while. I used Icicle Crackle Paste on top of the colors…. It's more subtle than I was hoping…. I would have done it again but it took a really long time to dry. I was looking for bigger cracks – but I don't think I put on a thick enough layer. I splattered some white paint onto the pieces….and glitter….and snow….

For the sentiment I used a Christmas word charm with some twine…..  I added some stickers from the TH Sticker Book for some more color…

Here's a close up of the flower. You can see the crackle effect on the petals. It's very pretty (and vivid) in person!! I love how it came out.

I stenciled the plaid stencil using a blender brush and Evergreen Bough ink. Then I used Vintage Photo Ink and a sponge dauber to go around the edges of the plaid panel. I splashed on some ink splatters too, to make it look aged.

  • Hello Bluebird Holiday 2021 New Release!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday and Happy November! My birthday is this week! Scorpio power! Any other fellow Scorpios out there?? A LOT of my friends also have November birthdays!! And the rest of this year is going to go by in a nano second! Buckle up! I hope your Halloween was fun! Let's kick off the new week on a positive note with some cuuuuuute Christmas cards I made with the new Hello Bluebird release! The new items went live for sale on Friday night – so all the new sets are ready for crafting! CLICK HERE to shop Hello Bluebird. You guys know I LOOOOOOOOVE Hello Bluebird!! I always am smiling so big when I get to create with these adorable sets. I made three cards with three new stamp sets. LOTS of pictures today so grab a cuppa and sit down with me for a bit.

First up is a card made with the new "Sweet Christmas" stamp set. OMG the cutest little gingerbread boys and girls and their beautiful house! The finished card is an A2 white card base that I covered with pink striped paper….

Hello Bluebird stamps, hello bluebird stamps and dies, winter, christmas, gnomes, gingerbread house, gingerbread man, copic markers, holiday, skating, slimline card, winter skate stamp set, sweet christmas stamp set, gnome for the holidays stamp set, ovals dies, distress ink blending, card ideas, handmade christmas cards, plaid, stripes, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

Like, seriously, can you even stand it??? My process for making these three cards is this: First I stamp and die cut out ALLLL the images. Whew. Then I design my card layouts using the uncolored images. Once I have my design I choose my color scheme and my patterned paper. THEN I color! I use the color of the patterned paper to match my Copics. Once Everything is all colored, I go through and add glitter and white gel accents to everything. I set it all aside to dry. While the glitter is drying I do my background ink blending (the next two cards) and let that dry. Finally I assemble everything together into a card – the best part!!

Hello Bluebird stamps, hello bluebird stamps and dies, winter, christmas, gnomes, gingerbread house, gingerbread man, copic markers, holiday, skating, slimline card, winter skate stamp set, sweet christmas stamp set, gnome for the holidays stamp set, ovals dies, distress ink blending, card ideas, handmade christmas cards, plaid, stripes, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

I stamped some aqua snowflakes in the sky and added that pretty sentiment!

I used a strand of lights from a previously released HB set – I think it fits perfectly on there! I used white pen to draw on the 'frosting' on the gingerbread kids! See him peeking out the window mischievously!?

Hello Bluebird stamps, hello bluebird stamps and dies, winter, christmas, gnomes, gingerbread house, gingerbread man, copic markers, holiday, skating, slimline card, winter skate stamp set, sweet christmas stamp set, gnome for the holidays stamp set, ovals dies, distress ink blending, card ideas, handmade christmas cards, plaid, stripes, wanda guess, a blog called wanda

The next card is another of my favorite things: Gnomes! I used the "Gnome for the Holidays" stamp set!! This finished card is also an A2 card base. I used the new ovals dies to cut an oval to frame my scene. I used a traditional color palette of red and green, with some pops of aqua!

  • Winter Cuties from Hello Bluebird Stamps!

Helllloooooo my friends! It's the last day of November! And I'm feeling the Christmas spirit at home and in the craft room! I stamped a lot this weekend and used my brand new stamps from Hello Bluebird! I swear I smile the entire time I'm using their fun and pretty stamps and dies! They bring me joy for sure. I got to color, and glitter and generally get in the feeling of winter! I have two cards to share with you today! Let's kick off this season! I hope you had a great long weekend and a wonderful Thanksgiving too. XO

First up is this most adorable and dapper snowman, skating by to wave hello!! Gosh, I love him. This finished card is an A2 card base. I layered black and then new checked paper to frame him just right. I used the new Pine Boughs dies to create some sprays of greenery around him. Oh, and lots of glitter!!

I stamped and colored my snowman with Copic Markers and then die cut him out with the matching die. Here you can see I cut a second hat out and colored that and put it on top of the other one. This is a fun way to pop up elements of your card. His pretty red scarf is fluttering in the wind. I added white gel pen accents and Diamond Stickles. Cuz you know he's cold and frosty!

The JOY word is from the new Joy and Peace words dies. I die cut it out three times and glued the three together to make it thicker to stand out on my card. I glued it on top of some greenery. I love a punch of aqua with all that red!!

Here's a top down view of all the layers (and lots of foam tape!!)

The bow is in silver paper and I added one little white enamel dot to finish it off. I also splattered some snow on top of the greenery. I inked the edges of those holly leaves with a bit of distress ink and a small sponge dauber.

Next up is a Winter Forest card with some cute critters enjoying their coffee together! The card is a white A2 card base. I ink blended the background and added some snowy hills to create a scene.

I stamped and die cut out the birds, trees, and animals and colored them with Copic Markers. For the trees, I used the generally same colors as the background to give a cohesive feeling to the colors of the card. I used Three shades of Distress ink on Bristol cardstock to make my background.

Usually I will use white paint and splatter 'snow' all over my card. This time, though, I tried something different and it gave a totally different feel! I used my white gel pen and hand drew on all the 'snow' on the background! I like how it came out, so I'll be using this technique again for sure. It looks like cartoon snow.

Here are my snowy trees and the colors I used to make them! For coloring the trees, I only colored the top 2/3 of each layer. I left the tips white like you would actually see on a snowy tree. Once I had them all colored I used Nuvo White Blizzard Drops to add the ice/snow on the tips.

Everything is attached to the card using foam squares.

  • Merry Christmas Deer!!

Hi guys!!!! Oh my gosh! I have the cutest project every to show you today!! Merry Christmas Deer!! EEK. How's your week going? Yesterday was my husband's birthday so we're celebrating everything this month! It's fun to do lots of activities and hang out together. We've been going to craft fairs and movies and the ice rink…all kinds of things. Only two weeks until Christmas now!! And then it's 2020!!! OMG I feel like we were all just celebrating 2000! And freaking out about Y2K! Twenty years already!! I have just a couple more projects to share before the end of the year. I'm kind of winding down here in the studio.

I have something REALLY BIG AND FUN coming the week of Christmas. I am so excited to tell you – but we have to wait a bit longer! It's a celebration of some milestones for me and my crafting journey.

On to today's project! It's a Christmas Deer! And he's drinking cocoa! And wearing mittens! I literally can't stand the cuteness! The supplies for today's project are all from Lawn Fawn, Concord & 9th and Doodlebug. This card was pure joy to make. You know how you're making something and you find yourself smiling because you love it so much? Yeah, that. The finished card is a kraft A2 card base….

I will tell you – yes – this has a lot of pieces! But it was easy to put together!! The main body of the deer is from the Woodland Critters Dies set. You can make a deer, a squirrel, a raccoon, a fox and an owl all from the same die set! So cute! Then I added on the Winter add-ons…The scarf, mittens, ear muffs, cocoa, etc. So this is two die sets. They are called Huggers – because they 'hug' things in their arms. You could put a flat candy, a note, a gift card…whatever you think of! I chose to give my little sweetie a mug to hold.

I used cardstock for the body, feet, ears, etc. The scarf and ear muffs were made with patterned paper from my Doodlebug Stash. The sentiment was heat embossed onto a black strip.

In this photo you can really see how the arms fold over to hold things. Can you even stand it? I'm already thinking of Valentine projects for these dies! Maybe a little squirrel holding some candies!!??

I used a white gel pen to add some dots on her face, and highlights on all the pieces. This is a quick and easy way to 'jazz' up cardstock pieces and die cuts. I added Diamond Stickles to the heart, whip cream and ears.

See the pretty background swirls on the white layer? That's one of my favorite dies from Concord & 9th! I stamped a few snowflakes on that white panel also.

The details are incredible – see the snowflake pattern on the mittens?? Love.

I used small sponge daubers and a few Distress Inks to add shading to the antlers and the face parts.

Thanks for coming by today! I hope your week has been awesome! I'll see you next week with something new! Take care and Happy Merry Wonderful Holidays to you! XOXO
