Anna Griffin Wildflower Meadow Card Kit!

Hi everybody! How are you? Have you been crafty this weekend? What are you up to? I am up to staying cool! Oh yeah it's hot hot hot here! I'll be inside with my iced coffee, thank you very much! LOL. I have a set of cards to share today and there are six total – I seem to be making multiples lately!! You guys know that I looooooove Anna Griffin supplies and especially the AG card kits. My cards today were made with the new Anna Griffin Wildflower Meadow Card Kit! The kit makes 12 cards total (with items left over) and I made half of them the other day. I will save the rest for a different crafting session. I adore these kits because you can sit down and just craft – you don't have to come up with all the ideas. You can just mix and match the elements in a way you like. I always add my own special details on the kit cards: paint splatters (gold or white), pearls and gems, and Stickles too. I do love to add a bit of sparkle.

I buy my Anna Griffin supplies directly from her website, or from HSN and now from Scrapbook.com! I have a nice little collection going now, but I've been a fan since day one of her scrapbooking journey!!

I won't go into great detail on each card – the were all made with elements from the card kit. The kit comes with envelopes too and all occasion sentiments. Now I have a very nice stash of cards made!! Everything is 3d and accented with gold foil. So pretty. Every card is A7 (5"x7") size. I am smitten with the color palette of this kit – super feminine and pastel. Kind of makes me think of Marie Antoinette for some reason!!

Bunny Pop Up Easel cards for Easter 2024!

Hi creative and crafty friends! Happy weekend! I hope you have a fun weekend planned! Yesterday we went to the Sewing Expo here in Sacramento and enjoyed a day out and about. It was mostly sewing and quilting things but I generally just enjoy being around crafting so it was nice. Tomorrow night we're going to a concert at church, and then it will be one week until Easter! Our weather turned a bit and it's cloudy and rainy again, but hey, that's spring around here!!

Today's post has a TON of pictures! I made four cards and I'm sharing lots of pictures of all four cards because each one is similar, and yet very different. And we know I love the details! I recently bought the Bunny Easel Dies set from Anna Griffin and it makes the most perfect Easter cards! I loooooooved making them! I usually buy my Anna Griffin items from HSN or direct from her website. As far as I know, everything is still available (for next year….)

Each finished card folds into an A7 envelope (5"x7") and I chose pastel pink envelopes which looks so nice!! The main die that does the folding part is a very long die, so you will need the extra long cutting plates for your die cutting machine. After I die cut the bases, I went to town mixing and matching colors and embellishments…. I also used some other Anna Griffin Dies/Embossing Folders to make the crosses. All the flowers and sentiments are from AG also.

I used loads of papers from my scrapbook paper stash! I used pretty florals and ginghams of course. I used metallic paper and also cream cardstock for the bunnies. Really just mixed and matched without too much effort or analysis.

I combined pearl embellishments and ribbons from my stash too! I'm trying to use everything! LOLZ. (Are you in that same boat??!)

Each card is sooooo different! They all fold up and then the bottom tucks into the labels so it stands up straight for display!

I embellished the bottom part of each card too. I splattered on gold paint everywhere!! And clear diamond Stickles… and and and…. Hee hee.

I love these 3D flower embellishments and added glitter to most of them…

OOOOOHHHHH those lilies!!! And the gorgeous fonts…

The die cut for the top layer bunny is SO incredibly detailed and pretty.

I put some pink art chalk on this one for her ears and cheek. If there's one thing I hoard more than paper…it's ribbon!!

And here is a side view of what the bunny looks like when standing up tall! Be sure to use double sided cardstock for a polished/finished look.

These dies are really gorgeous and fun to work with. I feel like I could have made twenty cards, just mixing and matching all the pretty elements. I love Easter time and the motifs and colors of the season. I was able to customize each one in my own unique style and it was a very nice day in the craft room creating these to share with you! Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2024! And Happy Birthday to Lucky!

Top o' the morning to you friends! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Happy Sunday! Hope you're having a great weekend! Are you wearing your green? I've been wearing green everywhere this entire week. I kinda love St. Patrick's Day! And, it's a happy day for another big reason…. It's also my Lucky's birthday! My sweet little kitty cat is turning six today! He has had a great birthday week and is thoroughly spoiled! LOLZ. His birthday portrait is at the bottom of this post. He has the most beautiful green eyes and the best spirit. Such a good boy…so we say Happy Birthday Lucky!

I have two cards to share with you today to celebrate the Irish!! My first card was made with new supplies from PPP! The new shamrock dies are so perfect! The right size and scale for cards. I will be using these again and again. I combined the shamrocks with a gorgeous fresh plaid and some shamrock paper from our friends at Doodlebug… My finished card is a white A2 card base. This was a quick and easy card to put together and would be a good one for mass producing and flat for mailing.

I started by die cutting out all the shamrocks from the pretty shamrock paper. Then I die cut the Lucky word from matte gold and vellum. I splattered gold paint onto the shamrocks because, why not?!

I cut out a white scalloped rectangle for the base for the shamrocks. I attached them with foam squares and then added some enamel dots for good measure.

I used liquid glue to affix the Lucky dies to the card across the shamrocks.

My second card for today was made with super fabulous supplies from Anna Griffin!! This finished card is a 5" x 7" card decorated with St. Patrick's Day ephemera. I added gold splatters, glitter Stickles and pearls… It's vintagey and pretty and kinda fancy! I love that pretty font on the sentiment….

Here are a few close up photos for this card! To make this card, it's basically assembling pieces from a kit. So lovely! I made a bunch of cards last year from this same kit.

And here's the birthday portrait of my sweet Lucky!! I caught him in one of his favorite spots – by the sliding glass door in our bedroom (or as I like to call it, the cat big screen tv)! He loves to sun and watch the birdies and he waits for me to open the curtains for him each morning. He's such a sweetie! Happy birthday Lucky!

That's it for today! Just two weeks until Easter now! I have a bunch of Easter projects to share with you and I'm excited. I've been busy. Easter is my favorite holiday and I just adore all the pretty colors and themes this time of year. Have a great week ahead!! XOXO

Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2023! Projects with Anna Griffin and a special birthday today!

Hello lads and lasses!! Top O' The Morning to You! Happy St. Patrick's Day 2023! And happy Friday! I hope you're wearing your green outfits today! I'm just home in my sweatpants – lol. I do miss working in an office on festive days like this – and dressing up and having treats! I hope you have many blessings today!

Well, before I share a TON of project photos, I must acknowledge a special birthday in our family! Today is Lucky's 5th Birthday! My boo boo kitty is already five years old! How did that happen?! Here's my post announcing his arrival! Well, Lucky has the most beautiful big green eyes and he was born on St. Patrick's Day, and we are very lucky to have him! That's how he came to be named Lucky!! He is the bestest boy and brings us so much joy. So, Happy Birthday Lucky!! I got him to post for a birthday portrait….

My projects for today are numerous! LOL. I bought some pretty Anna Griffin kits and supplies and used them to make five cards and five rosettes! I used the vellum toppers and some flowers from another kit to make all my things. Anna Griffin is sold on her website or on HSN. I usually buy directly from the Anna Griffin website as they have good shipping! Grab a cuppa (or an Irish Whiskey!) and spend some time with me! XO

I'll show you my cards first…. All the cards are 5×7 (A7) size because that is the size that the Anna Griffin Papers are made for. I usually just use some cream or white cardstock and make my own folded 5×7 card bases. I mixed and matched all kinds of fun elements for each card. So many good things: shamrocks, and horseshoes, and flowers, and even a leprechaun!!! And, like I do, I added gold and/or white paint splatters, gems and glitter glue in clear and gold… I think it's really fun to customize and make things my own…. I'm not going to write a lot here, I'll just share the photos….

That's it for my five cards! I really have to tell you that these kits bring me such joy to put together… Most of the time I am having to really think and CREATE something usually with products never seen before. It is very nice to just sit and craft and not have to think so hard about it. That's why I love these beautiful elements and kits so much! I am so enamored with the vintage images too…

Now here is a photo of all of my rosettes together!! I used strips of paper and my scor-pal to make the round ones. I used a die from Alexandra Renke to make the heart ones (Heart Rosette Die)…. I used papers from Doodlebug in different shades of greens to make the rosettes. Then, as with the cards, I enjoyed mixing and matching all the elements…

I think this one might be my favorite!!

Happy Valentine’s Day 2023! Vintage Style Cards with Anna Griffin Supplies!

Hellloooooooo my sweethearts! Happy Valentine's Day 2023! I hope we all get lots of chocolates! Ha! Since it's Tuesday, and a work day, and Valentine's Day all at once, I am going to make homemade tacos tonight for Taco Tuesday! We will probably go out on Friday or Saturday to a nice dinner together. But after 30 Valentine's Days together, we don't really make a huge fuss out of the holiday! How about you? Will you do something fun for the holiday? My day is busy today but I'll look forward to a nice evening with my beau. Sending X's and O's your way today friends!

Today's projects were all made with new kits and supplies from Anna Griffin! I ordered these things at Christmas Time and I was so happy to put them all together. Anna Griffin paper, card kits, stickers, etc are all SO gorgeous and so vintage fabulous. Anna Griffin items are only available through her website or on HSN shopping. I have been a collector for at least 25 years!! (Our wedding announcements were made from Anna Griffin vellum!) I made NINE cards total, so you know what that means…lots of photos! Grab some coffee and spend a little Valen-time with me today!

I went over to a friend's house on Saturday to craft and hang out. These kits were the perfect thing to bring with me. I would also say this would just be a fun project for a group. No stamping on these cards and no die cutting either – that's the beautiful part – just mixing and matching and assembling. You know that I always add my own touches though. In this case, I added gold paint splatters, white paint splatters, pearls, rhinestones and Stickles (clear and gold)…. Let's take a look!

These first few cards are made from the same kit – Rocking Valentine! When you assemble them, the cards stand up, and they rock back and forth. It's very pretty and very cool. And they are heart shaped!

You really can't go wrong, mixing and matching all the colors and elements! I love those vintage florals!

These cards and kit come with the envelopes – square envelopes of course!

I mixed in flowers from different kits for all the valentines…. One of the wonderful things about creating with Anna Griffin supplies is that everything goes together. You can just get everything out and play!

Here's a side view of the mechanism that makes the card stand up. SO EASY! These little folded pieces come in the kit. Couldn't be easier. And it folds flat for mailing.

And here is the preprinted back of the heart/circle cards.

These five rectangle cards are all 5×7 (A7) cards. They are BIG! Lots of real estate to play with. I used the vellum toppers on all of these and again mixed and matched florals and hearts and sentiments…. Dreamy and vintage.

This is SO elegant and pretty!! All those yummy old fashioned colors and those fat roses. Oh My!

And this one has a touch of Wedgewood blue….and gold scrolls….

Halloween 2022 final projects – a little late! Fun with Vintage Halloween from Anna Griffin!

Hi everybody! I'm back – I think?! Gosh, what a disaster that happened here on my blog the past week or ten days… My blog/website is hosted by a company called Typepad. I use Typepad to write my posts, post photos, and read comments, etc. They are the company that puts me on the internet…. That's the basics. Well, something major happened at Typepad HQ and the whole system went down. Bloggers all over the world were not able to post anything, especially photos, for up to ten days. My blog and others were not even visible for about three days. Right at Halloween, when we're all trying to share things. As you might have guessed, I am a Type A person and it about made me crazy!! Sitting here wanting to share all the things with you…. But I guess it was a lesson in patience (not my biggest virtue!). Now that everything is coming back up, I went back and forth about sharing my final Halloween projects, but then figured what the heck. I absolutely loved making these projects and I want to show them to you! Hope that's okay with you! I missed you guys! The big giveaway is over and you blessed me so much! The winners announcement is in a separate blog post!

Hope you are all doing well and enjoyed a Happy and fun Halloween!! Our Halloween was really fun this year. We decorated A LOT. Then we set up a table in the driveway with some cool music and lots of candy and enjoyed the evening seeing the neighbors and all the cutie kids dressed up. Now it's time to get moving towards Christmas time! It will come fast!

For our wedding anniversary in early October, my husband bought me gorgeous amazing awesome crafting supplies from Anna Griffin. Everything has a vintage Halloween vibe which is one of my favorite things!! I have loved Anna Griffin products for 25+ years! I used to buy all her scrapbooking kits back in the day, and our wedding announcements are even made with her gorgeous vellum and ribbons!! So I had to have the Halloween goodies. I ended up making two pumpkin easel cards, three 5×7 cards and two medallions. Everything is from Anna Griffin – the dies, papers, vellum, rub-ons, embellishments… Her items are only available at her own website or at HSN. I used bits of Distress Inks and my signature splatters…

This card and the next one were made with a giant die set that makes an easel card! It's fantastic! You can make just a pumpkin (I'm thinking Thanksgiving cards now) or a jack-o-lantern. It's so easy to put together and I think it's super festive!

Here it is folded flat to go into an envelope! Isn't that cool?? There's no end to the ideas to decorate or the papers to use!

And here's my second easel card – made with glitterly orange paper!

I made a few decorative medallions too – using all the vintage embellishments!! I added some gems here and there and of course paint splatters!

And lastly, three big 5×7 cards full of embellishments and beautiful papers….oh my….I had so much fun making these!! Can't wait to make some more next year too!

Here is a picture of me dressed up in my Halloween outfit. My fun skirt is two layers of tulle – with velvet polka dots!! I love to twirl in it! LOLZ.

Okay, fingers crossed we will be back to our regular schedule! Have a blessed and happy day everybody!!
